Holy Spirit Part two of Who is Now the Holy Spirit as a person can be: (A)Lied to - Acts 5:3-4 (3)But Peter said, Ananias. why has satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? (4)While it remained, was it not you own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God, (B)Inundated - Hebrews 10:29 Of how much worse punishment do, you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? (C)Blasphemed - Matthew 12:31-32 (31)Therefore I say to you, every sin & blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. (32)Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. (D)Grieved - Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption One of the most serious error in many of our minds is that the Holy Spirit is that He is simply a principle or an influence. The Holy Spirit is much more than that. He has an individual existence of a conscious being. He's just as much of an individual as God the Father, God the Son. The Holy Spirit has emotions, All the things He does is characteristics of a person. He has a great personality just as God does. He is a Person, just as you or I but He is also a divine being, And you see Him you see God. In places of the Bible it speaks of Him with a mind Romans 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. The Holy Spirit speaks directly to man also, one place is in Acts. He has warned people Mary & Joseph, the Apostles. The list can go on and on. And He hasn't stopped. If we would be still we can ourselves hear Him. Such as being called to go to the Mission Field, To be a Sunday School teacher, To teach, to preach, and the list goes on. The Holy Spirit is God Himself. The comparison of both attributes are the same. (A)The Holy Spirit is called God, go back and look at Acts 5:3-4 and 2 Cor 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (B)He is eternal: Hebrews 9:14A how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God. (C)He is everywhere present: Psalm 139:7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee Your present? You can not hide from Him as you can not hide from God. That is one reason we have to ask for forgiveness. He sees everything. (D)He is all powerful: Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. (E)He is all-knowing: 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 (10)But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. (11)For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. (F)He is the Creator: Genesis 1:2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Now that we have heard about who the Holy Spirit, I would like for you to really think about who the Holy Spirit is. We all have Him, we all believe in Him, we all need Him, He is our protector, He was sent from God, Jesus had to leave so, we could have the Helper which is the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily life, to become over-comers. Not defeated victims of satan. We are winners not losers. And we have a Helper. No more defeat but, victory Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling WHO is the HOLY SPIRIT? HE IS GOD In Spiritual Form!!
