IRVING TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Each day before the school bus comes to pick up the neighborhood's children, Lisa Snyder did a favor for three of her fellow moms, welcoming their children into her home for about an hour before they left for school.

Regulators who oversee child care, however, don't see it as charity. Days after the start of the new school year, Snyder received a letter from the Michigan Department of Human Services warning her that if she continued, she'd be violating a law aimed at the operators of unlicensed day care centers.

"I was freaked out. I was blown away," she said. "I got on the phone immediately, called my husband, then I called all the girls" — that is, the mothers whose kids she watches — "every one of them."

Snyder's predicament has led to a debate in Michigan about whether a law that says no one may care for unrelated children in their home for more than four weeks each calendar year unless they are licensed day-care providers needs to be changed. It also has irked parents who say they depend on such friendly offers to help them balance work and family.

On Tuesday, agency Director Ismael Ahmed said good neighbors should be allowed to help each other ensure their children are safe. Gov. Jennifer Granholm instructed Ahmed to work with the state Legislature to change the law, he said.

"Being a good neighbor means helping your neighbors who are in need," Ahmed said in a written statement. "This could be as simple as providing a cup of sugar, monitoring their house while they're on vacation or making sure their children are safe while they wait for the school bus."

Snyder learned that the agency was responding to a neighbor's complaint.

Granholm spokeswoman Liz Boyd said the agency was following standard procedure in its response. "But we feel this (law) really gets in the way of common sense," Boyd said.

"We want to protect kids, but the law needs to be reasonable," she said. "When the governor learned of this, she acted quickly and called the director personally to ask him to intervene."

State Rep. Brian Calley, R-Portland, said he was working to draft legislation that would exempt situations like Snyder's from coverage under Michigan's current day care regulations.

The bill will make it clear that people who aren't in business as day care providers don't need to be licensed, Calley said.

"These are just kids that wait for the bus every morning," he said. "This is not a day care."

Snyder, 35, lives in a rural subdivision in Barry County's Irving Township about 25 miles southeast of Grand Rapids. Her tidy, comfortable three-bedroom home is a designated school bus stop. The three neighbor children she watched — plus Snyder's first-grader, Grace — attend school about six miles away in Middleville.

Snyder said she started watching the other children this school year to help her friends; they often baby-sit for each other during evenings and weekends.

After receiving the state agency's letter, she said she called the agency and tried to explain that she wasn't running a day care center or accepting money from her friends.

Under state law, no one may care for unrelated children in their home for more than four weeks each calendar year unless they are licensed day-care providers. Snyder said she stopped watching the other children immediately after receiving the letter, which was well within the four-week period.

"I've lived in this community for 35 years and everyone I know has done some form of this," said Francie Brummel, 42, who would drop off her second-grade son, Colson, before heading to her job as deputy treasurer of the nearby city of Hastings.

Other moms say they regularly deal with similar situations.

Amy Cowan, 34, of Grosse Pointe Farms, a Detroit suburb, said she often takes turns with her sister, neighbor and friend watching each other's children.

"The worst part of this whole thing, with the state of the economy ... two parents have to work," said Cowan, a corporate sales representative with a 5-year-old son and 11-month-old daughter. "When you throw in the fact that the state is getting involved, it gives women a hard time for going back to work.

"I applaud the lady who takes in her neighbors' kids while they're waiting for the bus. She's enabling her peers to go to work and get a paycheck. The state should be thankful for that."

Amy Maciaszek, 42, of McHenry, Ill., who works in direct sales, said she believes the state agency was "trying to be overprotective."

"I think it does take a village and that's the best way," said Maciaszek, who has a 6-year-old boy and twin 3-year-old daughters. "Unfortunately you do have to be careful about that. These mothers are trying to do the right thing."

As Christ as our Priest He is our righteousness which He has restore us to the correct relationship with God. Sealing us into His favor & son-ship.

Christ as our king, He sanctified & form us it into the obedience to the our Father's holy will.

Christ showed us how to live here on earth, He taught by word & example, by the way He lived,& in His death. Showing us that we now can be reconcile us with God.

Christ was & is a victorious King, whom He has received His Crown from riseing again . Christ is now setting on the right hand of Gods throne .

Tomorrow is an important day in health care reform for pro-life America. The U.S. Senate Finance Committee will continue mark up of Sen. Baucus’s health care bill. Currently, Sen. Baucus’s bill allows qualified health plans to provide coverage for all abortions and mandates that at least one plan in each state exchange provide coverage of all abortions. Thankfully, we have another chance to protect and defend life in health care reform.

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) has filed several amendments that would prevent government funding for abortion and would protect current conscience laws for health workers.

Here are the pro-life amendments being considered for a vote tomorrow (for a more detailed explanation, please go to the AUL blog):

Concerning the recent murder of Yale student Annie Lee and the accompanying headline; Police May Never Know Motive... 18 Sep. 09 Just like the daylight abduction , sexual assault and murder of Kelsey Smith. That headline also read " We May Never Know Motive" 17 Sep 08.

The prosecuting attorney for the Kelsey Smith case was asked about the presence of sexualized materials during the investigation. He replied that he is "certain porn is present and not uncommon in these kinds cases but there are not considered as a contributing factor." With your help this denial of the reality we face is about to change in Kansas.

In the next Kansas legislative session Senator Mary Pilcher-Cook has agreed to introduce a bill that will require reporting of pornographic materials during investigations of sex crimes. Not unlike the decades of denying the link between cigarettes and disease, we will begin to measure and quantify the link of porn and crime. To date no State has a requirement to report and link porn to sex crimes but God willing that is about to change in Kansas.

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAYI

In Florida, an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover

holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against

Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days.

The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate

presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring,"Case

dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor,

how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas,

Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my

client and all other atheists have no such holidays."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client,

counsel, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance

or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day.

Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.'

Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no

God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned.

You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

Transparency Needed in Health Care Debate
I heard from many Kansans last month during my “Congress to Kansas” listening tour about their concerns with the current health care debate in Washington. While not every person agreed on all the issues, the vast majority of Kansans wanted more transparency in the health care debate in Washington. This Congress has developed a bad habit of changing legislation at the last minute and introducing 300-page amendments in the middle of the night and that is unacceptable. Kansans deserve a fully transparent and open debate not only on health care, but every other piece of legislation, large or small.

There are currently three versions of the Democrat’s bill in the House, and there are two bills being considered in the Senate. Before the House votes on any health care bill, I believe it is imperative we all have a chance to figure out what is in the bill. I was very disappointed to learn this week that during a hearing on Senator Baucus’ bill in the Senate, the committee failed to pass an amendment requiring the final legislation be posted online for 72-hours before the committee holds any votes.

The backroom deal-making needs to stop. Congress can and must do better. We had only a few hours to read the so-called stimulus; we only had a few to read the cap and trade bill; and we definitely need time to read the final health care bill before we vote. This week I was proud to sign on as a sponsor of a resolution in the House that would require legislation to be posted online 72 hours before any votes. I don’t think it’s too much to give Members of Congress and the American people three days to review legislation that will affect each one of us for years to come.

Supporting Legislation to Audit the Federal Reserve
As a CPA, a former State Treasurer, and as a member of the House Financial Services, I am committed to restoring stability to our financial markets and ensuring another meltdown like the one that happened last fall does not happen again.

As we work in committee to reform the financial industry, I believe there needs to be greater transparency to our monetary policy so all citizens can see where their tax dollars are being spent. That is why I have signed on as a cosponsor of H.R. 1207 to allow the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to audit all aspects of the Federal Reserve and to open Fed operations to enhanced scrutiny. Today I attended the committee hearing and spoke in favor of this legislation.

Over the past year, the Federal Reserve has responded to the economic crisis by injecting more than one trillion taxpayer dollars into the economy, but there has been very little light shed into where that money went. Every day, Americans are responsible for accounting for every penny they come in contact with, and I believe it is important for the Federal Reserve to be accountable as well. The Fed has an important duty to make economic decisions, but there must be accountability.

One Step Closer to Securing Buyout for Treece
Helping Treece’s residents secure a federal buyout has been a priority of mine since my first day in Congress. This week we got one step closer to securing a buyout when the Senate approved an amendment to provide the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the authority to buyout Treece. The amendment was introduced by Kansas Senators Pat Roberts and Sam Brownback and Senator James Inhofe from Oklahoma.

A century of mining left behind dangerous living conditions and I’m glad we are closer to our goal of securing a buyout to protect and improve the lives of the residents of Treece. Until the buyout becomes a reality, I will continue working with Senators Roberts, Brownback and Inhofe as well as the EPA and the folks in Treece to make sure it is successful.

Kansas Visitors in Washington
It was a pleasure to meet with Kansas State Representative Peggy Mast and Lisa Ritchie while they were in town. Carl Krehbiel, Brian Boisvert, and other members of the Kansas Telecommunications Industry Association stopped by to discuss broadband access especially in rural areas of Kansas. Woody Moses, Wendy Harms, Steve Sloan, and Randy Hattesohl stopped by from the Kansas Aggregate Producers’ and Kansas Ready Mixed Concrete Association to discuss issues pertaining to miners’ safety and transportation.

It was great to see Ed McKechnie of Watco Companies to discuss transportation improvements that are vital to Southeast Kansas. I also had an informative meeting with KNEA President Blake West and educators Mark Farr of Nickerson and Verlean Brown of Wichita to discuss No Child Left Behind and other education policy important to Kansas.

When we are born of God, we have this nature. But, we still have ways of our old nature. So, we have two natures; the old & the new. The new is God's nature (Spirit) in us. And yes, the old nature is the enemy internal!!

Paul also had to fight to keep his old nature (old or first Adam) crucified. If he did not crucified the old nature; it would gain advantage & he would be right back in bondage. And we have to do the same thing. Do not let satan & others think you do not have the Adam's old nature. You subdue it but you always have to very watchful, stay in the Word, & stay in prayer! Other wise you will be back into SIN.
The word I is the center of S - I - N. So your enemy internal is yourself. The most problems I have is with me, myself, & I or Londa Picard. I have to keep myself right before God, not right before myself or before man; but before GOD! How many of you have problems with yourself. There is not a one who doesn't. Other wise you you are fooling yourself.
Another thing if you have problems with other people all the time you need to look inside of yourself. Are you doing something wrong? You can only change yourself but you can not change others.
Things of the old Adam Nature is tempers, appetite (food, drugs, & drink), covetousness, jealous or envious, lust, pride, & many more. These are all internal enemies, that we have.
Temper as a example:
You can use temper for good (Jesus with the money tables) but, losing your temper in other way will actually rob you of your power & yes, it will make you weak.
You need to get it under control. So, you need to treat it as a SIN & then confess that. If you gotten angry with any body, go to them & ask for forgiveness! If you keep doing it, keep asking for forgiveness. It may take once or a few times but, keep doing it. You will get out of the habit as it will make the old Adam nature (flesh) burn.

We all need the overcoming life, to have VICTORY.

Do not cover your sin up, confess it to God & get rid of it. You will have have power & become like Paul a conquer a overcomer. You do have to get & be right with God!! You that & become sound in your faith.

Titus 2:2 - 3

Sometimes, in the face of our ongoing work to prevent pro-abortion legislation from gaining a foothold in Congress, it is easy to forget how much progress we’ve made. I understand that the cost of health care is simply unbearable for many Kansas families. President Obama has made health care reform one of his top priorities this year. As a member of the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, which share jurisdiction over health care reform, I am grateful to be able to participate in this complex and difficult effort to reform our health care system into one that guarantees meaningful access for all Americans. To that end, I appreciate your advice on this important topic.



Recently, the HELP Committee passed a costly and partisan health care reform proposal that leaves 34 million Americans uninsured and costs taxpayers $2 trillion, while expanding government programs. I voted against this proposal. The latest version of the bill, the Affordable Health Choices Act (S. 1679), can be found at: http://www.congress.gov/.



This proposed bill restricts the health benefits Americans currently have and denies access to doctors and treatments. Kansans would pay for this reform with tax increases. These higher taxes would harm our small businesses that create 70 percent of our jobs. We should not raise taxes on job creators, especially in this challenging economy. This massive government expansion would also be paid for on the backs of our seniors via cuts to Medicare.



I will continue to call attention to what lurks beneath this banner of 'reform.' I agree that all Americans should have access to affordable and quality health care, but we must take this health care reform process cautiously and seriously. This effort is too important to be done hastily. I am committed to ensuring that whatever reforms are enacted preserve patient access and choice. I oppose a move towards one-size-fits-all medicine and a government takeover of our health care system.

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... And YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A couple of weeks ago a
friend told me that someone she
knew

had their car broken
into while they were at a football game. Their
car was parked
on the green which was adjacent to the football
stadium and specially allotted to
football fans. Things stolen from the car
included a garage door remote
control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently
mounted on the
dashboard.

When the victims got
home, they found that their house had been ransacked
and just about everything worth anything had
been stolen. The thieves had used the
GPS to guide them to the house. They then used
the garage remote control to open the garage
door and gain entry to the house. The
thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they
knew what time the game was scheduled to finish
and so they knew how much time they
had to clean out the house. It would appear that they had
brought a truck to empty the house of its
contents.
Something
to consider if you have a GPS - don't put your
home address
in it. Put a nearby address (like a store or gas
station) so you can
still find your way home if you need to, but no
one else would know where
you live if your GPS were
stolen.

I never thought of
this.......
This lady has now
changed her habit of how she lists her names on her
mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her
handbag, which contained her cell
phone, credit card, wallet... Etc...was
stolen. 20 minutes later when
she called her hubby, from a pay
phone telling him what had
happened, hubby says
'I received your
text asking about our Pin number and
I've replied a little while
ago.' When they rushed down to
the bank, the bank staff told them all the money
was already withdrawn. The
thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text
'hubby' in the contact list and got hold of the
pin number. Within 20
minutes he had withdrawn all the money from
their bank account.




Moral
of the
lesson:




Do not
disclose the relationship between you and the
people in your contact list. Avoid using names like
Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mom,
etc....And very importantly,
when sensitive info is being asked through
texts, CONFIRM by calling
back.




Also, when you're being
text by friends or family to meet
them some where,
be sure to call back to confirm that the message
came from them. If you don't reach
them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and
friends' who text
you.

Testing the Spirits

Even believers can yield to the wrong spirits. Peter once rebuked Christ, telling him that he would not suffer and Jesus said; Get the behind me satan. Peter wasn't satan but he was speaking contrary to Gods will.

Matthew 16:23
But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, satan! You are an offense to Me for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

Ananias & Sapphire were told that satan had filled their hearts to lie to the Holy Spirit.

3) But Peter said, Ananias, why has satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
9) Then Peter said to her, How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord?

Our spirit is born again, but, our minds need continually to be renewed. Our carnal mind could yield to the fiery darts of satan and if we do not renew our minds we may play into the adversary hands. And not even know it.

Ephesians 4:23
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

Evil spirits can motivate our carnal mind of certain people to slander & criticize ministries. Those who do not investigate the facts will accept the rumors as truth. So, investigate a rumor, do not pass it on to others. Know and learn the truth yourself. Go to the person and ask. Still don't pass on a rumor. You hear about other ministers doing this and doing that, you must know the truth about it. Just don't take somebody word on it. God doesn't want his people or church to have conflicts like this. It is an attack of God's people.

Churches have been attack from the spirits sent by the adversary satan. People will just think it's a battle with the board members, or the carnal church members, or even the pastor. Because hindering spirits are usually invisible and therefore not very easy to detected.
Hindering spirits are crafty or sly in their approach.
Satan doesn't want people to know that he is at work in churches especially their own church.

Even satanist can and tries to put curses on churches. You need to know what or who is out there attacking Gods Churches. People may or may not even know what is going on themselves. If it's conflict, rumors and so on and so on you need to know it's not God it's satan attacking.
So,

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

So we need to test the spirits and so when you see your church in trouble over things. Find the truth, Pray, and Pray that people will have their eyes open to the truth. Seek God for answers.

Hi to all my friends and family,
I felt compelled to spread this story about son's best friend, Sam who is 8 (on the left in the photo above). He is in MAJOR need of Prayer. The following story is what his mother Cindy (we are in MOPS together) wrote today.

Background Story
Our son Sam is a wonderful young man who is 8 years old. He will be 9 in January. He is going into the 3rd grade in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Sam had been having some pain in his right knee most of this summer (2009). As the pain increased we realized that something might be wrong and we made an appointment for him to see an Orthopedist on 8/10/09. At this doctors appointment an X-ray was done of Sam's leg/knee and it showed that there was a mass that the doctor believed to be cancerous. Samuel went into the hospital just a few days later for a series of tests. He received a cat scan, MRI, and also a full body scan. Our family met with the pediatric oncologist the following day and Samuel was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Osteosarcoma (stage 4). The cancer is in his right knee and it has also spread to both of his lungs. This is an agressive type of cancer and it will be treated with agressive forms of chemo. We are asking everyone to please lift up our litle boy Samuel Gordon Bish in prayer. We pray for healing!! We serve a mighty God and we know that HE can heal Sam if that is his will for Sam's life. Please be prayer warriors along with our family as Sam starts this very difficult journey in his young life.

Today's date is August 16th, 2009 and all this has happened in 6 days. His first appointment was on Monday the 10th and by Friday the 14th he was in the hospital getting his Chemo-port put in his chest and a biopsy done.

I figured if an animated woman walking around the world for cancer can get passed to millions, then so can this story.

Be a Part of the Defensive Line for Life!

Dear Friend,

I wanted to thank you for the many wonderful notes and messages about my meeting at the White House yesterday. I so appreciate your support and encouragement! Thursday afternoon, I did have the opportunity to meet with senior White House officials, including President Obama’s Domestic Policy Advisor, to discuss our concerns about the abortion mandate in health care reform.

In the discussion we focused on our key message: Real health care respects life . . . and the American people do not want to subsidize abortion as part of health care. AUL Staff Counsel Mary Harned joined me and we also delivered our petition of close to 40,000 petition signatures protesting the abortion mandate in the health care proposals. Thank you to each one of you who took the time to sign this petition!

Our discussion concentrated on how the abortion mandate works. Our legal team developed a simple chart for the meeting entitled “Understand the Abortion Mandate” that I think is just terrific - take a look at it here and share it with a friend. In the days ahead, as this political battle heats up, the pro-life movement has to stay informed and motivated.

The bottom line is this: we have to have a specific statutory amendment that includes an explicit ban on federal funding and coverage or we will be forced to subsidize abortion through health care reform.

These days I’m spending a lot of time on the weekends watching my son John play football and seeing the play unfold on the field makes me think of what I’m seeing on the political field: the abortion lobby is trying to run a trick play, with a little razzle-dazzle thrown in, to maneuver around the Hyde Amendment which has blocked abortion funding in the past.

We need a tough Defensive Line for Life! In the next few weeks to months, this battle is only going to get bigger and tougher. We need you to stay with us as we work to ensure that life is protected in health care reform. We will not give up and we will continue to fight vigorously any legislation that does not protect and defend the sanctity of life. "Someone may steal from it at night." So they
created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job.

Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies.

Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Quality Control department and hired two
people. One to do the studies and one to write the reports.

Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So They created the following positions,
a time keeper, and a payroll officer,Then hired two people.

Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?" So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative
Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary.

Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for oneYear and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost.."

So they laid off the night watchman.

NOW slowly.

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report," I'm beginning to feel like I'm living in Russia at the turn of the 20th century. Everywhere I look I see a 'czar!' President Obama has appointed almost 35 of them. Most of them are not confirmed by the Senate. Many of them answer only to the President. And all of them have the opportunity to wield vast power and influence over their vague areas of responsibility.

Even more frightening than the simple existence of this layer of 'unaccountable' authority is the fact that many of these people who have the President's ear are products of the radical 60's and 70's. And some of them have brought their radical ideas with them. In fact, some of these 'czars' possess the most radical philosophies ever promoted by members of our government!

Jesus predicted that in the last days, deception would be rampant. Sounds like he was talking about today, doesn't it? During the Presidential campaign last year, Hollywood mogul David Geffen abandoned his good friends Hillary and Bill Clinton to support Barack Obama. When asked why, he said, "Everybody lies, but the Clintons do it with such ease, it's troubling." The media gloated over the fact this major player was supporting their favorite candidate. In the hubbub that followed, though, they totally missed the impact of his statement: "Everybody lies." Many would say that Hollywood accusing Washington of lying is like the pot calling the kettle black, but the point is that even the liberals admit that deception is rampant in the world today, just as Jesus predicted.

Do you have a favorite TV news channel? Do you watch it because its 'take' on the news is similar to yours? Don't worry, you're not alone. In today's TV news landscape, it seems that every news channel has its particular 'slant.' MSNBC leans left -- way left -- and FOX News leans right. All the other cable and broadcast network outlets fall in between (mostly to the left). So most viewers choose their TV news source because they feel comfortable with its 'slant' -- and they don't trust the ones with the opposite bias.

Interestingly, though, the news sources that lean left (which is most of them) are hemorrhaging viewers and revenue. In fact, FOX News now attracts more viewers than all the other cable news channels combined. And as many people watch an episode of "Dancing With the Stars" as watch the news broadcasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC combined.

Now, wouldn't you think the management of those networks would say, "Hey, we're not going to stay in business long if we keep losing viewers. Maybe we need to be a little less radically left and move our coverage back to the center, at least." But no one is saying that. In fact, they're drifting further to the left. This seems to defy even common business sense. They'd rather hang on to their liberal agenda than soften their slant so they can attract viewers and revenue. The Bible says that in the last days, men would not even be able to think in their own best interest. If you have stock in any of those companies, just beware that the management is not thinking in your best interest. Just as the Bible predicted.

As things heat up in the push to ram Obamacare through the Congress, it's interesting to note that as the opinion polls show more and more people oppose the plan, the rhetoric from the Administration grows more and more hostile toward the opposition. It's now "us" versus "them." And the leadership's description of "them" is growing more sinister with each passing day.

Finally, I'll take a few moments to discuss what the Bible says about the spirit of deception that will almost overtake us in the days just before the Rapture of the believers. Folks, we are living what Jesus, Peter, and Paul predicted for these times. Make certain you're ready to go!

The amount of your monthly check will depend on when you retire, how much you and your spouse earned, and whether you work in retirement. QUESTION 1: Can I count on Social Security to be there?

You can. Despite what you may hear about the system going broke, the funds from workers' payroll taxes will cover all retirees' payments until 2016 even if no changes are made to the current program. After that the Social Security Administration can cover full benefits until 2037 by cashing in its Treasury bonds from the Social Security trust fund. And when the bonds run out, income from payroll taxes would be enough to cover about 75% of payments for decades.

That said, the government is looking at ways to shore up the system. President Obama has talked about imposing Social Security payroll taxes on income over $200,000 (currently, earnings over $106,800 are exempt). Other possible fixes: upping payroll taxes, raising the retirement age, and scaling back payments in some way.

The good news for anyone in or near retirement: "People 55 and over are likely to see no change or just a marginal change in benefits," says actuary Bruce Schobel, who worked on the commission headed by Alan Greenspan nearly 30 years ago that fixed the system (at least until now). But even younger workers can rest assured that drastic cuts are unlikely.

QUESTION 2: How much will I get every month?

Like all things Social Security, there's a complex formula involved. But essentially, the amount you'll get at your full retirement age is based on your average lifetime earnings, adjusted for rising wage levels over the years. Depending on when you were born, your full retirement age varies between 65 and 67. Grab your payments earlier than your full retirement age, and they'll be reduced: Wait, and you'll get more.

Spouses can also qualify for up to 50% of their husband or wife's full retirement age payment; if that amount is larger than what you would get based on your own earnings, you'll get the higher figure. Similarly, if your spouse dies, you would receive a survivor's benefit of up to 100% of what your deceased spouse was collecting, if that amount is higher than your own payment. Divorced? You may still be eligible for spouse and survivor benefits as well.

Your checks are also automatically adjusted for inflation each January. Payments increased by 5.8% for 2009. But given the near-term inflation outlook, the Congressional Budget Office estimates there may not be a cost of living increase for the next few years.

QUESTION 3: At what age should I begin collecting?

The majority of people take Social Security before full retirement age. But it often pays to wait. Just in terms of benefits accrued, if you have an average life expectancy or better, you'd probably come out ahead waiting for a larger payment that you won't collect as long. More important, you'll have a bigger check at an age when your retirement savings are diminished and you aren't likely to be able to work to supplement your income.

The math gets more complicated for married couples, however, since in addition to what they get from their own earnings, one of them may also qualify for spousal benefits and eventually collect payments as a surviving spouse. So married couples should aim to max out their benefits over both their lifetimes.

Generally, the best strategy is for the higher-earning spouse to delay taking Social Security for as long as possible. That's because survivor benefits are based on the larger of the couple's checks. The lower-earner, meanwhile, should usually claim benefits earlier. That will often, though not always, provide the greatest amount of income as well as security in old age.

QUESTION 4: Will I lose benefits if I work?

It's true that if you collect early and work at the same time, your payments may be reduced (once you reach full retirement age, feel free to toil away; your golf game might suffer, but there's no effect on your Social Security). Your checks will be reduced by $1 for every $2 you earn over an annual limit, currently $14,160 (the hit is considerably less during the calendar year you hit full retirement age).

But despite what you often read or hear, you don't actually "lose" that money. At full retirement age Social Security will begin compensating you with a larger check for the benefits that were withheld. And you'll receive that higher payment for the rest of your life. If you are reasonably long-lived, you'll wind up collecting more -- and you'll have extra income from your additional years as a wage slave.

Working in retirement can also up your payments in other ways. Your check is based on your 35 highest years of wages. If you work fewer during your career, your benefit will be adjusted to reflect any extra years of work. Even if you clocked all 35 years pre-retirement, you could still get a bump if your annual earnings during your golden years were higher than some years earlier in your career.

QUESTION 5: Will my benefits be taxed?

You thought Uncle Sam would cut you a break after retirement? Fat chance. Currently, about a third of Social Security recipients pay income tax on a portion of their benefits, and the Social Security Administration projects upwards of 42% of recipients will be doing so by 2018.

To see whether you'll owe taxes and, if so, to estimate what the bill might be, use our simplified worksheet ("Add up the tax bill," above, right) or fill out the extremely detailed one in IRS Publication 915: Social Security and Equivalent Railroad Retirement Benefits, available at irs.gov.

If you want to lessen the tax bite, there are a couple of options. One is to wait at least until full retirement age to claim Social Security, if you think that income from a post-retirement job could result in a big tax bill.

Another way to avoid taxes is to pull money from a Roth IRA instead of a traditional IRA or 401(k). That's because Roth withdrawals don't count as income in figuring whether your benefits are taxable. So if you don't already have money in a Roth, you may want to fund one or convert some of your traditional IRA to a Roth. After all, in retirement, you're likely to need all the cash you can get.

Prayer If It Be Thy Will

Prayer

After finishing praying; one of the disciples ask Jesus to teach
them how to pray. As John had taught his disciples. So Jesus taught them how to pray. And we all know this prayer.
The Lords Prayer:
Luke 11:2-4

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done.
On earth as it is in heaven,
(3)Give us this day by day our daily bread.
(4)And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver
us from the evil one.

We shouldn't just learn a prayer, but learn how to pray the prayer of FAITH.

James 5:15
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise
him up, And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

When we accept Jesus as our personal savior, we believe which is faith that we are forgiven our sins. So, should we believe the second
part of that verse. And not the first part of that verse? No, we should believe All of that verse.
That is what the prayer of Faith is.
As the Prayer of Faith has trust in it.
It has Power in it.
It has healing in it
Is believing what you read in the Word of God even if you don't feel it or see it. Just believe. Or does your mind not see that it says; His Will

Another way Jesus taught us was to pray is
Matthew 6:9-13
(9)In this manner therefore, pray:
Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name
(10)Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven
(11)Give us this day our daily bread.
(12)And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

And here we are again do we believe the word of God or that is not for me to pray that prayer of Faith. Jesus is telling us how to pray. An outline that is easy for you to follow. They have Jesus speaking to God as they would talk to other at that time. You pray as though you were talking to others here.
So you would address Him:
Our Father In Heaven or Abbe Father or just Father.
And give Him praise.
And in both prayers it says "YOUR WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in Heaven".
So He has told you already what His Will is on the earth & in Heaven
So what does it say His Will, not maybe, not if. It says WHAT?
It covers our needs our daily bread, that is talking about spiritual feeding as well as fleshly eating.
To ask for forgiveness, To Forgive others as He forgave you. So, your prayers will not be hinder.
To HELP us to stay out of SIN, and for Him to save us from satan,
To see us not in sin so once again our prayers will not be hinder.

So, ask God and then let Him stop the calamity that is coming. Let the power of God do it and let it turn aside through faith in God. Look heavenward and what do you see the Lamb of God. Do you see a drunk, smokers or druggies? People who are sick, blind, deaf or a disable person, do you see crime? Hoes? Sin? Murders? Abuse of the children? On and on. Now you don't see any of these in Heaven. That is one of the reason you know it's wrong are the things in Heaven and you never will!!! Where you do the Will of God just like it is in heaven & earth you will not have any of the above As, Gods will doesn't allow evil.

So, when you pray you know Gods Will. And pray that Prayer of FAITH & Power with conference

You may have heard that this past weekend, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week” that President Obama has explicitly ruled out abortion out of whatever health care bill he signs:

STEPHANOPOULOS: “So you are saying that he will go beyond what we have seen in the House and explicitly rule out any public funding for abortion?”
SEBELIUS: “Well that’s exactly what the President said and that’s what he intends that the bill he signs will do.”

Well, you know how they say, “Show me the money”? When I hear a statement like that from Sebelius who as governor of Kansas received hundreds of thousands in donations from the abortion lobby I say, “Show me how you’re blocking the money.” Because the truth is that, although President Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have all claimed that the health care proposals do not cover abortion, that is simply not accurate. Unless abortion funding is explicitly excluded from the health care bill, the courts will mandate coverage. This is clear to anyone who has studied the history of government-funded health care, and it’s misleading to play a linguistics game with the pro-life community by claiming abortion is not in the bills when they fully understand that it is.

AULA Heads to the White House Tomorrow

It’s not enough for President Obama to claim he won’t sign a bill that directs taxpayers’ money towards abortion, there has to be an explicit exclusion of abortion in the final bill. . . and we have the opportunity to discuss the issue with his domestic policy team directly. This Thursday, September 17, I am meeting at the White House with Melody Barnes, President Obama’s Domestic Policy Advisor, and Tina Tchen, who directs the White House Council on Women and Girls.

Our message will be very simple: Real health care respects life . . . and the American people do not want to subsidize abortion as part of health care.

The White House invited us to the meeting after we sent an open letter to President Obama about health care reform and our concerns about the anti-life elements currently included. The letter outlines the issues we plan to raise: the current health care reform bills’ mandating government funding of abortion, their insufficient provisions for conscience protection, and the risk the bills carry of denial of care for the elderly.

The meeting also gives us the opportunity to take the “Keep Abortion Out of Health Care” petition directly to the White House!

(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves So, many years ago=20 they voted in their own benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congress person has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.
Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments. .....

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7, 800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000..00 during the last years of their lives.
This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00< /B>. ZIP!! NADA!!! ZILCH!!!

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK"!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer ), We can expect to get an average of
$1,000 per month after retirement. < /B>

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. . Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us

Then sit back.....

And see how fast they would fix it!

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand. It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other. The greedy think only of themselves.' When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you. Words such as UNBELIEVABLE, UNREAL, HORRIFIC, OBSCENE, even TRAITOROUS quickly come to mind. Maybe Obama really is the Manchurian Candidate. Remember, the communist leaders of Mao's China are not called the "Butchers of Beijing" for nothing. Since seizing power in 1949, it is estimated that the communist government in China has murdered more than 50 million people (some reports say the number is over 70 million). As many as 3 million were killed in Mao's initial revolution. The historical record of Mao's murderous march to power staggers the imagination. According to Chinese historian Jung Chang, from 1958-1961, 38 million Chinese people were starved or worked to death, and 27 million died in Laogai death camps through 1976. The Weekly Standard quotes Chinese freedom fighter Harry Wu as saying that 15 million died in China's labor camps through 1997. According to Agence France Presse, as many as 5 million were killed in rural purges from 1946-1949, and 1 million were killed in urban purges through 1957. Then there is Tiananmen Square in 1989, when the Communist Chinese army murdered more than 2,000 college students. The number first reported by Chinese officials was 2,600, but then was quickly retracted. Early American estimates put the number at more than 3,000. The true number of deaths will likely never be known. But let's bring the discussion closer to home. Does the name Chosin Reservoir mean anything to anyone? Obviously, the name doesn't mean anything to President Barack Obama. However, that name means much to the tens of thousands of American families who lost husbands, sons, and fathers there. By mid-1950, the Korean conflict was all but over. U.S. Army and Marine forces had handily defeated the North Korean army. It looked realistic that our fighting men would be home by Christmas. But from October of that year, more than 60,000 communist troops from China crossed the border into North Korea. During the next two months, the invading communist forces killed more than 4,000 American troops. Of course, China's involvement in the conflict ensured a long, protracted war that resulted in the deaths of more than 50,000 brave Americans. And, of course, don't forget that Communist China also helped the Communist North Vietnamese kill more than 50,000 U.S. soldiers and Marines. Now President Barack Obama is going to hoist the Communist Chinese flag above the White House to "celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC." This is the same PRC that murdered 50-70 million of its own people. This is the same PRC that murdered thousands of Chinese students at Tiananmen Square. This is the same PRC that sent tens of thousands of troops to kill American soldiers and Marines in North Korea and Vietnam. This is the same PRC that yet today persecutes, imprisons, tortures, and kills Christians, Buddhists, and other people of faith. This is the PRC that still operates torture chambers, labor camps, and death squads. This is the same PRC that demands that Chinese families have no more than one child: meaning death to children where there is already a sibling present in the home. This is the same PRC that Obama wants to "celebrate" by flying its flag above the White House. Advertisement Why is the mainstream press not all over this story? Where is the outrage by veterans' organizations (especially Korean War veterans)? Where is the national VFW? Where is the American Legion? Where is John Murtha? Where is John Kerry? Where is John McCain? Perhaps one blogger summed it up the best. He said, "It can now be official--leave the [Chinese] flag there." His point is well taken. China already owns more U.S. debt than any other entity. America's politicians from both parties have superintended over the outsourcing of manufacturing jobs and factories to (mostly) China. America's business elite at the Chamber of Commerce has willingly traded U.S. business interests to China at unprecedented and dangerous levels. Major banking institutions have enthusiastically orchestrated the commercial and financial buildup of Communist China. America's military and political leadership have even helped augment Red China's military apparatus. "Made in China" labels appear on almost everything we buy today; perhaps it is appropriate that the Red flag flies over the White House. While we're at it, let's hoist the Red flag over the newsrooms of many of America's newspapers; the headquarters of ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN; most of the political science classrooms at America's major colleges and universities; many of our mainline "Christian" denominations; the boardrooms of many major U.S. corporations; and also over many of the smoke-filled parlors of Big Labor.
