Signing Petition Against Abortion, our money making planned parenthood even richer

In this letter: A report on the March for Life . . . the petition count has crossed 500,000 signatures! . . . an update on FOCA and what to expect next -- "FOCA-by-Stealth." Dear Londa, Surrounded by over 300,000 fellow pro-lifers -- many of you! -- on Thursday, the AUL Action team and our families marched up Constitution Avenue here in Washington DC, from the base of Capitol Hill to the steps of the Supreme Court. There were so many thousands of people thronging the streets that at times we couldn't move. My eight-year-old daughter, Sarah, marched next to me, and I explained to her that we were headed to the Supreme Court so that the judges would know we believe abortion is wrong. "Mommy," she asked, "how many people will it take to overturn Roe v. Wade?" How many people indeed. My thoughts immediately went to you -- the hundreds of thousands of you who have signed the FightFOCA petition -- who have taken a public stand to say: our voices will not be silenced. The day before the March for Life the petition count reachedHALF A MILLION signatures! As I write today, the number has jumped to almost 600,000. That's partly because many people saw FightFOCA signs at the March. But it's also because so many of you responded to our call to spread the word to your churches on Sanctity of Life Sunday -- the flyers were downloaded over 20,000 times! Thank you! The success of this petition is because of YOU. The message has spread through email and through blogs and through Facebook and through word-of-mouth. Your efforts. In fact, we have been so successful that now Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, and others are saying that they aren't going to try to pass the "Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA). Don't believe it for a second. If your opponent gives up the frontal attack . . . you better start watching your flank. We are now seeing the abortion forces waging an incremental battle -- working to pass what we have termed "FOCA-by-Stealth." They think that if they take FOCA and repackage it and pass it in pieces and under different names . . . that we won't notice. But with apologies to Shakespeare, FOCA by any other name, smells just as bad. And as they pass the Stealth FOCA's, more babies will be killed and more women victimized by the abortion-on-demand regime. Case in point: I'm sure you've heard that the day after the March, President Obama used an executive order to overturn the long-standing ban on funding organizations that promote and perform abortions overseas. The media portrayed him as sensitive to pro-lifers because he waited till after the March -- in fact, he released the order at 5:00 on Friday -- a textbook stealth move to keep the story under the media radar. And now they've added subsidies for the abortion industry into the economic stimulus package. No surprise: Cecile Richards used to be the Deputy Chief of Staff to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. So it's no wonder we saw Pelosi on the Sunday shows arguing that more tax dollars for Planned Parenthood -- and fewer children -- helps the economy. Incredible. Friends, this is just the beginning. We have a lot of work in front of us. Please keep encouraging your friends to sign the FightFOCA petition. We will be using those signatures on Capitol Hill in the days ahead to argue against FOCA and ANY and EVERY piece of legislation that promotes abortion. The FightFOCA petition says to Planned Parenthood and their Congressional allies: we will not be silenced. The week before the March, my husband, Jack and I had the honor of attending the funeral of the pro-life hero, Father Richard John Neuhaus. We were all reminded that in one of his last speeches, Father Neuhaus encouraged the pro-life movement by saying, "We shall not weary, we shall not rest, until every unborn child is protected in law and welcomed in life." How many people will it take to overturn Roe? It takes you. Thanks for your work and being a part of this movement. Yours for Life, Charmaine Yoest, Ph.D.President & CEO AUL Action The Legislative Arm of Americans United for Life FightFOCA.comFightFOCA@FightFOCA.com

Jericho Walls

Garris Elkins: "Shout 'GRACE' to Your Jericho Walls" When the children of Israel entered the Promise Land ten cities stood as obstacles in their way. The first of these cities was Jericho. In Joshua 6:2 God said, "I have given you Jericho." Jericho was a promised victory. Israel was not yet an army – they were simply a group of desert wanderers with a promise. They had no army. Their resources had worn thin from years in the desert. Their only weapon of warfare was their obedience to God. The Shout was the Focal Point The Church stands before 2009 in a similar posture. We are facing a Jericho that is standing in the way. The world systems are unstable. Financial fear is trying to lure the people of God into its fear. There are a lot of walls standing in the way of promise. God is positioning His Church to bring down those walls just as He did in Jericho. We all know the story of Jericho (see Joshua 6). This was a walled city. There was no way in. God instructed Israel to march around the city once for six days. On the seventh day they were to march around the city seven times, shout, and then they would have the victory. The shout was the focal point in the story. 1.5 million voices would rise together. This was a shout of grace. A shout that said, "Our only hope is if God shows up." This shout of grace was wonderfully desperate because Israel had no way into Jericho unless God did for them what was impossible for them to do in their own strength. That is the nature of grace. Grace releases God's favor. Favor brings the victory. When we shout "grace" at our Jericho, God releases a supernatural favor that no wall can withstand. What we miss in reading this story of Jericho is the size and dimension of what took place. The city of Jericho covered only six acres of ground. If you consider the outer fortifications the size of the entire city was only nine acres in total. At the time this event took place, the children of Israel numbered about 1.5 million people. This is the relative size of cities like Dallas, Philadelphia, Phoenix and San Diego. Try to get the image of what took place at Jericho. A city of nine acres was surrounded by 1.5 million people. Tens of thousands of people deep, as far as the eye could see, were a rotating mass revolving around only nine acres. There was no single file line of people. This was a mass of humanity. For six days no one spoke a word. For six days Israel walked around the city only once each day. On the seventh day they walked around the city seven times. This was not a silent event. You don't move this many people quietly. The sound of 1.5 million people marching was powerful and loud. The earth shook. The dust cloud alone from so many feet pounding the earth would have looked like a dust storm of all dust storms. On the seventh day, at the completion of seven circumnavigations of Jericho, 1.5 million voices rose up and shouted at the walls of Jericho and the Word says the walls of the city fell down flat. "So the people shouted, and priests blew the trumpets; and when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight ahead, and they took the city." Joshua 6:20 This was no timid shout. This was an aggressive and prolonged shout as Israel closed ranks over nine acres of land. I see people running forward and shouting with arms up and raised. 1.5 million people rushed straight ahead and closed the gap over the rubble that used to define the city of Jericho. This former obstacle vanished off the map. Shout 'Grace' to Your Jericho Walls "What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of 'Grace, grace to it!'" Zechariah 4:7 Where are your walls of Jericho for 2009? Those walls will not fall by human wisdom and reasoning. Another church program will not do it. Only the shout of grace will bring it down. The shout of grace in obedience to God was the weapon of supernatural warfare for Israel. When we shout grace we are making a statement that unless God shows up we won't be able to move ahead. In 2009, God is asking His people to position themselves in unusual prophetic postures to perform unusual acts of obedience. God is asking us to shout "grace" to the walls that stand in the way of His promise. This is not a timid shout. It is loud and without apology. It comes after days of prolonged obedience and marching in the dust. Many individuals and ministries have been on a long dusty march, but now a plan for victory is before us. The plan for this season is the same plan for victory in all of recorded history – the battle plan is always a plan of grace. The cultures we live in are waiting to see God's miraculous provision demonstrated in His people. We are the ones who possess the shout of grace. The sound of grace is waiting to be echoed in every city and every nation upon the earth. Today as you stand before the walls of your Jericho - shout out loud the word, "Grace." With that shout of grace will come the dismantling of the walls of those encampments that stand in the way of the promise. • Gather your mounting bills and shout grace over them. • Stand with your spouse and shout grace into your future. • Shout grace over a wayward child. • Assemble your ministry team and shout long and hard the word of grace to every obstacle that stands in the way of your vision and calling. • Stand on the high places of your city and shout grace over the broken and lost. Once you shout the grace of God, walk straight ahead and see the glory of God. Under your feet will be the remains of fear and impossibility. Should Christians pray for Barack Obama?

Should Christians pray for Barack Obama? Jim Bramlett Jan 20, 2009 Dear friends: QUESTIONS: (1) Should Christians pray for the new American President, Barack Hussein Obama? If so, (2) how should they pray? ANSWERS: Should we pray? Yes, Christians should pray even for those who may curse or mistreat us : “Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you” (Luke 6:28, NIV). Whereas Islam tells people to blow up their enemies, Jesus tells us to love our enemies. This is not to say that Obama is our enemy, but his stance on some vital issues tells us he is an enemy of God’s truths. How to pray. Yesterday, WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah published a controversial article titled “Pray Obama Fails.” This is contrary to the popular mantra among some weak-kneed conservative leaders, ministers, and pundits that they want Obama to “succeed.” Hogwash! Farah makes some good points. How can we pray for Obama’s anti-biblical policies to succeed? We would have to sacrifice God’s truths. This is basically Farah’s point. His excellent article is at http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=86469. But how are we to pray? I suggest the following: Pray that Barack Obama would receive the revelation that Jesus is not just another “way” but He is the only Way, and that he would receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and bend his knees to Him. Pray that Obama’s abortion agenda would fail! Pray that he would, by the Holy Spirit’s help, see the value of human life and change his position on abortion, and stop giving favor to the abortionist murderers, such as radical feminists and Planned Parenthood. Pray that Obama’s plan to give favor to homosexual militants would fail. Pray that He would, by the Holy Spirit’s help, see the sin of homosexual behavior for what it is -- an abomination to God that should not be encouraged by government. Pray that Obama’s direction toward socialism and Marxism would fail. Pray that Obama would see that capitalism and a free market economy are biblical concepts that have built this great country to be what it is -- the strongest and greatest missionary sending nation in history -- and that he would reverse his tendencies toward socialism and Marxism. Pray that any deception concerning Obama’s citizenship, his loyalties, or his ties, be fully exposed and dealt with. Pray that his ties to the Marxist liberation theology, similar radical movements and racists such as Louis Farrakhan, and Islam be broken. Pray that if Obama refuses to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit on the above subjects, that God would discipline and correct him, and if necessary, stop him. Pray that God would give Obama an understanding of God’s plan for history and that we are at the end of the age. Pray that God would give Obama an understanding of Israel’s role in God’s plan and the need to support Israel against her enemies. Pray that God would bless and protect Barack Hussein Obama, and as long as he is in office give him wisdom to govern in a way that would bring righteousness and favor to the nation. The Holy Spirit instructs: “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Amen. Jim

A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jellyjar from its hiding place in the closet. She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three times, even the total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes. Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back doorand made her way 6 blocks to the Rexall Drug Store with the big Red Indian Chief sign above the door. She waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment. Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good, finally she took a quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. I'm talking to my brother fromChicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he said without waiting for a reply to his question.'Well, I want to talk to you about my brother,' Tessanswered back in the same annoyed tone. ' He's really, really sick... and I want to but a miracle.' 'I beg your pardon?' said the pharmacist. 'His name is Andrew and he has something bad growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now So how much does a miracle cost?' We don't sell miracles here, little girl. I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little. 'Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get the rest. Just tell me how much it cost.' The pharmacist's brother was a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, 'What kind of a miracle does your brother need?' ' I don't know,'Tess replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation, but my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my money.' 'How much do you have?' asked the man from Chicago 'One dollar and eleven cents,' Tess answered barely audibly."And it's all the money I have, but I can get some more if I need to.' 'Well, what a coincidence,' smiled the man. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact price of a miracle for little brothers.' He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said 'Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you need.' That well dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon, specializing in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it wasn't long until Andrewwas home again and doing well. Mom and Dad were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.'That surgery,' her Mom whispered. 'was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost?'Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost..one dollar and eleven cents...plus the faith of a little child. In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need. A miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law. I know you'll keep the ball moving! Here it goes. Prayer Request

This is from my friend who is a missionary and runs an orphanage in China. She needs prayers from all of us. She is a member of Wall Street Christian Church. Subject: Need serious help Dearest Friends, We really need you to help spread the word that we need your prayers at this time. Zhang Jun phoned last night and the govt. is really angry because they said this was the third time that we were told that a mother is teaching the children....and that we had to get to the bottom of this and deal with it . Our advesary may be the old man Liu who is known to be a 'game player'. But nevetheless this is God's work, has always been His and now we really need His wisdom and help. Forgive me but even here I must take care what I say. This is a very serious dangerous threat at this time. Everything in the home is simply wonderful but our enemy will never stop trying. Thanks for getting this out to anyone who would pray for us. Lots of love, Jane and all of us with SANCS

God's Wings

God's Wings - A little something to put things in perspective... After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park , forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast...because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live. 'He will cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you will find refuge.' (Psalm 91:4) Being loved this much should make a difference in your life. Remember the One who loves you, and then be different because of it. Send this to people that I wanted God to bless and I picked you. Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special. To realize the value of a friend...is to lose one. Author unknown

Life In the Blood

LIFE IN THE BLOOD John 6:53-58 (NKJ) 53) Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man & drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54) "Whoever eats My flesh & drinks drinks My blood has eternal life, & I will raise him up at the last day 55) "For My flesh is food indeed, & My blood is drink indeed. 56) "He who eats My flesh & drinks My blood abides in Me, & I in him 57) "As the living Father sent Me, & I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will live because of Me. 58) ."This is the bread which came came down from heaven -- not as your fatehers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever." 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 16) The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the Blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17)For we, being many, are one bread & one body; for we all partake of that one bread. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13 12) For as the body is one & has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13) For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body -- whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves of free -- & have all been made to drink into one Spirit. Just as water is two-fold meaning so does the Holy Blood. Now with water you can use it for washing, that cleanses. And if we use it for drinking we become refreshed & revived. Knowing the FULL POWER of the Blood of Jesus; we must be taught by Him what the blessing of drinking His blood is. Just as we know about the difference between washing & drinking. That is necessary & pleasant to use water for cleaning. It is much more necessary & reviving to drink water. Now without the cleaning or cleansing it isn't possible to live like we should. And we all know we would die without drinking. We need water to sustain life. Now if we went with-out drinking the blood of the Son of Man. we wouldn't be able to have eternal life. We couldn't have it at all. Jesus spook of this to the Jews & under Moses Law there were severe penalties. It doesn't sound very good to us either. Jesus had to make them & us to understand the truth behind the salvation by the blood. The blessing in fellowship with the blood of Jesus gives us more than cleansing or sanctification; The BLOOD places us in a new relationship with God. The blood also do something in us; are we not entirely renewed within. Does not John 6 53 say Most assuredly, I say to you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man & drink His blood, you have no life in you. God was distinguishing between two kinds of life. A natural life of body/soul. That they needed a New Life, a heavenly life. Now the natural life must be feed with water & bread. The New Heavenly Life must be nourish by heavenly food & drink by Jesus Himself. Eternal life is the life of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to reveal eternal life in the flesh & communcated it to us in the flesh. This is symbolical of flesh & blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is the food by which etrnal life is nourished & sustained in us; My flesh is meat indeed, & my blood is drink indeed. This brings us into perfect union with God. The Scripture offers the holy mysterious expression, "to drink the blood of Christ. Drinking means a deep, true grasping in our spirits by faith understanding the power of the blood. If you have a transfusion of blood it can either kill you or save your life. In Son of Man it can & does save your life. You need to nourish & sustained it. Get into the Word of God the Bible. It gives you life. Worship Him, Praise Him. Believe in the Blood and what the Blood of our LORD Jesus Christ has for us. In Jesus Christ Name, Rev. Londa Picard

Sin Forever Conquered Hebrews 10:9 -10 (1611 KJV) 9) Then said He Low, I come to thy will (O God:) He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second 10) By the wich will we are sanctified, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Go back and reread those verses. In nine He taketh away the first Adam & Aniamil blood to replace it by Jesus Christ Our Lord & His sanctification through His Blood. What else does ONCE FOR ALL MEAN? Because the offering of His Body was His Surrender of Himself to do the will of God, And by that will WE become sanctified. Jesus Christ perfect OBEDIENCE in which He gave/surrendered Himself freely, so that God's Holyness would be accomplished in Him. The meritorious cause of our salvation , at the same time, is the power by which sin was forever conquered! By one man & the shedding of His shedding of His blood put the power of sin and of the devil under our feet. It is also that same sanctification of Jesus blood that it may be created in our own hearts !! Hebrews 2:11 (1611 KJV) It is a faithful saying; for if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him. We both receive from the one Father & we share in that sanctification. Jesus is that sanctifier. We must lay hold of these facts to understand & experience what that sanctification by the blood actual mean: That sanctification is the s & purpose of all the whole suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ sufferings. Jesus blood was & is the fruit & means of blessing! His sanctification of Himself has the chracterist of those suffering & laid its power & blessing for us, Jesus was foreordained to be the redemption. His will to glorify His holiness in victory over sin by the sanctification of mankind after HIS OWN IMAGE. We must be consecrated to God!! And the Holy Spirit, the Holy God as Spirit, reveal in us the redemption that is in Jesus. This continues to be the main reason & purpose with Him. As the Holy Spirit, His is the Spirit of holiness!! With this pardon, cleansing from sin all have value & points toward sanctification. God no longer see's our sins but the blood of Jesus. We are marked by the precious blood of Jesus! meaning with Jesus & us we are now undivided consecration to a life wholly for God. Jesus blood is the promise & the power for us to abiding in Him & have sanctification by the blood of Jesus to have sin conquered for us that we can over come by His blood! To draw close to God. Now he who believes & hea the Lambs blood, gives himself up to believing worshop of & intimacy with the Lamb, & was bought with His blood will experience a sanctificaion beyond what we can imagine through that blood. The Lord Jesus will do this for him We will also need to grow in His knowledge to enter into the full blessing that is prepared for us! So start inquiring earnestly what the essential connection is between the blessed effect of the blood & sanctificaion. That our Lord Jesus Christ will work out in us by His blood! ck with snoopes & another blog link see bottom as this is true

A doctor-friend wrote:A couple of days ago I was running (I use that term very loosely) on my treadmill, watching a DVD sermon by Louie Giglio...and I was BLOWN AWAY! I want to share what I learned....but I fear not being able to convey it as well as I want. I will share anyway. He (Louie) was talking about how inconceivably BIG our God is...how He spoke the universe into being...how He breathes stars out of His mouth that are huge raging balls of fire...etc. etc. Then He went on to speak of how this star-breathing, universe creating God ALSO knitted our human bodies together with amazing detail and wonder. At this point I am LOVING it (fascinating from a medical standpoint, you know.) ....and I was remembering how I was constantly amazed during medical school as I learned more and more about God's handiwork. I remember so many times thinking....'How can ANYONE deny that a Creator did all of this???' Louie went on to talk about how we can trust that the God who created all this, also has the power to hold it all together when things seem to be falling apart...how our loving Creator is also our sustainer. And then I lost my breath. And it wasn't because I was running my treadmill, either!!! It was because he started talking about laminin. I knew about laminin. Here is how wikipedia describes them: 'Laminins are a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue.' You see....laminins are what hold us together....LITERALLY. They are cell adhesion molecules. They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell.. Without them, we would literally fall apart. And I knew all this already. But what I didn't know is what laminin LOOKED LIKE. But now I do. And I have thought about it a thousand times since (already).... Here is what the structure of laminin looks like...AND THIS IS NOT a 'Christian portrayal' of it....if you look up laminin in any scientific/medical piece of literature, this is what you will see... Now tell me that our God is not the coolest!!! Amazing. The glue that holds us together...ALL of us....is in the shape of the cross. Immediately Colossians 1:15-17 comes to mind. 'He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth , visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things HOLD TOGETHER. ' Colossians 1:15-17. Call me crazy. I just think that is very, very, very cool. Thousands of years before the world knew anything about laminin, Paul penned those words. And now we see that from a very LITERAL standpoint, we are held together...one cell to another....by the cross. You would never in a quadrillion years convince me that is anything other than the mark of a Creator who knew EXACTLY what laminin 'glue' would look like long before Adam even breathed his first breath!! " Faith is not knowing what the future holds, but knowing who holds the future." I wanted you to know and to undertstand that YOU are being held together by the cross of Jesus Christ! His love! His forgiveness and His marvelous power! hipandthigh.blogspot.com/2008/05/laminin-molecule-... www.snopes.com/glurge/laminin.asp

Life is To Short For

Life Is Too Short For... This devotional was written by Jim Burns Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself; each day has enough trouble of its own. — Matthew 6:34 One day when I was caught up in the tyranny of the urgent, my friend Bill McNabb sent me some thoughts entitled "Things That Life Is Too Short For." His thoughts forced me to take a look at my own life and reevaluate my priorities. Perhaps you need a dose of reality today. I'll share these special thoughts with you. Life is too short to nurse grudges or hurt feelings. It's too short to worry about getting ready for Christmas. Just let Christmas come. It's too short to keep all your floors shiny. It's too short to let a day pass without hugging your loved ones. It's too short not to take a nap when you need one. It's too short to put off Bible study. It's too short to give importance to whether the towels match the bathroom. It's too short to miss the call to worship on a Sunday morning. It's too short to stay indoors on a crisp fall Saturday. It's too short to read all the junk mail. It's too short not to call or write your parents (or children) regularly. It's too short to work at a job you hate. It's too short not to stop and talk to children. It's too short to forget to pray. It's too short to put off improving our relationships with people that we love. Life is just too short. Way too short to settle for mediocrity!

THOSE BORN 1920-1979 TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no child proof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats , seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because, WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING! We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day.And we were OK. We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ridedown the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chatrooms....... WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them! We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up game s with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not poke out very many eyes. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them! Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law! These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever! The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL! If YOU are one of them CONGRATULATIONS! You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good . While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were. Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?! The quote of the month is by Jay Leno: 'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

A Great Recipe For Life

A GREAT RECIPE FOR LIFE 1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant. 2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about what is going on in your life. Buy a lock if you have to. 3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to __________ today. I am thankful for_________ _____' 4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants. 5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts. 6. Try to make at least three people smile each day. 7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment. 8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card. 9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good. 10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. 11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does. 12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. 13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present. 14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. 15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you. 16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?' 17. Forgive everyone for everything. 18. What other people think of you is none of your business. 19. GOD heals everything but you have to ask Him. 20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. 21. Your job won't take care of you when you are in need. Your friends will. Stay in touch!!! 22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. 23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for __________ . Today I accomplished _________. 24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed. 25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings. You'll be smiling before you know it. 26. Send this to everyone you care about. Cleansed & Sanctifcation

Being cleansed & sanctifcation by the power of the blood brings us even closer to God & stay in the present of God. Simply believe that the words of 1 John 1:7 the blood of Jesus... cleanseth us from all sin Believe that it's the blood of Jesus Himself who will cleanse you in His blood & fulfill His promise in you. The cleasing from sin by His blood as a blesing which you can abide in daily! To exercise faith in the power of the blood. Now remember the blood always retains it's power & effectivness. Take hold of the blood of Jesus & believe what the Word says about the blood. Jesus blood can have us be sanctified before God. Sancitification it was the great purpose of the suffering of Christ Ephesians 5:25-26 Christ also loved the church, & gave himself for it; that He might sanctify & cleane it. He first cleansed it, He then sanctifies it. What is Sanctification; the sanctificaiton of the redeemed is we must first learn what the holiness of God is. He alone is the Holy One. Now the Holiness in God we must receive it from Him as a gift. The first meanting of Santification which is being taken out of our surroundings, by God;s command & set aside or separated as Gods own possession & for His service that is Holy. That isn't separation from sin only but from all that is in the world. Man must surrender himself willingly & heartily to the separation. Become as the High Priest did. Sanctification become ours only when it sends down its roots into & abodes in the depths of our personal lives, our wills, & our love. God will not sanctifed you if you don't want Him to. Hebrews 12:10 That we might be partakers of His Holiness This is in a personal fellowship with God & to impartation of His Holiness, it isn't a gift of something that is apart from God Himself. It's personal fellowship with Him & partaking of His divine life that sanctification can be obtained. So true Sanctification is fellowship with God & His dewling in us. Having the Holy Spirit come & dwell in us. Hebrews 13:12 Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with His own Blood suffered, Ephesians 1:4 and that they should be howy & without blame. John 17:19 For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth Hebrews 10:9 & 10 9) I come to do th the which will wey will, O God 10) By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once & for all. By which the power of sin was forever conquered! The same sanctification, may be created in our own hearts. All I can say on this is WOW! Stop & think what that means for us. To be cleaned & sanctify before God. To be able to be in His presents. WOW Christ Jesus by His Blood AMEN Rev. Londa Picard

Curry R. Blake - John G Lakes Ministry

JGLM E-Newsletter Jan. '09 Some of you may know that the Apostle Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians is one of my favorite books in the Bible. As we start this new year, I was reminded of some of the amazing things God said about you and I through the Apostle Paul in this small yet powerful book.1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: We know first off that we are being referred to because he says himself that he was writing to the saints which are at Ephesus AND to the faithful in Christ Jesus. If we are faithful in Christ Jesus, then he is writing to us. 2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Here, we are told that it is God's Will for us to have grace and peace, not just grace, grace and peace. There are so many "Christians" that I meet everyday that do not have peace. They are worried over current events in the world situation or circumstances and situations in their own lives. They demonstrate anything but the peace of God. Usually they are just as fearful as the people of the world around them. If you are under constant fear, go back to the point of your salvation and remember the peace that flooded you the moment you made Jesus your Lord. Maybe the problem is that you did not make Jesus your Lord, maybe you only made Him your Savior from sin.If so, fix it now. Bow your knee and your heart and your will. Decide to give Him your life, knowing that what He owns, He takes care of. You are of much more value to your Heavenly Father than a bird or flowers, yet He takes care of them. Trust in His love and provision. If He doesn't provide, He doesn't love. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: In this verse, it literally says that God has said every good thing about you He could possibly say. Since He said everything before you were even born, He could not have said it based upon what you had done. He said what He did based upon how He felt about you, not based upon your performance. If God has said every good thing He could say about you, then it means that He has said that you are healed and healthy (1 Peter 2:24; Isa. 53:4; 3 John 2), so as far as God is concerned He has already sent word that you are healed (Ps. 107:20). If that is not the reality you are walking in, I am sure He is puzzled as to why not. If He has said every good thing about you that He can say, then He has said your sins are forgiven, never to be remembered (by Him) again (Rom 4:7; Eph 4:32; Col 2:13; James 5:15; 1 John 2:12), if your sins are forgiven then you are a new person and should live and walk that way (2 CO 5:17-18; Eph 4:24; Col 3:10). If you are a new person, saved, forgiven, healed, and financially blessed, then there is no reason for you not to walk like Jesus did, (John 15:12; 1 John 2:6; 1 Pet. 2:21; Rom 13:8; 1 Thess 4:9; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 3:11; 1 John 3:23; 1 John 4:7; 1 John 4:11; 1 John 4:12; 2 John 5) 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: This verse proves that God chose us and spoke every good thing about us He could, even before the foundation of the world, it also shows us how we should respond to such love, by living holy and blameless by walking in the love of God toward all people. Notice we were chosen "in Him" that means that we did not merit being chosen by anything we did but rather we were chosen when God the Father considered what His Son Jesus did. 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Many are falling prey to an error in doctrine that puts all responsibility on God as to whether they or others get saved or not, this verse says that because God has chosen and predestined us to be in Christ and to be allowed to be saved we should walk in holiness. Many are called but few chosen shows that not all will be saved. God has done His part. 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. What God did through Jesus for us brings praise to the glory of His grace. His great goodness in allowing us to be saved magnifies and exalts His grace, showing how truly magnanimous He is. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Our redemption, our forgiveness is measured against the riches, the depth, the overwhelming magnitude of His grace. Our sins could never bankrupt God's grace. His grace is so much greater and deeper than all the sins of humanity. His goodness is so much greater than our badness could ever be. Does it not matter then if we keep sinning? Of course it matters. If you keep sinning it shows you were not looking for a way out of sin, but a way to get away with sin. If that is true, you have not "repented" (changed your mind about sin) and are therefore still in sin and unsaved. Death was swallowed up in life because Life (God) is so much greater than death. God is so much greater than death and sin that Jesus took death in stride like a speed bump. Jesus had no fear going into death, He knew how much more powerful Life was. He only regretted the time spent apart from God. 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; He has (past tense) overtaken us with Godly wisdom and the mental ability to comprehend it.9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: Here he tells us that God has made His Will known unto us. He also says that God has a plan for us to fulfill, which is why He has made His Will known. 10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: This is both His plan and how He is going to fulfill His Will. He is going to put all the saints in one body. This is the mystery the New Covenant saints now have the ability to walk in that the Old Covenant saints did not have. The Old Covenant saints could only have the Spirit rest upon them, but the New Covenant saints can have the Spirit abide in them and have their minds and nature renewed and changed into the nature of God. The Old Covenant saints were not "in Christ", we are. Jesus has become a "Trojan Horse" to get us into the Kingdom of God. We get in because of what Jesus did. The Old Covenant saints were under law, forced to perform perfectly or be punished. 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Again, "in Him" we find what has been provided for us. We have an inheritance. There is something that has been put aside for us to claim when we are mature. A child does not receive an inheritance, they have a "Trust" that is put in the charge of a "Trustee". The "Trustee" decides everything for the child and distributes the "trust fund" to the child as needed until the child is old enough (when for the time...by reason of use... Heb. 5:11-14). As you grow up and find out what is waiting for you on your "21st birthday", you will start to investigate and research what your new "inheritance" will provide. The more you study, the more excited you will get as you look through the "last will and testament" provided for you. 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Then he goes on to tell us that all this is designed to bring praise to God as we live out what God provided through Jesus. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, This is another reference to the fact that there is a further reception of the Holy Spirit that takes place after salvation.Warning: Opinion following!!!I believe, by both Scripture and common modern Christian experience, that there is a Baptism of the Spirit that far exceeds the currently seen "Holy Spirit Baptisms" in the church today. Most of the current Holy Spirit Baptisms are completely powerless when compared to that of Jesus, His disciples and even the early Pentecostal pioneers. Many have what John Lake called a "Miss Wick type of baptism", which meant an ability to speak in tongues without the full power of the Spirit being manifested later. I believe that we have settled for a "fast-food mentality" when it comes to "the Baptism". We want to hurry and get past the "filling" part so we can get on with the "party". If more people would truly receive the Baptism with the Spirit, they would no longer be spending hours in "so-called" worship services trying to get the power to fall. They would begin to carry the Spirit with them into all the world as Jesus commanded, rather than doing things He never commanded and expecting something they were never promised. Of course if they ever do that, it might wreck their "revival" services in the church buildings, because people would start doing signs and wonders in the streets.14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. The "sealing of the Spirit" mentioned previously is the down payment of our redemption that we are promised. Again notice that all this is for the purpose of bringing praise to God's glory. 15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,Notice it was the Ephesian saints' love that caught the apostle's attention, not their gifts, or their faith, but their love. 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; Their love was such that it caused the great apostle Paul to pray for them.17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: Paul's prayer for the Ephesians was that they would have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Christ). This was Paul's main prayer, that all the saints would have wisdom and revelation in their knowledge of Christ. This would lead to real growth and advancement in their walk with God. They would finally know Christ in His resurrection power and they would also find out who they are in Christ. Because whatever He has and is we are and can do. (1 John 4:17) 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, When you have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, your understanding will be such that you will know just how far reaching and impacting your calling by Him is. We have yet to see a person consecrated to God and dead to their own plans and ambitions enough to truly and fully allow Jesus to live His life through them. 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, This one verse could be used as a basis of meditation for years. To the degree that we understand this verse, believe it, and walk it out in our lives, the world will see Jesus walk the earth in flesh again. When we finally die enough to take a chance to believe this verse and believe that God can truly work power (such as the world has never before seen demonstrated) through a man, and can sufficiently forget who we were and believe what God says about who we are, we will see a generation of believers that are not afraid to call God their Father, and of whom God is not ashamed to be called their Father. 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, The power that Paul is talking about is the same power, (in the same amount and demonstrated to the same degree) that was demonstrated when God raised Jesus from the dead. The power God used was enough to seal satan's fate, ensure his defeat and publicly humiliate all the forces of darkness with a beating that is still being talked about 2000 years later. There never was and never will be a greater degree of power unleashed. That was the ultimate power possible, and it is the same power used to raise you up, because what He did for Jesus, He was doing for you. That is also the same degree of power that is at our disposal, if we can ever break free of the mental constraints that we have allowed to be imposed upon us. Jesus showed us how to walk in this power to a limited degree. He calmed storms, opened blind eyes, multiplied food, etc. Some may disagree with my use of the term limited, but let me remind you, Jesus Himself said, we would do the same works... and GREATER, because He went to the Father. We can do... because HE...went to the Father. Jesus is seated and has finished His work. And because He finished His work, now we get to do our work, which is to believe on Him whom the Father sent. If we believe, we will do the works. Our work (believing) accomplishes His works (setting things right on earth as they are in Heaven). It is not us doing it, it is the Father in us, He does the works. We just do the work of believing. And if we believe we will act, and if we believe and act, He will do! 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: Jesus has been seated next to His Father and we are in Him. So we are also seated in heavenly places (Eph 2:6). Since that is our legal position, we have the right to act as Ambassadors of God, bringing the ways and conditions of the Kingdom of God to earth. Jesus' authority not only reaches into heaven, but also even into the world that is to come. We see here that Jesus has no match in the kingdom of darkness. He has triumphed over the champion of evil so completely that He is the undisputed Champion of Everything and Everywhere. None of the dark kings have any hope of even resisting Him or you when you go in His Name. But if you try to go in your name (based upon your works, goodness, etc., you will be soundly defeated, because you have left your place of authority and power, and ability. You must know that when you are weak, He can flow through you and win the situation. But if you think you are smart enough or strong enough due to your past victories or even current disciplines, you will not prevail. Stay in Him, keep your life hidden in Christ. Kill your ego, kill your pride, know that you stand because He props you up. His life flowing through you brings strength, and life to stand and prevail. 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Everything has (already done it, past tense) been put under His feet and by extension, (see next verse) your feet. That means that nothing shall by any means harm you, that means that wherever the enemy is standing in front of you, he is standing in your spot. You can and must decide to take the ground he stands on. Your job is to take back the land. Your destiny is to plant the flag of the Kingdom of Heaven on every spot of earth you can find. If the enemy won't move, pin him to the ground with the flag of your King. The King of Kings. 23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. KJV You are the body being talked about here. You are the Body of Christ. There is no building that can be the Church. The church is the Body of Christ. No building made with hands can contain or carry the glory of the Body of the Christ. The church is Christ to the world, and the Christ is in the Church. Today, we make Christ what He is. We make Him victorious to the world or we make Him weak, defeated and wimpy. He has won every battle, He has defeated every enemy. He has so totally defeated His enemies (as far as stripping away all their authority) that He had no one else to beat so He retired undefeated and passed the spoils on to those of us that decide to follow in His footsteps and bring every enemy into true and complete submission to Him.I hope this little study has helped you. If you did not find it boring, let me know and I will do more. Until next month, You ARE BLESSED!!! Curry R. Blake

Diana Blessing

In Dallas, the doctor, walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. She was still groggy from surgery. Her husband, David, held her hand as they braced themselves for the latest news. That afternoon of March 10, 1991, complications had forced Diana, only 24-weeks pregnant, to undergo an emergency Cesarean to deliver the couple's new daughter, Dana Lu Blessing. At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound nine ounces, they already knew she was perilously premature. Still, the doctor's soft words dropped like bombs. "I don't think she's going to make it," he said, as kindly as he could. "There's only a 10-percent chance she will live through thenight, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her future could be a very cruel one "Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor described the devastating problems Dana would likely face if she survived. She would never walk, she would never talk, she would probably be blind, and she would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions from cerebral palsy to complete mental retardation, and on and on. "No! No!" was all Diana could say. She and David, with their 5-year-old son Dustin, had long dreamed of the day they would have a daughter to become a family of four. Now, within a matter of hours, that dream was slipping away. But as those first days passed, a new agony set in for David and Diana. Because Dana's underdeveloped nervous system was essentially 'raw', the lightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort, so they couldn't even cradle their tiny baby girl against their chests to offer the strength of their love. All they could do, as Danastruggled alone beneath the ultraviolet light in the tangle of tubes and wires, was to pray that God would stay close to their precious little girl. There was never a moment when Dana suddenly grew stronger. But as the weeks went by, she did slowly gain an ounce of weight here and an ounce of strength there. At last, when Dana turned two months old, her parents were able to hold her in their arms for the very first time. And two months later, though doctors continued to gently but grimly warn that her chances of surviving, much less living any kind of normal life, were next to zero, Dana went home from the hospital, just as her mother had predicted. Five years later, Dana was a petite but feisty young girl with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life. She showed no signs whatsoever of any mental or physical impairment. Simply, she was everything a little girl can be and more. But that happy ending is far from the end of her story. One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in Irving , Texas , Dana was sitting in her mother's lapin the bleachers of a local ball park where her brother Dustin's baseball team was practicing. As always, Dana was chattering nonstop with her mother and several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent. Hugging her arms across her chest, little Dana asked, "Do you smell that?" Smelling the air and detecting the approach of a thunderstorm, Diana replied, "Yes, it smells like rain."Dana closed her eyes and again asked, "Do you smell that?" Once again, her mother replied,"Yes, I think we're about to get wet. It smells like rain." Still caught in the moment, Dana shook her head, patted her thin shoulders with her small hands and loudly announced, "No, it smells like Him.. It smells like God when you lay your head on His chest." Tears blurred Diana's eyes as Dana happily hopped down toplay with the other children. Before the rains came, her daughter's words confirmed what Diana and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least in their hearts, all along. During those long days and nights of her first two months of her life, when her nerves were too sensitive for them to touch her, God was holding Dana on His chest and it is His loving scent that she remembers so well. You now have 1 of 2 choices. You can either pass this on and let other people catch the chills like you did just now or you can delete this and act like it didn't touch your heart like it did mine. IT'S YOUR CALL! "I can do all things in Him who strengthens me.." This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, He saw me, and He asked: "My child, what is your greatest wish for today?" I responded: "Lord please, take care of the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them very much" The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginning, but not its end. I did not write this This is a wonderful real life healing. God is there for us to be healed. BELIEVE. Rev, Londa Picard

To Kill an American

Written by an Australian Dentist....and too good to delete.... To Kill an American You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is . So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!) 'An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An Ame rican may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan. An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans. An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God. An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness. An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return. When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country! As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan . Americans welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of Am erica, the Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America . Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11 , 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists. So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself . Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American. Who ever the dentist was; he was right on! America has helped so many countries. Because we are a nation who believes in God & we have been blessed. Thank you to the Dentist who wrote this. Rev. Londa Picard

1 John 1:9

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful & just to forgive us our sins & to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Confession: In Psalm 51 we have King David confessing of his sin. As a Christian we can pattern our guilt of sin by freely admitting the sin. This is also vital to us to be honest in our confesson. God will graciously forgive all of our sins. As King David display real sorrow over his sin; we need to display this also. King David asked God to forgive him, we need to ask for forgiveness. As King David did we need to believe that God has heard us & will restore us John tells us the means of forgiveness & the cleansing is in the Blood Of Jesus Christ our LORD. As the method of forgiveness & cleansing is the confession of the Christian. As Brother Andrew Murray said in his book "The Power of the Blood of Christ"; "God's Word comes to us with the promise of blessing that ought to awaken all our desires. Believe that the blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin. If you learn how to yield yourself correctly to its operation, it can do great things in you." Put God to the test on working things out in you. His promise is cleansing from all unrighteousness. Also from the same book of Andrew Murray he said "My friend, my possessions, my spirit must all be surrendered so that I may be cleansed in each relationship by the precious blood & so that all the activities of my spirit, soul, & being may experience a thorough cleansing" 1 John 1:7B the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. Not some but ALL! There is power in the blood!! Believe in the power of the blood. It's life. Not death. God will not see our sin but the Blood of Jesus! Romans 3:22-26

22) even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all & on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23) for all have sinned & fallen short of the glory of God. 24) being justified freely by His grace through the redempton that is in Christ Jesus, 25) whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate. His righteousness, because in His forbearance God passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26) to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just & the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus It's in our nature to fall short of God. That Jesus's blood redempted us from this sin. God wanted us to see His righteousness. Praise God that He did send Jesus that His blood is seen by God & not our sins. Just have faith in Jesus. We have an acquittal from God. This acquittal is so complete that there is absolutely nothing that will prevent christians from approaching God with the utmost freedom!! Jesus blood alone has done everything. Rev. Londa Picard

Be careful out there

Be Careful Out There: IDIOT SIGHTING: We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, 'NO, it's not.' Four is larger than two..' We haven't used Sears repair since. IDIOT SIGHTING: My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter. She said, 'you gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back.' She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said 'We're sorry but they could not do that kind of thing.' The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change.. Do not confuse the clerks at McD's. IDIOT SIGHTING : I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our ro ad. The reason: 'Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don't think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.' From Kingman , KS . IDIOT SIGHTING IN FOOD SERVICE : My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco. She asked the person behind the counter for 'minimal lettuce.' He said he was sorry, but they only had ice burg lettuce. From Kansas City IDIOT SIGHTING: I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, 'Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?' To which I replied, 'If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?' He smiled knowingly and nodded, 'That's why we ask..' Happened in Birmingham , Ala. IDIOT SIGHTING : The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, 'What on earth are blind people doing driving?!' She was a probation officer in Wichita , KS IDIOT SIGHTING : At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker. She was leaving the company due to 'downsizing.' Our manager commented cheerfully, 'This is fun. We should do this more often.' Not another word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare. This was a lunch at Texas Instruments. IDIOT SIGHTING : I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the sake of her life, couldn't understand why her system would not turn on. A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriffs office, no less. IDIOT SIGHTING When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'its open!' His reply, 'I know. I already got that side.' This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, MS STAY ALERT! They walk among us... and the scary part is that they VOTE and they REPRODUCE

Secrets of Prayer

Secrets of Prayer Acts One of the first things I can think about is, the knowledge of knowing where you stand with God & His Word (the bible). Is the bible wrong? No, it is not. So, we find out where the verses that He has promised us. It will be more then one verse & do not take it out of text. If the Word of God doesn't agree with what you're asking; then you are asking amiss. The Bible will have the answer in more then one spot. In fact you will find the answer in several different places of the bible. Do not take the written Word of God out of text, other wise you've missed it. James 4:3 You ask & do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear me; Job 27:8A For what is the hope of the hypocrite (Finish reading the rest of this chapter). The second thing to do is ask God. You have His Word, you have His promises for us. You are asking with a pure heart in earnest. You are not asking as a hypocrite would ask. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For thy shall see God. AMEN = So Be It Rev. Londa Picard

I Am the LORD that Healeth

I am the Lord That Healeth James 5:14 &15 14) Is any sick among you? let him call for the Elders of the Church, & let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord; 15) And the prayer of Faith shall save the sick, & the Lord shall raise him up: & if he have committed sins they shall be forgiven him. We're being told very simply by God, that whom-ever is sick, go to the Elders of the church & have them anoint you with oil & to pray over you, while you confess your sins & you shall be forgiven. Doing all of this in the Name of the Lord! You have done what you been told to do. The Elders has done what they're suppose to do. Now it is in God's Hands. Now you can rest in the assurance of the Lord to raise you up. It's the promise of God's Word! You have to believe God's truth (which is His Word). As James tells us in: James 5:19 & 20 19) Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, & some turns him back, 20) let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death & cover a multitude of sins. Now, if you turn away from any part of God's truth, then you are leaving an opening for the enemy to come in. God's Word is the truth! It doesn't changed! Matthew 18:19 Again I say to you that if two of you on earth concerning anything that they ask,it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. It isn't just in one place of the bible about healing, it's written all over the Bible! Now that you have asked the Elders, that will make two people who believe & are in agreement. Matthew 18:19 says two; both say ask in the Name of the Lord. Are you going to believe man or God's Word? God's Word is the truth, not man. John 8:32 "And you shall know the truth, & the truth shall make you free," John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father Except through Me. Now that you know what is the truth. And you know God wants you free from sickness, bondage, sin, satan, self, anything that is holding you back from God & His Blessing. If you do not believe me, believe the word of God. It's there in your Bible. On this matter of healing, deliverance, it just isn't once in the Bible it's through pout the Word of God. So, I am not taking one verse. A couple of verses out of the several. Old & New Testament And the Bible doesn't say it was only for the early church. Remember God never changes. Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Matthew 7:7 Ask, & it shall be given you; seek, & you shall find; knock, & it shall be open unto you Remember, this is not a give me, give me license. The Bible doesn't say you'll be rich.It does say God will meet your needs. It does say Gods will is for you to be healed. To repent, to turn away from your sins. To believe, to ask, to seek Him. The Bible is just as much for today as it was for the early church. It's Gods covenant!!! Not mine but, HIS. The early church even used handkerchiefs or aprons. Look at : Acts 19:11 & 12 11) And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12) So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, & the diseases departed from them, & the evil spirits went out of them. Smith Wigglesworth used the handkerchiefs for people with addictions; as he (Smith Wigglesworth) would say drunkards. Had the mans wife put it under his pillow, in the pillowcase. The story goes that the man went to several pubs & he told all the bartenders that they were poisoning him. Yes, the man turned to the Lord. The Lord has power to set captive people free! Smith Wigglesworth tells of many adults & children being healed by the touching of the handkerchiefs. The handkerchiefs had been prayed over like Paul did. Always remember: 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, & have overcome them; BECAUSE GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, then he that is in the world. Matthew 8:17 That is might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the Prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, & bare our sicknesses. In the name of Jesus Christ! Amen & Amen = so be it. Rev. Three crosses

You have to look at the crucifixion; you are seeing three men dying. JESUS was dying as an offering "for the LORD". Thief died rejecting the Christ & went to Hell. The other Thief changed while he was on the cross & his sins became as white as snow.
