BE SAFE ON LINE

Here are some things that will help keep you safe in your online journey:

* Get a real antivirus product. I do recommend Norton Antivirus, just the antivirus, don't need the extra crap. Amazon, cheap, get it!
* Keep Windows and above antivirus UPDATED!
* Never click on a link in an email... instead, use your bookmarks/favorites. OK, you can't do it all the time, but if it's from your bank or credit card, definitely follow these rules.
* Usernames/passwords and things of that sort will never be asked via email.
* Be very careful of the answers you give on those lovely quizzes that are emailed.
* Same quizzes, but in Facebook.
* Use better passwords for your stuff, especially your email.
* Having said that, don't use the same password for everything online!

Those stupid quizzes are often ways to get this information from you. You don't know who is going to see and read that information. Favorite color, pet names, street you grew up on, hometown, first car, birthplace, grandparent's last name (another way of saying (mother's maiden name)... all security questions that you would use to retrieve your password.

If they get your password, they get your email, they take over your life, and it CAN get worse! Since you used the same lame password for everything, you're no longer online as you. There goes your credit card information!

"But I don't do anything online but email (and facebook)! I don't do bills, banking, etc"
Just because YOU don't, doesn't mean that they (having your newly acquired info) won't start to. Just think about it, it can, and does happen. Just be safe and follow these few simple things.

Some Farcebook apps are "poisoned" or malware. I've repaired several computers that have been messed up by Farcebook. I don't know which ones are bad, but I can point out that "Facebook Gold" fans might have some issues, especially if you download the file they want you to download and run so you can see your new FB account! I helped get several of those accounts killed, but 5 more popped up.

If you're using Win 3.1x, Win95, Win98, Win ME, or DOS - Get a new computer already! Windows 2000 is about out of steam, Microsoft will stop updating it soon. XP still has updates, but it too will be a thing of the past soon. Vista isn't too bad once you get Service Pack 2 installed, and you should already have installed that if you're using Vista! Windows 7 is the new thing, get it if you can. A new computer can be brought home for $400. It won't be a power house, but it's better than that old 386 with the Turbo Button on it.

From My newphew David! Good information!!!

CBS DIDN'T STOP HIM- THIS IS GREAT
Good for him!!!

Surprised CBS let him get away with this, even though he's

Andy Rooney said on '60 Minutes' a few weeks back:
'I don't think being a minority

My father and

I think the

I don't think just because you were not born in this
country, you are qualified for any special loan
programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax

trinket store, or any other business.
We did not go to the aid of

I am sick of 'Political

I was asked to send this on if I

Americans believe in God.. Therefore I have a very
hard time understanding why there is such a problem
in having 'In God We Trust' on our money and having
'God' in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just
tell the 14% to BE QUIET!!!

M.A.D.D.

Went to a party Mom
(read all the way to the bottom and sign your name)

I went to a party,
And remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
So I had a sprite instead.

I felt proud of myself,
The way you said I would,
That I didn't drink and drive,
Though some friends said I should.

I made a healthy choice,
And your advice to me was right.
The party finally ended,
And the kids drove out of sight..

I got into my car,
Sure to get home in one piece.
I never knew what was coming, Mom,
Something I expected least.

Now I'm lying on the pavement,
And I hear the policeman say,
The kid that caused this wreck was drunk,
Mom, his voice seems far away.

My own blood's all around me,
As I try hard not to cry...
I can hear the paramedic say,
This girl is going to die.

I'm sure the guy had no idea,
While he was flying high.
Because he chose to drink and drive,
Now I would have to die.

So why do people do it, Mom
Knowing that it ruins lives?
And now the pain is cutting me,
Like a hundred stabbing knives.

Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom
Tell daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven,
Put ' Mommy's Girl' on my grave.

Someone should have taught him,
That it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had,
I'd still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter,
Mom I'm getting really scared
These are my final moments,
And I'm so unprepared.

I wish that you could hold me Mom,
As I lie here and die..
I wish that I could say, 'I love you, Mom!'
So I love you and good-bye.

IS PLANNED PARENTHOOD RUNNING THE WHITE HOUSE???? FROM AUL

Dear Friend of Life,

Make no mistake about it: President Obama, Senator Reid, and Speaker Pelosi are pushing ahead with their government takeover of health care - this time, with a "new and improved" health care bill!

Donate today However President Obama's new health care proposal still contains the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade -- and your tax dollars will still be paying for it.

We need your help right now, as the pro-abortion lobby has tightened its stranglehold on Congress and the White House. According to official White House visitor logs, President Obama has allowed Planned Parenthood unfettered access to his Administration. Planned Parenthood President, Cecile Richards, has privately met with President Obama's staff to discuss health care reform on several occasions (with her first visit coming only days after his inauguration!). This open door policy demonstrates the imminent danger of taxpayer-funded abortions - unless we take immediate action.

Will you stand with us by making an urgently-needed contribution of $50, $100, $250, or more? Americans United for Life stands in strong opposition to any bill that uses taxpayer dollars for abortion.

Speaker Pelosi, Senator Reid, and President Obama are determined to reward their friends at Planned Parenthood with your tax dollars. In Pelosi's own words, she will do anything and everything to pass health care reform: "If the gate is closed we will go over the fence. If the fence is too high, we will pole vault in. If that doesn't work, we will parachute in. But we are going to get health care reform passed."

We cannot let these radical, pro-abortion forces win. But we cannot fight back without significant financial support from partners like you. Will you help us ramp up our fight against taxpayer funded abortion with your tax-deductible contribution of $50, $100, $250 or more to Americans United for Life? I'm counting on your urgent contribution.

AUL Yours for Life,
Charmaine Yoest

Americans United for Life

P.S. Every dollar of your contribution of $50, $100, $250 or more is 100% tax-deductible. Your tax dollars should never pay for abortions and it is only thanks to your financial support that we are able to defend life every single day. Thank you for your investment in life.

THE LAW IS THE LAW!!

I hope this makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!!"

THE LAW IS THE LAW!

I really love this one

So Be It!

THE LAW IS THE LAW

So " if " the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it..

And " if " that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments"

are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and its employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the "US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break.." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."

In fact....

I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day.....

What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions" and begin, once again, to represent the "majority" of ALL of the American people.

SO BE IT...........

Please Dear Lord,

Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!

'Amen' and 'Amen'

Touché!

These are definitely things I never thought about but from now on, I will be sure to question those in government who support these changes.

At the top, it says "I hope this makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!!"

Let's see that it does.

Never forget the tragedy of 9/11.

AUL

Dear Londa,

Yesterday, President Obama released his health care proposal…with no mention of the Life issue. Remember, the President promised you that “no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions, and federal conscience laws will remain in place.” In a meeting last fall, I told the White House very clearly that unless they include specific legislative language banning the use of federal funds for abortion, they will be establishing taxpayer funding for abortion. The President knows what he needs to do to keep his promise and has done just the opposite.

The Washington Examiner reported yesterday that the President and his staff have met at least four times with Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, but that the President has not spoken to Congressman Bart Stupak – sponsor of the Stupak Amendment that protected Life in the House of Representatives health care bill – since September 18th, 2009. There is only one conclusion to be drawn; the Obama Administration has been working hand in hand with the pro-abortion lobby.

What You Can Do

* We have learned that the President’s proposal is very close to the pro-abortion health care bill passed by the Senate last December. AUL’s legal team has prepared a detailed analysis that includes my original letter to the White House on this issue. KNOW THE FACTS, Click here for AUL’s detailed analysis of the President’s proposal.

* This Thursday, February 25th, a select group of leaders from both parties are attending a White House health care summit. Our Washington staff is engaged in outreach to this select group. We’ve put together an action sheet with six specific questions to ask President Obama. URGE OUR LEADERS to ask President Obama these questions by clicking here.

WHOLE HEARTNESS

WHOLE-HEARTNESS

Deuteronomy 30:6
"And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart & the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart & with all your soul, that you may live

2 Kings 23:3
Then the king stood by a pillar & made a covenant before the Lord, to follow the Lord & to keep His commandments & His testimonies & His statues, with all his heart & all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people took their stand for the covnenant.

2 Chronicles 15: 12, 14 & 15
12) Then they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers will all their heart & with all their soul;
14) Then they took an oath before the Lord with a loud voice, with shouting & trumpets & rams horns.
15) And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart & sought Him with all their soul; & He was found by them, & the Lord gave them rest all around.

Jeremiah 24:7
'Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; & they shall be My people, & I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

Jeremiah 29:13
And you will seek Me & find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Wholeheartness is one of the secrets of entering into the covenant & God being found in there. Also, wholdheartness secret s the joy of salvation. Whole-heartness is a full entrance into all of Gods blessing.
So walking in wholeheartness toward God, is a blessing in it self.
The first commendment:
Matthew 22: 37 & 38
37) Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, & with all your mind."
38) This is the first & great commandment.

If you give your whole heart to God, He gives His people blessing. So, walking in wholeheartness toward God, is a wonderful blessing. You find God, you find joy, you find salvation, & the comforter the Holy Spirit. What you will also find the truth of Gods Love. All of this was done by Jesus Christ who shed His Blood for us. So you get back what you give. So if you give your life to God you get eternal life back. God gives you joy!!

The very first commandment is to Love God with all your whole heart This law is still unchangeable to ths day!!
With loving & seeking Fod wholeheartly it allows God to be attanable to us. He wants us to turn our whole heart to Him. Not anything else but, Him!!

We all need to realize that the Holy Spirit is in us to love God & to be able to accept by faith that our heart can see the wonderful gift it is!! To be able to tell God that you will love Him NO MATTER WHAT!
God does not make us take it. He gives it to us that we may take it. And it is wonderful to see His love for us, that He gave His OLNY Begotten Son Glood. So we still have a choose to accept this wholehearly. & to love Him with our heart or not. But, what a blessing it is to give our whole heart to Him. God to reveal the things God has prepard for us. BLESSINGS!!! It is freely given to us by God.

1 Corinthians 2:9, 10, & 12
9) But as it is written:
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
10) But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

It is wonderful to be led & taught by the Holy Spiritr of God. To contnully to follow & worship Him with your whole heart. To give thanks for this goft of God.
Andy Murray said:
" The new heart is not a power I have in myself, like the natual enownment to thinking & loveing. No, it is only in unceasing depenence on God that the heavenly gift of a new heart can be maintained uninjured day & day & become stronger! It is only in God's immediate presence, that spiritual endowments are preserved."

We will not have other spiritual gifts such as the Fruits of the Spirit; meekness, love, boldness, & the others gifts. So we need to exercise them. A baby doesn't have everything; the child legs will grow strong & steady & they just keep growing & learning. We need to be as a baby who learns, then grows & strengthen & have the free gifts of God.

Ask God, He will not denied you if you seek & worship Him with your whole heart. Be devoted to God, do His service. Speak to God wholeheartly & Yes, He will hear you!! His Word & Holy Spirit will teach you!

Don't ever stop & do not hold back. Wait on the Lord let His fire burn in you! To love God wholeheartly. To enter into His heart where you are loved & in God's Heart!!

Matthew 22: 37 & 38
37) Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, & with all your mind."
38) This is the first & great commandment.

AMEN & AMEN

SENATOR ROBERTS OF KANSAS

February Roberts Report

February 22, 2010

Visa Security Bill
Senator Roberts recently joined Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), to introduce legislation to close critical security gaps in our current visa screening process, which, had they been addressed prior, could have prevented Nigerian terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab from boarding the plane to Detroit Christmas day. Roberts co-sponsored this legislation that would require the Department of Homeland Security to deploy personnel to conduct on-site visa reviews in high-volume visa posts and high-risk countries, clarify that DHS has the ultimate authority to revoke any visas in the interests of our national security, and require updates to law enforcement and consular databases of revoked visas.

Sen. Roberts said, “We saw again on Christmas Day that these terrorists have not stopped targeting our country,” Sen. Roberts said. “We need to put in place better safeguards to prohibit future breaches of security. This legislation would allow DHS to revoke a visa based on security interests, resulting in improved communication and security policies to better protect Americans.”

President’s Budget Proposal
Upon release of the President’s budget proposal to Congress, Senator Roberts remarked on provisions that will have negative consequences for Kansas and the rest of the nation:

“After wading through the President’s budget proposal, we learn that despite the rhetoric of budget freezes, it contains billions in new spending and at $3.83 trillion in total spending, represents an all time high. Kansans will pay the price in higher taxes, or through cuts to agricultural programs on which our rural communities rely. The Administration makes many assumptions especially in regard to health care reform and cap and trade proposals. As debate continues on these issues, I will continue to protect the interests of the state.”

Haiti Update - Tax deduction information
Kansans who have generously given charitable contributions to Haiti relief after January 11, 2010 and before March 1, 2010, will now be able to take those deductions off their 2009 taxes instead of 2010. Congress expeditiously approved this legislation, which Senator Roberts supported, to allow those charitable donations to Haiti earthquake relief efforts to be tax deductible on 2009 returns. Taxpayers have the option of deducting these contributions on either their 2009 or 2010 returns, but not both. For information from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regarding these deductions, please visit: http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=218678,00.html?portlet=7 .

Additionally, Senator Roberts joined Senator Sam Brownback and a bipartisan group of Senators, to urge the U.S. Departments of State and Homeland Security to take additional steps to ensure the safety of Haitian orphans. The Senators wrote a letter to Secretary of State Clinton and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano urging them to expedite the search and rescue of orphans in Haiti so that prospective parents can proceed as quickly as possible to bring their children home.

Senator Roberts’ thoughts and prayers continue to be with the people of Haiti as they deal with the aftermath of this severe earthquake affecting hundreds of thousands of people. For general information from the State Department on Haiti, visit http://www.state.gov/p/wha/ci/ha/ .

U.S. Census
Mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the United States Census Bureau counts every resident in the United States every 10 years. This year, the census forms will be mailed to every residence, or approximately 134 million households, on March 1. The form’s questions relate to age, date of birth, and whether one rents or owns a home. It will not ask for Social Security numbers. To complete the form, answer the 10 short questions and then mail the form back in the postage-paid envelope provided. As spelled out in the Constitution, the decennial census is used to determine a state’s Congressional representation, making it extremely important to fill out. The information collected by the Census Bureau is used strictly for statistical purposes. By law, personal information cannot be shared with anyone including other government agencies.

Senator Roberts said, “The Census Bureau is an indispensable resource for my work on behalf of the people of Kansas. The Bureau provides a picture of the population through the decennial census. Other surveys conducted by the Bureau provide details on trends in consumer spending, household income, and health care. These metrics are central for forging policies that ensure the continued growth and prosperity of our state.”

The regional Census Bureau call center is in Kansas City and the phone number is 816-994-2000. For general information from the Census Bureau, visit: http://2010.census.gov/2010census/ . If there are further questions about this process or the forms, please contact one of Senator Roberts’ offices at http://www.roberts.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?p=OfficeLocations .

Progress for Treece
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) continues to work with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) toward a solution for the people of Treece. In October, Congress passed legislation that is now law, which Senator Roberts supported, giving authority to the EPA to buyout the residents of Treece. Recently there was a public meeting for the residents of Treece and KDHE is in the process of forming a trust that will lead to a safer solution for the residents. Senator Roberts said, “I am pleased EPA and KDHE are working to advance the relocation process, which would be a long term solution for the residents of Treece, Setting up the trust and holding public meetings are important steps to give these folks hope. I urge the state to come through on the cost share commitment to this project to ensure the people of Treece safety."

Additionally, EPA recently announced an opportunity for public comments regarding a Draft Explanation of Significant Difference (ESD). This information can be found at: http://www.epa.gov/region6/6sf/oklahoma/tar_creek/ok_tar_creek_ou4_draft_esd_%2020100212.pdf .

Visiting Washington, DC
With spring break and summer approaching, Senator Roberts’ office can be a resource while planning a group or family trip to Washington, DC. Washington, DC has many attractions and Roberts’ office can assist with obtaining entry for some of the most popular sites: the U.S. Capitol Building, Kennedy Center, White House, National Cathedral, Pentagon, Library of Congress, Bureau of Printing and Engraving, Department of State, and the Supreme Court. Due to the high demand and space limitations at many points of interest, Roberts’ office cannot guarantee tickets. Also, for the White House requests, please submit three to six months in advance as tickets are extremely limited.

One Year After the Stimulus Kansans Still Ask “Where are the Jobs?”
This week marked the one-year anniversary of President Obama signing into law the $862 billion so-called economic “stimulus” plan. I voted against that plan last year because I thought the bill spent too much money and I did not think it would put Kansans back to work. The White House predicted the bill would create 33,000 jobs in Kansas, but in reality, our state has lost 47,100 over the past year.

The $862 billion so-called stimulus is clearly not the “job creator” that the President claimed, but that does not mean there are not things that can be done. With nearly one in ten Americans out of work it would be irresponsible to turn our backs on job creation now. That is why I have worked on a no-cost jobs plan to provide tax relief to small businesses, to expand trade, to reform the unemployment system to help folks find jobs and to stop the reckless spending in Washington. Click here to read more about the plan I have worked on.

In December, the House passed a second bill which would add another $174 billion to their first failed stimulus bill. There is not yet a final bill in the Senate, but I am hopeful they will take a fiscally responsible, common-sense approach. President Obama is also pledging to work on a jobs plan. As our economy struggles, I will continue working on responsible plans to jumpstart the economy without burying future generations deeper in debt.

I would like to know your thoughts about what should be included in a new jobs bill so I hope you will take my survey that is located in the sidebar of this email.

Relieved that Drew Culberth has Returned Home
Since learning that Topeka firefighter Drew Culberth was one of ten Americans being held in Haiti, my staff and I have worked with the Department of State to ensure that Drew and the other Americans were safe and healthy. After three long weeks, it was great to get word earlier this week that Drew and seven other Americans had been released and were coming back to the United States. This is wonderful news for Drew and his family and friends as well as the entire Topeka community. My continued thoughts and prayers go out to Drew and his family during this challenging time, but it is relieving to have him home in Topeka.

Spending Time in Kansas
It has been wonderful to be in Kansas this week visiting local small businesses, meeting with constituents and cheering on my son’s basketball team. Tuesday I was honored to spend time with the Kansas Livestock Association at their legislative reception in Topeka. I had great conversations with the livestock producers at the reception about issues affecting their operations, ranging from burdensome environmental regulations to the need to expand international markets for beef.

Thursday morning I headed south to Fort Scott where I attended the local Chamber coffee in the morning. I talked about the need for job creation and fiscal responsibility in Washington and listened to the concerns of the business community in Fort Scott. The folks at Shelter Insurance were great hosts and I look forward to visiting with the Fort Scott Chamber again soon. After that, Fort Scott Community College Director of Development Daryl Roller gave me an informative tour of campus. Before leaving town, we swung by the Rotary Baked Potato Feed at the Scottish Rite Temple, where I enjoyed lunch and got a quick tour of the historic theater upstairs. My compliments to the chili chef!

I also had the opportunity to attend a presentation about the budget situation in Kansas while I was home this week. As you know, Kansas is facing an almost $400 million budget shortfall. While I cannot vote on a budget for the State of Kansas, I can do my best to prevent the federal government from making it even harder on all states.

I am home every weekend, so if there is an event you would like me to attend, please contact my Topeka office at (785) 234-5966 or my Pittsburg office at (620) 231-5966.

WATCH OUT FOR THIS SCAM

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!
Man, they are getting slick!!!
New Credit Card Scam
Snopes. Com says this is true. To verify see this site: http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/creditcard.asp Truth or
Fiction says it's also true to also
verify this site go here : http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/p/phishing.htm

This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the information, except the one piece they want.

Note, the callers do not ask for your card number; they already have it.... This information is worth reading. By understanding how the VISA & Master Card Telephone Credit Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared to protect yourself.

One of our employees was called on Wednesday from 'VISA', and I was called on Thursday from 'Master Card'.. The scam works like this: Caller: 'This is (name), and I'm calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My Badge number is 12460.. Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern, and I'm calling to verify. This would be on your VISA card which was issued by (name of bank). Did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketing Device for $497.99 from a Marketing company based in ?'

When you say 'No', the caller continues with, 'Then we will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges range from $297 to $497, just under the $500 purchase pattern that flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be sent to (gives you your address), is that correct?'

You say 'yes'. The caller continues - 'I will be starting a Fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the 1- 800 number listed on the back of your card (1-800 -VISA) and ask for Security.'

You will need to refer to this Control Number. The caller then gives you a 6 digit number. 'Do you need me to read it again?'

Here's the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works. The caller then says, 'I need to verify you are in possession of your card'. He'll ask you to 'turn your card over and look for some numbers'. There are 7 numbers; the first 4 are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security Numbers that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are the numbers you sometimes use to make Internet purchases to prove you have the card. The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him. After you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he'll say, 'That is correct, I just needed to verify that the card has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your card. Do you have any other questions?' After you say No, the caller then thanks you and states, 'Don't hesitate to call back if you do, and hangs up.

You actually say very little, and they never ask for or tell you the Card number.. But after we were called on Wednesday, we called back within 20 minutes to ask a question.. Are we glad we did! The REAL VISA Security Department told us it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase of $497.99 was charged to our card.

Long story - short - we made a real fraud report and closed the VISA account. VISA is reissuing us a new number. What the scammers want is the 3-digit PIN number on the back of the card Don't give it to them. Instead, tell them you'll call VISA or Master card directly for verification of their conversation. The real VISA told us that they will never ask for anything on the card as they already know the information since they issued the card! If you give the scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you're receiving a credit. However, by the time you get your statement you'll see charges for purchases you didn't make, and by then it's almost too late and/or more difficult to actually file a fraud report.

What makes this more remarkable is that on Thursday, I got a call from a 'Jason Richardson of Master Card' with a word-for-word repeat of the VISA scam. This time I didn't let him finish.. I hung up! We filed a police report, as instructed by VISA. The police said they are taking several of these reports daily! They also urged us to tell everybody we know that this scam is happening.

Please pass this on to all your family, friends and neighbors. By informing each other, we protect each other.

Neighbors helping neighbors; always the best policy!

American heroes could get swapped for hip-hop culture in textbooks

A state board of only 15 people will vote on whether to revise U.S. textbooks to omit references to Daniel Boone, Gen. George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day and Christmas.

The Texas State Board of Education will also vote on a proposal to substitute the term "American" with "global citizen."

Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, is warning Americans to speak up before only eight people, with a majority vote, have a chance to literally rewrite American history.

He appeared on the "Huckabee Show" to explain why the board's vote matters to the rest of America. Staver said Texas and California are the two largest textbook purchasers in the nation.

"Whatever textbooks they select affect the rest of the country because publishers publish those kinds of books, and the rest of the country follows," he said.

But because of California's budget crisis, the state hasn't been able to purchase as many new textbooks, he explained. So the default is Texas.

"So when this 15-member board – eight people of that will make a majority – make a decision, it will affect the entire nation," Staver said.

Those eight people could decide what children will learn in various other parts of the country.

According to Liberty Counsel, some of the suggestions that have come forward at various times include:

* Removing references to Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day and Christmas.

* Including the cultural impact of hip-hop music, ACLU lawyer Clarence Darrow and the Hindu holiday of Diwali.

* Replacing the term "American" with "global citizen" – stating that students need to be shaped "for responsible citizenship in a global society" without any mention of citizenship in American society.

* Replacing expansionism and free enterprise with imperialism and capitalism.

Staver said one proposal suggests the name of Nathan Hale, a patriot of the American Revolutionary War, be removed and replaced with the name of a man who invented fireman helmets. He also said one proposal suggests removal of references to Independence Day.

"Those are no good anymore," Staver told Mike Huckabee. "America is looked at, not as some country that gave liberty and freedom to others around the world, but as a global villain."

He warns, one proposal suggests take the Declaration of Independence and literally erasing God from its Preamble.

"A lot of the history – particularly religious history or patriotic history and American exceptionalism – all of that will simply be removed if people around the country don't speak up," he said.

Cynthia Dunbar, an elected member of the board and assistant professor at Liberty University School of Law, said, "James Madison warned us that when error is allowed to become steeped in precedent it leads to tyranny. If an erroneous view of our American heritage is allowed to stand, that view will be even more entrenched when we revisit this issue again in 10 years. Since the board consists of only 15 members, the decision of eight individuals may determine what goes into textbooks on a national level; it is crucial that the voices of patriotic Americans be heard."

The board's next meeting is in March, and the final reading and adoption of the social studies guidelines will be in May.

Note: Concerned individuals may call or fax board members or e-mail the Texas State Board of Education.

If you would like to sound off on this issue, participate in today's WND Poll.

SURRENDER

Surrender

Matthew 11:29 - 30
29) "Take My yoke upon & learn from Me, for I am gentle & lowly in heart, & you will find rest for your souls.
30) "For My yoke is easy & my burden is light."

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

YOKE: G2218 (Strong's Exhaustive Concordance)
root word zeugnymi - to join especially by a "yoke", a coupling
ie (figuratively) servitude (a law or obligation); also (literally) the beam of the balance (as a connecting the scales) pair of balances yoke.
G2201 - pair together.

Webster's Dictionary - greek zygon to
join or linked
a. wooden box
b. an arched device formerly laid on the neck of a defeated person

Luke 14:19
"And another said, ; I have bought five yoke of oxen, & I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.'

Jesus spoke how just the yoke is the same as Webster Dictionary explains the load of the yoke that is laid on the neck of a defeated person. That Jesus has divided between two people making it easier, which leaves a rest & as Andrew Murray says; "the moment the moment the soul yields itself to obey, the LORD Himself gives the strength & joy to it".
You have to surrender to Him. As the song says from I Surrender All to Him. We need to surrender that all to Him & to trust in Him.

Dear Friend of Life,

For months, Speaker Pelosi, Senator Reid, and President Obama held secret meetings in an attempt to pass government-run health care that funded abortion. Then, after losing a Senate seat in Massachusetts and their filibuster-proof majority along with it, the Democrats publicly stated that they would work with Republicans on health care... but we have just learned their true intentions.

Donate today President Obama publicly called for a bi-partisan approach, even asking Republicans for an open televised session. But the truth has been exposed through news articles reporting that Speaker Pelosi's top health care aide is telling insiders their real plan to get taxpayer-funded abortions.

Their secret plan is to pass two bills, using a procedure called reconciliation to avoid a filibuster in the Senate. One of the bills will be the pro-abortion Senate bill, which includes taxpayer funding for abortion. Then comes the trick...

Pelosi's top health care aide said, "the reconciliation bill would trump the Senate bill... There's a certain skill, there's a trick, but I think we'll get it done." Given the Congressional leadership's commitment to federal funding for abortion, you can be sure the trick will include abortion funding.

Once again we see that the will of the American people doesn't matter, and the pro-abortion Congressional leadership will stop at nothing to force pro-life Americans to fund abortion with our tax dollars! We must keep up the pressure and make sure that they are stopped.

Will you stand with Americans United for Life against President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Senator Reid by making a tax-deductible contribution of $50, $100, $250 or more? We will continue to stand in resolute opposition to taxpayer-funded abortions and the Congressional majority's "tricks," but we need your financial help to do so.

The pro-abortion lobby is salivating at the prospect of federally-funded abortions. According to Planned Parenthood, "we've never had a better chance" for a government takeover of health care and the funds for the largest expansion of abortion in America since Roe v. Wade.

This is outrageous. We all know that Washington politicians have a knack for saying one thing and doing another, but this takes duplicity to new heights. The stakes for protecting innocent life could not be higher and, as this news further demonstrates, the pro-abortion forces will stop at nothing to get taxpayer dollars for their work.

Fortunately, we know that a majority of Americans are pro-life, and together we will stand in strong opposition to taxpayer-funded abortions - regardless of any "tricks" pro-abortion members of Congress may have up their sleeve.

Americans United for Life urgently needs your support so that we will have the resources to get our message out to the American people. We need an urgent tax-deductible contribution of $50, $100, $250 or more to make sure that your tax dollars are used to save lives rather than take lives.

We've already learned of Planned Parenthood's abortion "mega-mart" in Houston, Texas that could be a model for more large abortion centers around the country. The tragedy of this dramatic increase in innocent lives lost cannot happen. Will you stand with us to stop their efforts and stand for life?

P.S. The efforts of Planned Parenthood and NARAL are on-going, and they now have the support of the Congressional majority. Will you consider making an on-going commitment by choosing the "monthly sustaining contribution" on our secure online contribution page here? If you choose this option, your credit card will be automatically billed on a monthly basis in the amount of your choosing. And every dollar is 100% tax-deductible.

It is only thanks to your financial support that we are able to defend human life every single day. Thank you.
D.C. Snow Storm Forces House to Cancel Votes (Your Pocketbook is Safer for Another Week)
Two rounds of snow storms blanketed Washington, D.C. under nearly three feet of snow over the past few days so votes were canceled in the House this week. While meetings and hearings will have to be rescheduled, and we’ll all have to play “catch-up” when Congress returns, one thing for certain is your pocketbooks are temporarily safer because of this snow storm.

Despite pledging to take a new fiscally responsible direction, President Obama continues forward with his big spending agenda. While I continue to agree with 90 percent of what he says, I find myself disagreeing with about 90 percent of what he does. I simply don’t see how you can propose a $3.8 trillion budget that puts our nation $1.6 trillion further in debt next year and claim to be fiscally responsible. The reckless spending in Washington is hurting our economy and stifling job creation.

While the House passed another “stimulus” plan in December that looked very much like the one passed last February, the Senate is taking a different approach. There is not a finalized bill in the Senate, but it appears they are focusing on targeted relief to small businesses to encourage job creation. I am encouraged to hear that and hope to see a fiscally responsible plan. Whatever legislation emerges from the Senate, though, I will continue working with my colleagues on solutions to create jobs.

Accepting Entries for the 2010 Congressional Art Competition
The Congressional Art Competition is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and showcase the talents of high school students across the Second District. I recently opened this year’s competition and am accepting entries from all high school students in the Second District. The winning entry in the competition will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year. I look forward to seeing our talented students’ artwork, and I hope many participate in this year’s competition.

The deadline for submitting artwork is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010. All submissions must be received at my office in Topeka at 3550 SW 5th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66606. The winning entry will be announced at a reception on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library located at 1515 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604. I encourage students, parents and teachers to attend the reception. Please call my Topeka office at 785-234-LYNN (5966) or visit my website for more information.

Spending Time in Kansas
It was great to have extra time at home to meet with Kansans this week since votes were canceled in Washington because of the snow storms. On Monday I spoke to the Kansas Motor Carriers Association board of directors about legislation affecting their businesses, including cap and trade, card check, the economy and health care. We had a great discussion about these and other issues. Tuesday morning I was honored to give the keynote address to the Kansas Bankers Association public affairs conference. We discussed financial regulatory reform in the House Financial Services Committee and other issues affecting the financial markets.

Wednesday morning I had a great meeting with Tom Thornton with the Kansas Bioscience Authority to discuss NBAF and how important this project is to our state and to our nation’s security. I also attended the “Gateway to Success” event hosted jointly by the Manhattan, Topeka and Lawrence Chambers of Commerce. It was great to hear from KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little, K-State President Kirk Schulz and Washburn President Jerry Farley about how their universities are working together to generate economic development here in Kansas. We are fortunate to have such great universities in the Second District, and it was an honor to attend this event. I was also able to stop by the Kansas Credit Union’s legislative reception and discuss issues affecting their financial institutions in our state.

I will be in Kansas next week during the President’s Day congressional work period so if there is an event you would like me to attend, please contact my Topeka office at (785) 234-5966 or my Pittsburg office at (620) 231-5966.

Friends,

Here in the Washington, DC area, we have found ourselves in the midst of a storm some around here have called the “snowpocalypse.” It’s been difficult to get around and today we have even more snow on the way. Well, with every difficulty, there is always a hidden blessing.

Partly because of the snow, nearly 107 million people tuned in to watch the Super Bowl – making it the most watched TV program in US history.

And, thanks to the vision of our friends at Focus on the Family, 107 million Americans had the opportunity to view the much-anticipated Tebow commercial. When I saw the ad, I had the same reaction I am guessing you had – I couldn’t believe how much controversy had been created by the pro-abortion groups. This ad was an understated and appropriate celebration of life, and I am personally grateful to Focus on the Family.

I want to thank you for joining the Facebook campaign “Support Tebow’s Super Bowl Ad”, which AUL Action created in partnership with LifeNews.com, as the pro-abortion lobby worked overtime to prevent the commercial from airing. A stunning 260,000 of you signed up to say “yes” to free speech and “no” to censorship. AUL Action’s effort was profiled in The Washington Examiner, The New York Times, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, and on numerous social media sites like Mashable.

Thank you for your overwhelming show of support.

Finally, as we anticipate today’s latest snowstorm in Washington, DC, there is a political storm brewing here. I am sure you have heard that the Administration and leaders in Congress are signaling that they want to launch a new, bi-partisan effort to pass healthcare reform legislation. Unfortunately, it seems this new effort may simply be an attempt to find another way to push for the same old, pro-abortion health care bill.

A health care bill that includes public funding for abortion is unacceptable, no matter how you repackage and remarket it to the American people. Our team is working around the clock to make sure that we can provide you – and our leaders on Capitol Hill – with the very best information and analysis on health care and abortion as this new situation develops.

Thank you for all that you continue to do for Life.

A Shawnee state legislator is making progress with legislation she says will protect the state’s and citizens’ rights.

Sen. Mary Pilcher Cook, R-Shawnee, is the lead sponsor of the Kansas Healthcare Freedom Amendment, a proposed amendment to the Kansas Constitution that would prohibit requiring Kansans to buy health insurance under a federal government plan. She also is active in pushing the Legislature to adopt a resolution that demands the federal government stop making mandates beyond the scope of the U.S. Constitution’s 10th Amendment which gives states power over areas not specifically designated to the federal government.

Cook said though the federal government hasn’t finalized a healthcare reform bill, she saw both items as important to protecting the rights of Kansans.

“Who knows what the federal government is going to do?” she said. “I think it’s very important; it’s the state’s duty to protect the citizens’ liberty.”

Rep. Cindy Neighbor, D-Shawnee, explained that those who oppose the resolution and amendment see both as ineffective measures costing the state a lot of money and time at a time when Kansas has a budget shortfall.

“We’re looking at making cuts of $400 million,” Neighbor said. “I think we could do better work for the people.”

Cook has been promoting the Healthcare Freedom Amendment since last fall, along with Reps. Brenda Landwehr and Peggy Mast in the House. It is based on a similar amendment that will go before Arizona voters in November.

Cook’s amendment would have to be approved by two thirds of the House and Senate before it could go to Kansas voters for consideration in November 2010.

Cook said she has taken the forefront in the movement to support the amendment because she was the first to start contacting other legislators about it.

“You can get a lot done if you’re not real concerned about who gets the credit for it, so that’s kind of the attitude I have,” Cook said. “I just kind of happened to have the idea.”

Cook, Landwehr and Mast promoted the amendment last fall with the help of American for Prosperity group, spurring a protest and counter-protest in November in downtown Shawnee.

Cook said she has heard a lot of support for the amendment from constituents. In the Legislature, she thinks most Republicans support the proposal.

The Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee scheduled a hearing Tuesday afternoon on the proposed legislation, CR 1626.

“We have a high hurdle because we’ll have to pass it with two-thirds vote in the House, go straight to the ballot,” she said. “… It will be interesting to see what the vote is.”

Cook said there were some common misconceptions about the bill among those who have spoken against it.

“They think this about not insuring all Kansans have access to healthcare, but in fact this proposed amendment is neutral to that because all this does is prevent government from forcing Kansans into any healthcare system they do not want,” she said. “It still allows Kansans to participate in any government healthcare system they want, it just keeps the government from saying you have to participate.”

The amendment would be supported by a Kansas State Sovereignty resolution Cook first introduced in February 2009, known as SCR 1615. Cook called it a formal declaration by the state that the federal government was overstepping the boundaries of power set in the constitution with its healthcare bill, saying the Healthcare Freedom Amendment is really a next step from the state sovereignty resolution.

“It’s kind of like the federal government breached their contract with Kansas, and the amendment is the next step in trying to repair that contract,” she said.

Cook said the resolution has received a lot of support.

“It just kind of built to a crescendo, more and more people started calling out for it,” she said.

The Senate Judiciary Committee endorsed it with a 10-1 vote Feb. 3. The resolution is nonbinding, so it needs to pass by a simple majority in the Senate and House to be sent to the president, congressional leaders and heads of all state legislatures.

But Neighbor said the Legislature had bigger items to worry about.

“The resolution took up two days of Senate hearing time and floor time, and it will do the same in the House, and then it is a resolution that carries absolutely no weight,” she said. “It’s not like a statute or a law that we pass. No one has to abide by it or pay attention to it, and we’ve spent $3,000 and three days in hearings on it when perhaps we should be looking at the things are really affecting us right now. I would rather have spent our time working on things that actually have meaningful outcomes to the citizens of Kansas.”

Cook, however, said the resolution was necessary and capable of making an impact when combined with similar resolutions from other states.

“When a whole lot of states are doing it, then the federal government really should listen, and I think they’re having trouble listening right now,” Cook said.

Neighbor said she doesn’t know of any legislators who don’t support state’s rights, and she worries that the resolution is a way of using the Constitution as “something that we can amend on a whim if we don’t like something.”

“There has to be a good, strong, valid reason for changes, because it appears that we are using it as more of a tool for getting what we want instead of looking long-term at what the consequences will be,” Neighbor said.

Neighbor said she also has heard from a lawyer who has studied the amendment and believes it likely would be found to be unconstitutional and thrown out.

“If that is true we would’ve spent a lot of time and money and an election on something that then would be null and void, and I’m not sure in the current state we’re in that we can really afford to do that right now,” she said.

Neighbor added it was strange to move forward with the amendment before Congress finalizes its healthcare reform bill.

“To say we won’t abide by it but we still want our money is kind of an interesting position to be in,” Neighbor said.

Well as a republican I thought the health bill was unconstitutional too, but then I saw this article that detailed why the health bill was perfectly constitutional and in fact it stated that not passing it would be government neglecting its duty. Every conservative should read it, it challenged my principles and view of the health care debate:

THREE THINGS THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US

THREE THINGS THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US

The first thing the Holy Spirit gives us is LOVE. Next He gives us HOPE , & He gives us LIBERTY.

LOVE:
Loving people is sometimes hard to do. Mostly if you feel that you were wronged by that person or persons. We as Christians cannot do any work for God, that it is acceptable to God without Love. Love will produce fruit. You are not even able to have fellowship with God without love. To God you become as a clanging cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:1
Though I speak with tongues of men & of angles, but have not love, I become as sounding brass or clanging cymbal.

We need to love others. The Holy Spirit gives us the love of God. Not just for people you love, but for people you do not like. You have to love them also. Let the Holy Spirit give you a heart of love.

Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

We have had that Love of God poured (pass tense) into our hearts. The Holy Spirit has done that for us & He will gives us Love to love the unlovable. There are no barriers now to be able to reach that person or persons.

Titus 2:1 & 2
1) But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine;
2) that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience

Titus tells us to stay in the sound doctrine of God. Love is one of the doctrine of God's. Without love you cannot serve God. Hatred begets Hatred. That is not of God!! But, Love begets Love! So Gods love helps us to love others!! It is by the grace of God to love the man who hates me.

Luke 6: 32 - 35
32) "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For evensinners love those who love them.
33) "And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.
34) "And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.
35) "But love your enemies do good, and lend hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Highest, For He is kind to the thankless & evil,

Love begets Love, It does take the grace of God to love your enemy Remember hate the sin he has done, not the sinner. If a person does not have the Love of God in his heart, he will not have God in his heart. We need to stay in the Word of God to feed upon His Word!.

Hebrews 12:15
looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, & by this many become defiled;

2 Corinthians 5:14 & 15
14) For the love of Christ constrains us, because we judge thus: that if one died for all, then all died.
15) and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them & rose again.

Paul tells us that the love of Christ constrains us. The Holy Spirit gives us love & that we take this love & teach of Christ. People of today does not believe the Word of God is true. This is not new for this world. Jeremiah had this problem also. Look at Jeremiah 32:2 & Jeremiah 20:9, We are to hold the truth of Gods love. Paul put love at the head of the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians. Love is the very first one. And really even through the other eight. Joy is love exulting; peace is love in repose; long-suffering is love on trail; gentleness is love in society; goodness is love in action; faith is love on the battlefield; meekness is love at school; & temperance is love in training.

HOPE:
With out hope you are not useful in Gods work. That means if losing hope is putting you out of communion with God. So he does not have the Spirit of God upon him for any service. There is not a place in the bible where God used a person without hope.

Romans 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit

We should not become discourage. So, ask God to forgive you of it, that we are cast down & discouraged. And ask God to give us hope through His Holy Spirit.

LIBERTY
We have gone through love, then hope, & now liberty. God does not use men who is in bound up. In today churches there is not a whole lot of liberty. Churches has so much formalism of strict adherence of their religion. They criticize church as you would a move or on stage performance. They no longer listen to what actually the man of God is saying. They want to be entertain, we go to church to receive the Word of God. I know that is harsh to say, but it is the truth! I would call it a carnally mind set. If you want liberty you must receive the Spoken Word of God.

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit; & where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty

Romans 8:21
because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Galatians 5:1 & 13
1) Stand fast therefore inn the liberty by which Christ has made us free, & do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
13) For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

James 1:25
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty & continues in it, & is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

1 Peter 2:16
as free, yet not using your liberty as a cloak for vice, but as servants of God.

Some people will not do the work of God, even when you tell them how good they would be. They will say: I have a life, where really they are tied up in bondage.. What would have happen if Christ said I had a life. What about all the men & women of the Bible said that also. Christ came to set us free! And He wants us to work & speak for Him. Even some will not even pray in a prayer meeting when they are asked to say a prayer or have a few words about Christ. That is very much a cold spirit in the church. The only reason they went in the first place was they felt it was their duty. Instead of a privilege!! That just is not right.

We need the Holy Spirit to give us these three things -- Love, Hope, Liberty. Placing them in our hearts! Don't you want Love, Hope, Liberty? I sure do. We need to pray daily for the renewing of these in our life, so we can enter boldly into Holy of the Holies.

Hebrews 10:19
Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,

It is a poor life to just live for sake of self. That gets us no where. We need to be used of God. To be a Sanctified Vessel of Him!!

2 Timothy 2:21
Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified & useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:17
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

AMEN & AMEN

UNTIMELY DEATH!!!!!!!!

.... BE SURE YOU SCROLL WAY DOWN TO SEE WHAT THIS MESSAGE HOLDS
FOR YOU!!!! YOU JUST MIGHT BE SURPRISED!!! I WAS!!!

DID YOU KNOW THESE FACTS? I SURE DIDN'T TILL NOW

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!
Make a personal reflection about this.......
Very interesting, read until the end.....

It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):
'Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap..

Here are some men and women who mocked God :

John Lennon (Singer):
Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine,
he said:
'Christianity
will end, it will disappear.
I do not have to argue about that.. I am certain.
Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more
famous than Him' (1966).
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ,
was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes
from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes,
but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ),
while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air
and said:'God, that's for you.' ;
He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner..

The man who built the Titanic
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the
Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said:
'Not even God can sink it'
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show.
He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: < span style="COLOR:#e0f1ff;">
'I don't need your Jesus'.
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he
sang:
'Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to
hell'.
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked
by his own vomit.

Cam pinas (IN 2005)
In Cam pinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a
friend......
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the
drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand,
who was already seated in the car:
'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.'
She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause
Inside Here.....It's Already Full '
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident,
everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but
surprisingly, the trunk was intact..
The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To
their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer)
said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.
In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name
that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.
Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

'Jesus'
I will also be embarrassed about you before my father.'

'8 Second Prayer.' Just repeat this prayer and see how God moves!!
'Lord,
I love you and I need you, to come into my heart, to change me for you that I may not be as the above people, I am not embarrassed by you, and Lord bless me,
my family, my home, and my friends, in Jesus' name. Amen.'

I Hope that you don't ignore and let God bless you ..

This was emailed to me, I do not know who the author of this is. It is so true. Stand up for your belief in God & do not be embarrassed. As you are not embarrassed by God; Jesus will not be embarrassed by you before His Father. Amen

GLENN BECK

Glenn Beck: American Revival
[Insider] Audio Available:

February 8, 2010 - 12:44 ET

Learn more about Glenn Beck's American Revival...

GLENN: I want to make an announcement that our you know, I talked to you in the fall about going out and doing these stadium shows, if you will, or these arena shows that would be conventions, and everyone believes that I'm going to go all politics on you, and I'm not. I'm going in a completely different direction, in a direction that I think personally I mean, I don't know. Honestly we've got a lot of money, a lot of money rolled up into these things and I looked at my business partner the other day and I went, and maybe nobody goes. We may not sell a single ticket. We could be completely off base to where the American people are today but this is where I think we should be. He said, that's not really something you tell me, at this point. Maybe you tell me that six months ago. And I said, yeah, yeah, probably would have been a good idea.

But here it is. The American Revival. Announcing today tickets go on sale for Insiders on Wednesday. This is an eight hour all day event and it's going to be happening in two different places. These are the first two. They may be the last two. I don't know. Everybody is going to talk to you this spring and summer and fall about politics and the right candidate and the tea parties are teaching you how to get involved and how to have your own, you know, grassroots effort. I will tell you that I don't know, I don't know why I feel so strongly on this, but I feel strongly. I felt like we needed to leapfrog that because I think that is a waste of time in many ways. I mean, I don't say, you know, you've got to be involved and you've got to, you know, do all those things. But the only thing that's really going to save our country is to reconnect with the truth. The truth of who we are, where we came from, what the truth is on the economy, and you are certainly not going to get that. You are not going to get that anywhere. There are 20 different ways this country and the world, the global economic situation can change overnight. 20 different ways. And they are all likely. You must prepare yourself. Right now everybody's talking about charity, we've got to get more charity, we've got to get more charity, Obama's, you know, trying to teach us how to be charitable. You know how we are charitable? We're the most charitable people on the planet. Do you know why? Because we're the richest people on the planet and we have personal responsibility. Because of the Constitution we can go and we can live our dreams, we can create. We can be a slug or we can be Bill Gates. If it wasn't for the Constitution, how many vaccines wouldn't be funded today because of Bill Gates? If it wasn't for the Constitution, could he have done what he did any place else? Could he have become that rich and given this much money to charity? How about the Huntsman cancer center? Because of the Constitution this man could become wealthy and then you get to choose. You want to do AIDS research, Haiti, you want to, you know, knit socks, whatever. It's up to you. It is an eight hour event. You and I on stage with three different experts. David Barton is going to be the first one and we're going to talk about the meaning of faith in America. All the lies that you have been told, that this isn't a nation of faith, that religion played no role. I'm you will be stunned when you learn and see the real history that is no longer taught. Hope. Hope comes from the truth. And you don't have the truth, you have false hope and that's what we have now. David Buckner will be joining me on stage to talk a little bit about the truth of the economy and how do you actually prepare because we need leaders. We need people that have something left to be able to lead us out. And charity. Faith, hope and charity. Charity comes from the individual. You do any kind of charity you want. You want to be charitable? Understand the Constitution. Judge Napolitano is going to be joining me for the third part of it and then you and I are going to have a talk afterwards. It's an eight hour event. You better bring a pencil. March 27th is the first event. It's at UCF Arena in Orlando. March 27th, UCF Arena. Then the Jobbing arena in Phoenix April 10th. Those are the only two days, if nobody comes those will be the only two dates. But those are the two dates that we have now. Orlando, UCF Arena, March 27th. April 10th at the jobbing arena in Phoenix. You can go to GlennBeck.com for all the details and tickets. Presale is this Wednesday at the Insider. Public sale starts a week from today, Monday, the 15th. And I want you to know we're not charging $500 a seat. It's usual ticket price, is it usual ticket pricing? Is that what we finally decided? Yeah. I wanted to make it as cheap as we could but then I was making all these things on stage more and more expensive and so we have usual ticket pricing. It's what we normally charge for a 90 minute show. This is an eight hour experience all day and you are going to, you come out with a binder full of stuff. It is really for the serious. If you are serious about, I want to be a leader in America, I know that we're unsustainable, I know that we have problems here and I can't sit by idly and tell my grandkids I did nothing. If you really want to learn and fix it, I have a direction for you. I'd like you to spend the day with me and commit yourself to reviving America. An American revival, details at GlennBeck.com.

“Give up money, give up fame, give up science, give the earth itself and all it contains rather than do an immoral act. And never suppose that in any possible situation, or under any circumstances, it is best for you to do a dishonorable thing, however slightly so it may appear to you... From the practice of the purest virtue, you may be assured you will derive the most sublime comforts in every moment of life, and in the moment of death.”

- Thomas Jefferson, 1785

Thomas Jefferson said a number of memorable things about the young country of America and what it truly meant to be an American, but the above sentiment holds a special meaning. It speaks not to our laws or freedoms, but to the noble character and human spirit that lies at the heart of our laws and freedoms. Jefferson is telling us that morality and honor should be cherished and preserved, for without them all else is lost.

Sadly, today Jefferson’s words fall on deaf ears in our halls of power, and the key to turning this country around lies in returning to the bedrock values that were instilled by our Founding Fathers and inspired by our creator. Glenn Beck’s American Revival is the beginning of that process--a daylong event with the goal of reviving Jefferson’s beliefs and your country. Through the lessons learned from our history and the real stories behind today’s headlines, Glenn and his guests will return your attention to the fundamental ideals of Faith, Hope and Charity to engage the your passion and show once and for all that it’s not “they the politicians” but we the people who have the power to restart the heart of America.

This event is unlike any other Glenn has ever undertaken—it’s a full day of Glenn Beck—he’s the explosive opener, the grand finale, and an integral part of every moment in-between. Of course, even Glenn needs to take a breath now and then. That’s why he’s proud to be joined for this landmark occasion by…

David Barton, founder of WallBuilders, an organization dedicated to presenting America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious, and constitutional heritage. David will speak to the importance of Faith, and America’s proud history as a religious nation.

David Buckner, an economist, and a professor of organizational leadership at Columbia University. David will focus on the economy, the importance of Hope, and the truth about the economy--what’s really coming and how to prepare yourself for the reality that’s being ignored by the mainstream media.

Andrew P. Napolitano, a former New Jersey Superior Court Judge and now a respected analyst on political strategy and Constitutional law. Andrew will address Charity, and how the preservation and strengthening of the Constitution is inextricably linked to the health and survival of our nation, as well as our ability to be charitable.

Glenn Beck’s American Revival has one goal in mind—to provide a place where you can find information, inspiration, and preparation. It’s really that simple. One day to help prepare you for all those that come after. Remember—this is and always has been a country by, of and for the people, and the most meaningful change has always come from the Faith, Hope and Charity of Americans just like you. We’ve got a long way to go to get America back on track, and every long journey begins with that first small step. Let’s take it together.
Fiscal Responsibility Held Hostage to Democrat’s Big Spending Agenda
During President Obama’s State of the Union address last week, I thought I heard him pledge to take a new direction – one of fiscal responsibility. However, since delivering that speech, the President proposed a $3.83 trillion budget plan that will result in another record deficit this year, and House Democrats passed the single largest debt limit increase in history. While I appreciate the promise of a new direction in Washington, the saying holds true, “making promises builds hope; keeping promises builds trust.”

As a certified public accountant, I understand the importance of considering both sides of the ledger, and Washington has a spending problem. So I appreciate the President’s proposed spending freeze of non-defense discretionary spending. But proposing a freeze that will only affect 13 percent of the budget months after signing into law legislation that has led to an 84 percent increase in non-defense discretionary spending over two years is not going far enough. In my weekly update last week, I asked you what you thought about President Obama’s proposed spending freeze, and 76 percent of those who answered the survey said that President Obama should rescind some of the spending increases from 2009.

For the third time in one year, our nation has reached its debt ceiling. Unfortunately, rather than tightening the federal government’s belt, yesterday the Democrat leaders in Congress pushed through a $1.9 trillion debt limit increase, bringing our nation’s new debt ceiling to $14,294,000,000,000. To make a bad situation worse, Democrat’s held fiscal responsibility hostage to their big spending agenda yesterday. In order to gain votes, they attached “pay as you go” budgeting restrictions to the debt limit increase. While I support the concept of pay as you go, the bill that passed the House yesterday was nothing more than a cynical political tactic to further a fiscally irresponsible agenda.

The spending habits in Washington are unsustainable. They are threatening our nation’s long-term stability, our national security, and they are burying our kids and grandkids under mountains of debt they should not have to pay back. Kansas families are struggling, and the policies coming out of Washington are making it harder on them. It’s time to stop making empty promises and start making sense.

Click here to watch my remarks after the Democrats passed the single largest debt limit increase in history.

NBAF Continues Moving Forward
For the past year I have worked very hard with my colleagues from Kansas and with the officials at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to ensure that NBAF is constructed in Kansas and that the project stays on track. I was pleased this week to learn that DHS intends to dedicate $40 million from previously unobligated funds to move forward with NBAF construction in Manhattan. NBAF is critical to the safety of our nation’s food supply and agriculture economy, and I will continue working to ensure we do not lose any speed on this critical project.

Tax Time Again
A representative from the Taxpayer Advocate Service stopped by my Washington office this week. Their office provides services to help answer any tax question or resolve disputes with the Internal Revenue Service. If you have tax questions please contact them at: http://www.irs.gov.advocate.

Spending Time in Kansas
The earthquake earlier this month in Haiti has left hundreds of thousands in need, and tomorrow I will participate in a benefit for all of those in need in Haiti. If anyone wants more information regarding the earthquake, please visit www.state.gov. Saturday I will also go to Holton to update the Holton Chamber on what I’ve been up to in Washington lately. Monday I will be speaking at the Kansas Motor Carriers Association annual meeting about what has been happening in Washington, and I look forward to hearing their concerns.

Please never hesitate to contact my Topeka office at (785) 234-5966 or my Pittsburg office at (620) 231-5966 if you have an event or meeting you would like to me to attend while I am home in Kansas each weekend.

FLEMING HEALTH CARE REFORM UPDATE
Update on H.Res 615: Call on Members of Congress to Enroll in the Public Option

Because you have previously contacted my office by email in support of H. Res. 615, my resolution calling on Members of Congress to enroll in the public option, I wanted to give you an update.

Like many of you, I am deeply concerned that Congress will press forward to enact an intrusive government administered health care plan, despite the higher costs and lowered level of care other countries with similar systems have experienced.

You will be pleased to know that more than 100 Members of Congress joined in support of H. Res. 615, my common sense measure calling on Members who vote for an intrusive government-administered health care plan to enroll in that system. Since launching this effort, nearly 3 million Americans like you have contacted my office in support of H. Res. 615. In response I offered an amendment to the Democratic Leadership health care bill to automatically enroll all Members of Congress and all Senators in the public option. Predictably, my amendment was rejected out of hand by the Majority and was not given a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Common sense seems to have failed us in the health care debate. That is why I offered a resolution asking Members of Congress to put their “money where their mouth is” and call for Members who support a public option lead by example and be required to enroll in the public option themselves. If a Member is willing to vote for such an option, why shouldn’t they enroll in it?

THE DOCTOR’S DIAGNOSIS: There is no doubt about it; health care in America must be reformed. The answer, however, is not an intrusive government administered health care plan. As a practicing physician for over 30 years, I am concerned that the kind of “reform” being debated back and forth on Capitol Hill will insert Washington bureaucrats between patients and their doctors, burden the middle class with new taxes, and raise insurance premiums for almost everyone. That is unacceptable “reform.” I will continue to work to represent you and to bring common sense back to this debate.
