Two Goats

Now that I left you hanging for a while. Sorry. A third red thread had been attached to the door of the temple gate. When the goat (scapegoat) died in the wilderness. This third red thread hanging on the temple gate, turned white. Showing that Isreal's sins had been forgiven. Isaiah 1:18 Come now & let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimsin, they shall be as wool. So once it turned white God saw the sacrifice was completed. Now we get to the crucifixion & why there was three crosses. JESUS was dying as the offering "For the LORD One thief died rejecting Christ & went to Hell (scapegoat) One thief changed while on the cross & his scarlet sins became as white as snow. I'll write more on this. In JESUS CHRIST, Rev. Londa Picard **NOTE: Azazel this was another name for satan

Two goat

Been doing a lot of studying on the two goats & the scarlet thread, The crucifixion, Hebrew or Jewish beliefs, & how the Old Testament & New Testament has inter-twianing meanings. The history of all of it. I also heard about the scapegoat. But, didn't know it came from the Old Covenvent from the pristhood or Yom Ha Kippor/Day of Atonement. Now the goats had to be identical in age, size, color, etc. The priest casted lots to see which goat would be burned on the alter & which goat would be the scapegoat. There was an gold engraved marker which read "For th e LORD" this goat was also marked with a long piece of scarlet thread around the right horn. Now this goat would die on the alter! The other goat was marked "Azazel" (they're not sure the meaning used in Leviticus 16:8-10) the scapegoat was also had a scarlet thread tied around its neck. The Priest then laid hands on this goat transferring the sin of Isreal on to the goat. The scapegoat was then lead out of the east gate of the temple & towards the wilderness, where the scapegoat would be pushed off the cliff & it died. As God did not want sin coming back into Jerusalem ! I will write more on this very soon. I hope you will enjoy the history. I sure do!! In CHRIST JESUS name. love, Rev. Londa Picard

The pretty one

The Pretty One Roger Dean Kiser It had been a very long night. Our black cocker spaniel 'Precious' was having a difficult delivery. I lay on the floor beside her large four-foot square cage, watching her every movement. Watching and waiting, just in case I had to rush her to the veterinarian. After six hours the puppies started to appear. The first-born was black and white. The second and third puppies were tan and brown in color. The fourth and fifth were also spotted black and white. "One, two, three, four, five," I counted to myself as I walked down the hallway to wake my wife, Judy, and tell her that everything was fine. As we walked back down the hallway and into the spare bedroom, I noticed a sixth puppy had been born and was now laying all by itself over to the side of the cage. I picked up the small puppy and laid it on top of the large pile of puppies, who were whining and trying to nurse on the mother. Precious immediately pushed the small puppy away from rest of the group. She refused to recognize it as a member of her family. "Something's wrong," said Judy. I reached over and picked up the puppy. My heart sank inside my chest when I saw the little puppy had a cleft lip and palate and could not close its little mouth. I decided right there and then that if there was any way to save this animal I was going to give it my best shot. I took the puppy to the vet and was told nothing could be done unless we were willing to spend about a thousand dollars to try and correct the defect. He told us that the puppy would die mainly because it could not suckle. After returning home, Judy and I decided that we could not afford to spend that kind of money without getting some type of assurance from the vet that the puppy had a chance to live. However, that did not stop me from purchasing a syringe and feeding the puppy by hand. Which I did every day and night, every two hours, for more than ten days. The little puppy survived and learned to eat on his own as long as it was soft canned food. The fifth week I placed an ad in the newspaper, and within a week we had people interested in all of the pups, except the one with the deformity. Late one afternoon I went to the store to pick up a few groceries. Upon returning I happened to see the old retired schoolteacher, who lived across the street from us, waving at me. She had read in the paper that we had puppies and was wondering if she might get one from us for her grandson and his family. I told her all the puppies had found homes, but I would keep my eyes open for anyone else who might have an available cocker spaniel. I also mentioned that if someone should change their mind, I would let her know. Within days, all but one of the puppies had been picked up by their new families. This left me with one brown and tan cocker as well as the smaller puppy with the cleft lip and palate. Two days passed without me hearing anything from the gentleman who had been promised the tan and brown pup. I telephoned the schoolteacher and told her I had one puppy left and that she was welcome to come and look at it. She advised me that she was going to pick up her grandson and would come over at about eight o'clock that evening. That night at around seven-thirty, Judy and I were eating supper when we heard a knock on the front door. When I opened the door, the man who had wanted the tan and brown pup was standing there. We walked inside, took care of the adoption details and I handed him the puppy. Judy and I did not know what we would do or say when the teacher showed up with her grandson. At exactly eight o'clock the doorbell rang. I opened the door, and there was the schoolteacher with her grandson standing behind her. I explained to her the man had come for the puppy after all, and there were no puppies left. "I'm sorry, Jeffery. They found homes for all the puppies," she told her grandson. Just at that moment, the small puppy left in the bedroom began to yelp. "My puppy! My puppy!" yelled the little boy as he ran out from behind his grandmother. I just about fell over when I saw that the small child also had a cleft lip and palate. The boy ran past me as fast as he could, down the hallway to where the puppy was still yelping. When the three of us made it to the bedroom, the small boy was holding the puppy in his arms. He looked up at his grandmother and said, "Look, Grandma. They found homes for all the puppies except the pretty one, and he looks just like me.” The schoolteacher turned to us, "Is this puppy available?" “Yes,” I answered. “That puppy is available.” The little boy, who was now hugging the puppy, chimed in, "My grandma told me these kind of puppies are real expensive and that I have to take real good care of it." The lady opened her purse, but I reached over and pushed her hand back down into her purse so that she would not pull her wallet out. "How much do you think this puppy is worth?" I asked the boy. "About a dollar?" "No. This puppy is very, very expensive," he replied. "More than a dollar?" I asked. "I'm afraid so," said his grandmother. The boy stood there pressing the small puppy against his cheek. "We could not possibly take less than two dollars for this puppy," Judy said, squeezing my hand. "Like you said, it's the pretty one." The schoolteacher took out two dollars and handed it to the young boy. "It's your dog now, Jeffery. You pay the man." Still holding the puppy tightly, the boy proudly handed me the money. Any worries I’d had about the puppy’s future were gone. The image of the little boy and his matching pup stays with me still. I think it must be a wonderful feeling for any young person to look at themselves in the mirror and see nothing, except "the pretty one."

Candy Cane

submitted by Laura Witcher Goldstein One of the most often seen symbols of Christmas is the candy cane. Not only are candy canes used as a sweet Christmastime treat but they are also used for decoration. How did this seasonal candy get its familiar shape, and when did it become part of Christmas tradition? When the practice of using Christmas trees to celebrate Christmas became popular in Europe the people there began making decorations for their trees. Many of the decorations were food items including cookies and candy. The predecesor of our modern candy cane appeared at about this time in the seventeenth century. These were straight, white sticks of sugar candy.Part of the Christmas celebration at the Cologne Cathedral were pagents of living creches. In about 1670 the choirmaster there had sticks of candy bent into the shape of a shepherd’s crook and passed them out to children who attended the ceremonies. This became a popular tradition, and eventually the practice of passing out the sugar canes at living creche ceremonies spread throughout Europe. The use of candy canes on Christmas trees made its way to America by the 1800’s, however during this time they were still pure white. They are represented this way on Christmas cards made before 1900, and it is not until the early 20th century that they appear with their familiar red stripes. Many people have given religious meaning to the shape and form of the candy cane. It is said that its shape is like the letter “J” in Jesus’ name. It is also in the shape of the shepherds’ crook, symbolic of how Jesus, like the “Good Shepherd” watches over his children like little lambs. It is a hard candy, solid like a “rock”, the foundation of the Church. The flavor of peppermint is similar to another member of the mint family, hyssop. In the Old Testament hyssop was used for purification and sacrifice, and this is said to symbolize the purity of Jesus and the sacrifice he made. Some say the white of the candy cane represents the purity of Jesus and his virgin birth. The bold red stripe represents God’s love. The three fine stripes are said by some to represent the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Others say they represent the blood spilled at the beating Jesus received at the hands of the Roman soldiers. From its plain early beginnings to its familiar shape and color of today, the candy cane is a symbol of Christmas and a reminder of the meaning of the holiday.

History of Christmas

The history of Christmas In ancient pagan times, the last day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere was celebrated as the night that the Great Mother Goddess gives birth to the baby Sun God. It is also called Yule, the day a huge log is added to a bonfire, around which everyone would dance and sing to awaken the sun from its long winter sleep. In Roman times, it became the celebrations honouring Saturnus (the harvest god) and Mithras (the ancient god of light), a form of sun worship that had come to Rome from Syria a century before with the cult of Sol Invictus. It announced that winter is not forever, that life continues, and an invitation to stay in good spirit. The first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere occurs between the 20th and 22 December. The Roman celebrated Saturnalia between 17 and 24 December. The early Christians To avoid persecution during the Roman pagan festival, early Christians decked their homes with Saturnalia holly. As Christian numbers increased and their customs prevailed, the celebrations took on a Christian observance. But the early church actually did not celebrate the birth of Christ in December until Telesphorus, who was the second Bishop of Rome from 125 to 136AD, declared that Church services should be held during this time to celebrate "The Nativity of our Lord and Saviour." However, since no-one was quite sure in which month Christ was born, Nativity was often held in September, which was during the Jewish Feast of Trumpets (modern-day Rosh Hashanah). In fact, for more than 300 years, people observed the birth of Jesus on various dates. In the year 274AD, solstice fell on 25th December. Roman Emperor Aurelian proclaimed the date as "Natalis Solis Invicti," the festival of the birth of the invincible sun. In 320 AD, Pope Julius I specified the 25th of December as the official date of the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas official, but not generally observed In 325AD, Constantine the Great, the first Christian Roman emperor, introduced Christmas as an immovable feast on 25 December. He also introduced Sunday as a holy day in a new 7-day week, and introduced movable feasts (Easter). In 354AD, Bishop Liberius of Rome officially ordered his members to celebrate the birth of Jesus on 25 December. However, even though Constantine officiated 25 December as the birthday of Christ, Christians, recognising the date as a pagan festival, did not share in the emperor's good meaning. Christmas failed to gain universal recognition among Christians until quite recently. In England, Oliver Cromwell banned Christmas festivities between 1649 and 1660 through the so-called Blue Laws, believing that Christmas should be a solemn day. When many Protestants escaped persecution by fleeing to the colonies all over the world, interest in joyous Christmas celebrations was rekindled there. Still, Christmas was not even a legal holiday until the 1800s. And, keep in mind, there was no Father Christmas (Santa Claus) figure at that time. Christmas becomes popular The popularity of Christmas was spurred on in 1820 by Washington Irving's book The Keeping of Christmas at Bracebridge Hall. In 1834, Britain's Queen Victoria brought her German husband, Prince Albert, into Windsor Castle, introducing the tradition of the Christmas tree and carols that were held in Europe to the British Empire. A week before Christmas in 1834, Charles Dickens published A Christmas Carol (in which he wrote that Scrooge required Cratchit to work, and that the US Congress met on Christmas Day). It was so popular that neither the churches nor the governments could not ignore the importance of Christmas celebrations. In 1836, Alabama became the first state in the US to declare Christmas a legal holiday. In 1837, T.H. Hervey's The Book of Christmas also became a best seller. In 1860, American illustrator Thomas Nast borrowed from the European stories about Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of children, to create Father Christmas (Santa Claus). In 1907, Oklahoma became the last US state to declare Christmas a legal holiday. Year by year, countries all over the world started to recognise Christmas as the day for celebrating the birth of Jesus. Have a merry Christmas Today, many of the pagan uses are reflected in Christmas. Jesus was born in March, yet his birth is celebrated on 25 December, the time of solstice. The Christmas celebrations end the 12th day of Christmas (6 January), the same amount of days that the return of the sun was celebrated by ancient and Roman pagans. It thus is no surprise that Christian puritans - or even conservative Christians - often are upset that Christmas "is not as religious as it was meant to be," forgetting that Christmas was not celebrated at all until fairly recently. The 25th of December is celebrated as the birth date of Jesus Christ. The Bible does not mention Christmas, and early Christians did not observe the birthday of Christ. Christmas as we know it became widely popular only in the 19th Century. Christmas starts on 25 December and ends 12 days later on 6 January with the Feast of Epiphany also called "The Adoration of the Magi" or "The Manifestation of God." The concept of "Peace and Joy" over the Christmas season originates from the pagan believe in the magical powers of mistletoe. Enemies meeting under a mistletoe had to call truce until the following day. In Finland and Sweden an old tradition prevails, where the twelve days of Christmas are declared to be time of civil peace by law. It used to be that a person committing crimes during this time would be liable to more stiff sentence than normal. An early Christmas card During the Middle Ages, many churches were built in honour of Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of children. Wearing his red and white bishop's robes, he would ride on a donkey to deliver gifts to children. In 1860, illustrator Thomas Nast introduced Santa Claus in the fashion we now know him. I hope you enjoyed the history of Christmas that I got off the internet. As Christians we celebrate Jesus day of birth on December 25. Please, remember why we do celebrate it. Remember Jesus & wish Him a very Happy Birthday. At our home we bake Him a cake & sing Happy Birthday before we start our Christmas Feast. God loved you enough to send Him only begotten son for you and me. Thank you God! We praise you for that!! In Jesus Christ Name: Amen Rev. Londa Picard

Passover Lamb Sacrifice

Passover Lamb Sacrifice You are here: Jesus Christ >> Learn More about the Lamb of God! >> Passover Lamb Sacrifice Passover lamb sacrifice - Was Jesus qualified? The Passover lamb was to be a male of the first year (first fruit) without blemish or spot, sacrificed according to God's specific instructions. Obedience to the instructions of the Lord regarding the sacrificial blood of the Passover lamb brought deliverance from the wages of sin and death for those within the house (Exodus 12). The lamb died in their place that they might be saved. At the time of God's choosing (Deuteronomy 16:7), Jesus, who was without spot or blemish (1 Peter 1:19), became the perfect Passover lamb sacrifice; meeting all the requirements set forth by God for a Passover lamb to fulfill the blood sacrifice requirement for the remission of sin (Hebrews 9:22). His blood sacrifice was made so that when we believe and obey; accept the substitutionary shedding of blood for our sins, we might be saved from the wages of sin and death. God made a way for mankind to enjoy Him forever, establishing a new covenant with man for the remission of sin, by giving us His son (Luke 22:19-20), the perfect Passover lamb sacrifice. Agnus Dei

Agnus Dei (ăg´ns dē´ī, än´ys dā´ē) [Lat.], the Lamb of God, i.e., Jesus. The lamb of the Passover sacrifice is said to prefigure the crucifixion. Isaiah calls the expected Messiah the Lamb of God, and Jesus is met by John the Baptist with the words, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world." In the Mass the Agnus Dei, or Lamb of God, is said or sung while the communion bread is being broken for distribution. It is usually the final movement of choral masses. In Anglican worship it is sung during communion. In iconography a lamb with halo and cross is called an Agnus Dei. I'm reading a book by Perry Stone "The Priesthood & the Blood" I looked up some information on the perfect Lamb and found out that the Samaritans still practice it as old of Moses. I found this on the internet. And thought you might like some information that I had found. I hope you enjoy it. The way they place the lamb to cook is on wood in shape as a cross. Rev. The Poem I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do. I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due. So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees. My Christian duty was now done My soul could rest at ease..... All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends, They'd laugh at me I'd fear. No time, no time, too much to do, That was my constant cry, No time to give to souls in need But at last the time, the time to die I went before the Lord, I came, I stood with downcast eyes. For in his hands God held a book; It was the book of life. God looked into his book and said 'Your name I cannot find I once was going to write it down... But never found the time' Now do you have the time ? This is a good poem, I don't know who it's written by Rev. Londa Picard

Good People

Good People.. Bad Presents! Been there, done that. I am a ‘good people’ who has bought bad presents. So with this Christmas season sneaking up on us I write today’s BP BUYER BEWARE!! There are just too many ways to go wrong. As a guy, I am starting to see little flags to BAD PRESENTS, but still at times do not even see them when waving in the wind (hidden) in plain sight. So here are a few tell tale signs of the in famous bad gift. This is not an exact science BUT rather a few good rules of thumb regarding GIFT BUYING DON’T’S. RULE 1 If it says ‘As Seen on TV’ on the box.. beware! It could be a greatdeal, but it could be the ROMCO Pocket Food Processor for only $19.99… and ifyou act now you will receive a free set of steak knives that (as demonstrated inthe ad) are so sharp they can cut through a Buick like butter! RULE 2 When buying Jewelry, buying in BULK is a bad idea. I once bought myvwife this collection of jewelry ( a special one time offer ) that if all thevpieces were linked together you use them as chains on your snow tires. My wifevwas gracious, but.. it is a point of amusement for her today. RULE 3 A personal gift should not be manufactured by Black & Decker. RULE 4 Diet, Exercise, Weight Loss, and/or Hair Removal products no matter how much any are needed are cautionary purchases from husbands to wives. RULE 5 Bad presents go both ways.. so don’t you ladies think everything you buy is a gem. Don’t confuse needed with wanted. We guys have feelings too…PULL MY FINGER. RULE 6 Flowers and the above mentioned jewelry are mysteries to me.. but are the way to a woman’s heart. At least this is what I am reminded of every birthday, Christmas, Valentines Day, and anniversary. So my rule of thumb here is .. when in doubt ask the lady salesperson. Well so there you have it. Another season of shopping moments of adventure and misadventure are just waiting to happen. In the end, it really is the thoughtthat counts, BUT.. a good present is really nifty too... and is considered good thinking. In summary, gift buying for.. Valentines Day, birthdays, anniversaries, and the moment a man pops the question are just like Christmas and all hold the risk of‘good intentions being bad presents’. My prayer this year as every year is that all men stay off THIN ICE while buying, and you ladies be merciful in the gifts you are about to receive (but may not have wanted). Oh Lord, grant us SHOPPING MERCIES and SHOPPING DISCERNMENT led by your Spirit. Amen, and amen, and Whew! May God bless your day, and Christmas season where presents received and given proper perspective and pale in importance when compared to celebrating the birth of Jesus. May we slow our minds and warm our hearts to this amazing time of year. May God bless us with the peace that passes all understanding while standing in line doing our Christmas shopping, trudging the winter wonderland, or stuck in rush hour traffic. Jeff I didn't write this either. Thanks Sis G Rev. Londa Picard

FRIEND OF THE FRIENDLESS I am often reminded of the words to the song that go: "What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear..." There are times in life when each of us has felt quite friendless, and this song is a precious reminder that when we feel abandoned by the friendship of others. Jesus is always our Friend, no matter what. People often ask me why the Lord is so real and so close to me. I really don't know how to answer that because I cannot remember not knowing Him and not having the experience of having the Lord to call on, just as you would call on a good friend. I don't know how to define in words how very real and close He is to me. If He were standing by my side in person, He couldn't be any more real to me than He already is. I feel His presence. He is my Friend and my life. He is my all. When people can't be trusted, when people disappoint you, Jesus is there ready to be a Friend to you. His friendship is like no other. His is a friendship wrought in blood, a friendship that can never fail. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). Yes, Jesus wants to be more real to you than any human friend will ever be. You see, He laid down His life for you, and He calls you, friend! Our Evening Prayer - Let's Pray Together… God loves you and wants to answer your prayer. Say this prayer with me: Dear Father, I desire the conscious presence of your Son Jesus in my life as this true Friend for which I long tonight. I thank you that this covenant friendship was purchased with the blood of Your Son on the cross at Calvary. I thank You that I never have to feel alone ever again. Thank you for being right here by my side, comforting and protecting me. In Jesus' Name, Amen. This was sent to me & I don't know who wrote it. Sorry that I don't know who the author is. Thanks Sis G for sending this. Rev. Londa Picard

Generational Blessings 2

Generational Blessing 2 Now we look to what happen with Isaac. Isaac gets everything that Abraham had, even the blessing! This is the second generational blessing Look at: Genesis 24:36 band to him he has given all that he has. There was a great famine in the land Genesis 26:12 - 13 12) Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him. 13)The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; Abraham was the first generation. Isaac was the second. Isaac was able to prosper even in time of a famine. Abraham didn't. So each generation gathers more then the before one if they fall God!! Since my Grandmother (Alma) started as the generation with blessing and being a Godly women. Her blessing was transfer to my mother, and then to me, my children will also be blessed. The blessing grows with each generation. Abraham, Isaac, and then to Jacob. Genesis 27:28-29 28) Therefore may God give you Of the dew of heaven, Of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of grain & wine. 29) Let peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, And let your mother's son bow down to you Laban was even blessed because of Jacob. Genesis 30:27 And Laban said to him, Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake" Genesis 30:30 For what you had before I came was little, & it is now increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you since my coming. And now, when shall I also provide for my own house. Jacob had nothing when he ran away from Esau because he stole the firstborn blessing. But, when Jacob returned after a twenty years absent. Jacob had three principles that he used in his life: 1) He worked hard for Laban, 2) Jacob was loyal to Laban even when Laban treated him wrong. 3) Jacob also knew that he was under a special covenant blessing from his father Abraham. Jacob was walking in that covenant relationship with God. Jacob just didn't wait around for his blessing. He worked very hard for Laban even when Laban tricked him, and did him wrong. He worked hard for it. Jacob had a vision on what he wanted and went for it. That is what we have to do. Stand on the New Covenant of God which God gave us through Jesus Christ. Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob worked hard! They had a dream and they went for it. A dream that God gave them. God gave Jacob a stronger covenant then Isaac. Isaac had a strong covenant then Abraham. Abraham is known as the father of faith. Jacob had twelve sons, and his sons became great and became the nation of Israel. Israel went undefeated until they sinned against God. Israel broke the covenant of God. Even today Israel has a blessing on it. I have a blessing. You have a blessing. It is a generational blessing!! God made this covenant with Abraham, Praise God the covenant is still in effect. Psalms 89:34 My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. His Blood covenant we have because of Jesus Christ our Lord. We need to stand strong on the New Covenant. STAND! & BELIEVE In Christ Name, AMEN Rev. Londa Picard

Turn the Knob for Jesus

It is possible to be standing on one side of a door and perceive the world as a dark and lonely place, while on the other side of that very same door are countless people just waiting to lend support and cheer you on. All that is required is that you turn the knob. "Author Unknown That is all God is asking you to do is turn the knob and get love, help, cheerfulness, forgiven of sin, His grace, His love, His eternal life. God is asking at the door of your heart. All that is required is that you turn the knob and let Him in. He wants to be part of your life

Generational Blessings 1

Generational BLESSING 1 My thinking of generational blessing was from my Grandmother Alma Lloyd. She has passed down the belief of God, a covenant God, a loving God, a God who is always there. She was like the women in Proverbs 31, that they will rise up and call her blessed. That is how my Grandmother was! It has been a long time since she went to be with the Lord! She made a wonderful impact on my life and my brothers and sisters lives as well. Then there was my daughter Melissa who was total care. Many people thought she was a curse. What I had done that she was like that. Melissa never was a curse but a blessing. And I thank God everyday that she was in my life!! You touched her and you could feel the REAL power of God in and through her life. So, satan wanted to use her as a curse; God used her for His Glory. Melissa also went to be with the Lord and now she is totally whole!! Now if curses can be passed down to the third & fourth generations, can you image how blessing are then passed down also! I'm the third generation, Melissa was the fourth generation. The blessing was there from my grandmother Alma. Her prayers for her child & grandchildren. Grandma was always praying for us. I never knew of a time she wasn't. I'm trying to pray for my children and grandchildren as much as she did. I should say for my whole family. Brothers, sisters, children, their spouses, and my grandchildren, & their future children & spouses. I have been so blessed. I could name the earthly blessing but, I would rather list the spiritual blessing. I walk in wholeness of Jesus Christ my Big Brother, walking in the Holy Spirit. Having peace & love because of the spiritual blessing. I am not perfect, I fall sometimes and guess who is there to pick me up. JESUS CHRIST. The Holy Spirit is my helper, just as Jesus & God said he would be. Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life. That there sustain my soul. Jesus said in John 14:16-18 16) "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another HELPER, that He may abide with you forever, 17) "even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18) "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you John 15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. Hebrews 13:6 So we may boldly say; The Lord is my helper; I will not fear, What can man do to me?" So, Jesus has told us He will not leave us orphans (John 14:18); He will give us another Helper He abide with us forever (John 14:16). And as Hebrews 13:6 the Lord is my helper & fear not as man cannot do to harm me. We're walking with the Holy Spirit & there are blessing with Him. I'm not saying that everything are all roses. You will have some hard times but, it hurts a lot less with the HELPER. We also, have other types of generational blessings. Look at Abraham, God promised him to make a great nation. Which means it had to go through different generations. Genesis 12:22) 22) I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3) I will bless those who bless you And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. That was a promise of God to Abraham, and we have been adopted into his house. Abraham had to wait almost twenty-five years for his promise. Most people would give up way before then. Abraham knew that God would keep His promise to him. In Christ Name, Amen & Amen Rev. Londa Picard

Jesus Birthday

Instead of Happy Holidays, we should say Happy Holydays. It's the time of year again, telling people Happy Holi-days. All you have to do is change the I to Y and you will have Happy Holy-days. We celebrate as Jesus Christ the Messiah Birth. But, do we?? Do you get up and tell Jesus Happy birthday? Do you bake Him a birthday cake? Do you celebrate Christmas as a Holy-day?? Just set back and really think why you celebrate this day. Just because most of the people do? That should not be your main reason to celebrate our Messiahs Birth. God so loved YOU that He gave His ONLY Begotten Son, That if YOU should believe in HIM, YOU should not perish but, YOU would have everlasting LIFE. **(John 3:16) Celebrate this Holy-day, Happy & thankful for Jesus Christ Birth!! OUR Saviour Jesus LOVES YOU!!!! Happy HOLY-DAYS, Merry Christmas Love, In Christ Rev. Londa Picard

The Church

This is something I needed to share... thank you for praying. Very early, this morning, I had a dream... I was at a church and there was a man there, who seemed familiar, that was raping and molesting the people in the church. There was great fear and torment and I remember hearing people weeping very loudly. Some of them looked at me and said, "Run, hurry, go and pray for us!" I turned and ran down a hall to the very back of the church building and there I fell on my hands and knees travailing in prayer for the church. I remember praying so hard that I actually thought that I was going to be sick. A while later, as I was in prayer, a young woman, with some small children, came up to me and asked if she could help me. I tried to explain to her what I was doing and why I was praying the way I was, but she didn't understand... she thought that something was wrong with me. Then I awoke from the dream finding myself covered with prespiration and praying, asking the Lord what the dream meant. As He began to speak to my heart my heart began to ache within me. This is what He said.... He spoke of the 'familiar man' that was molesting those in the church and told me that it was the devil and that he was using the things of this world to destroy them. That because he had become so 'familiar' to them that they had trusted him and now that he had their trust he was destroying them. Then the Lord spoke to my heart and told me, "My bride is impure, she is stained and blemished". He told me that the weeping that I had heard in the church was the crying of the innocent... the young whose blood is being shed... He explained that the young woman, with the small children, was the younger church of today and that, because of the lack of the preaching of the truth, including sin and hell, in the church that they do not know or understand God's truth. The last thing that He said to me was that some of us will stand before Him, one day, with the blood of the innocent on our hands.... Today, my heart is heavy... the Lord's heart is broken and how many of us are even aware of it? In His love, Connie This was sent to me by my sister Gerry. Thank You Rev. Londa Picard

Promises

Promises I will be using D.L. Moody book "Your Victory in Jesus". Mr. Moody shows a lot of insight that I have not even come close. I just cannot explain. He did a lot with his experience, the Holy Spirit really moved in his life. And reading his book, he talks about types of promises we have. Promises was for individual & to nations. Israel was one of the nations that God gave promises to. Other nations that stand with Israel would be under Gods protection also. The Israel enemy was beaten. And there were curses on them. Some promises has conditions to them. As the one helping Israel had. Others Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquities in my heart; the Lord will not hear me. Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun & shield; the Lord will give grace & glory; no good thing will be withheld from them that walk upright As Psalm 84:11 says you have to walk upright, not before men but walking upright before God. That is a big difference. We may not have the promises that Abraham had or even David. God gives us all different promises. The promises is what will bring glory to God. We get a lot of wonderful promises & He keeps them. If your heart is harden, & since your heart is out of wak. Take it to the maker and have it set correctly. Living with a harden heart isn't the best thing for you. Stand on the promises to get the heart un-harden. Matthew 11:28-30 28) Come unto me all you that labour, & are heavy laden, & I will give you rest. 29) Take my yoke upon you, & learn of me, for I am meek & lowly in heart; & you shall find rest unto your soul's. 30) For my yoke is easy, & my burden is light. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you. If people & churches would realize that casting ALL your care upon Jesus Christ/God it would make your life a lot easier and you can rest in the Lord!! Why do we always make it harder on ourselves? We would be victorious if we get out of our way and follow him. Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, & carried out sorrows; yet we did esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, & afflicted. God wants to carry our burdens, griefs, sorrow, addictions, take away our sin, to repair a harden heart, our sickness. For us not to carry those things which is our yoke. People will drop there yoke, when they come to church but, pick it back up going out the door. We should drop & keep going to never look back at those. Cast ALL your cares upon Jesus & leave them with Him!! Don't be like they were in John 5:40 And you will not come to me, that you might have life John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me, shall come to me; & him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. So, go to Jesus Christ; He promises that He will take ALL your cares & burdens!! Since we have such a promise as this; cling to it & never give up that promise. Follow the will of God. Entered into the Joy of the Lord. Take God's way & get REST!! In Christ Jesus Rev. Londa Picard

Checking In

I know a lot of people that are bring up the end times and how bad it's gonna get. Even non Christians are saying about how the United States is going down hill with unemployment, poverty levels going higher, companies going under, banks wanting more money, so on and so on. I know Jesus will be coming and coming soon. As Christians we shouldn't be worried about it. But, we should be in prayer about His second coming. Praying for our loved ones accepting Jesus and being able to enter the Kingdom of God. God made a way out for you and me or anyone who would believe. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him should not perish but, have everlasting life. And that way is only Jesus Christ. Not the Muslims god or Buddha or any gods but the one true God. God has always been around, he created us, so there is no other God. Yes, people have claimed that they were the Messiah. As history has pointed out to us it's the spirit of the anti-Christ. God made it simple for us to believe in Him. That there is a blood covering for our sins. We all need to believe in the New Covenant. His Word is the truth. And the truth shall make you free and it does. All we have to do is ask God to forgive our sins, that we have done wrong and we believe that He has forgiven our sin. Isn't that easy enough? Say with me: God, I have done wrong in my life, and I want you to forgive my sins. And come into my heart and make me become a NEW person in Christ. Confess that He has forgiven your sins. And you are a New person in Christ. Get a Bible and start reading it. Grow in His Love! It's a very wonderful filling!! To know without a shadow-of-doubt you are saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ. If you have prayed that prayer with me. Please, let me know. My regular email address is: lrpicard@gmail.com. God loves you and so do I. Rev. Londa Picard

A Different Christmas Poem

> > > A Different Christmas Poem> > >> > > The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight My wife was asleep, her head on my chest My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white Transforming the yard to a winter delight The sparkling lights in the tree I believe. Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve. My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep In perfect contentment, or so, it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't to near, But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear. Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow. My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, And I crept to the door just to see who was near. Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold. Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled, Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child. 'What are you doing?' I asked without fear 'Come in this moment, it's freezing out here! Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve. You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!' For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift, Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts To the window that danced with a warm fire's light Then he sighed and he said 'Its really all right, I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night.' 'It's my duty to stand at the front of the line That separates you from the darkest of times No one had to ask or beg or implore me, I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me. My Gramps died at ' Pearl on a day in December,' Then he sighed, 'That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers.' My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ', And now it is my turn and so, here I am. I've not seen my own son in more than a while, But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile. Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag, The red, white, and blue... an American flag. I can live through the cold and the being alone, Away from my family, my house and my home. I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet, I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat. I can carry the weight of killing another, Or lay down my life with my sister and brother.. Who stand at the front against any and all, To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.' ' So go back inside,' he said, 'harbor no fright, Your family is waiting and I'll be all right.' 'But isn't there something I can do, at the least, 'Give you money,' I asked, 'or prepare you a feast? It seems all too little for all that you've done, For being away from your wife and your son.' Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret, 'Just tell us you love us, and never forget. To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone, To stand your own watch, no matter how long. For when we come home, either standing or dead, To know you remember we fought and we bled. Is payment enough, and with that we will trust, That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.' PLEASE, would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S service men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us. LCDR Jeff Giles, SC, USN 30th Naval Construction Regiment OIC, Logistics Cell One Al Taqqadum, Iraq Thank you Brenda for sending this to me. And thank LCDR Jeff Giles for writing this and thank you so much for being one of our hero!!! May God Bless & keep you safe. All of us should pray for this hero & other heroes that has & is serving our country!!! Stand up for them as they are standing up for you. THANK YOU!!! Rev. Londa Picard

Jim Bramlett on Fox News Pastor Rick Warren

Powerful worldwide witness on FOX News Jim Bramlett Dec 4, 2008 Dear friends: Last night on FOX News' Hannity and Colmes program, Pastor Rick Warren was interviewed. He delivered a beautiful and simple explanation of the gospel which, with great wisdom, was in words that all the people of the world can understand, no matter what religion. It was an awesome proclamation of the gospel to a huge, diverse worldwide audience, no doubt orchestrated by the Holy Spirit. I will excerpt from the video: Warren and the two hosts were talking about Christmas, its origin, and the idea of gift giving, starting with the wise men who brought gifts to the baby Jesus. Warren took advantage of the topic and said, "God has given us a gift in Jesus Christ... People do not understand. It's for our benefit. The Bible says, 'For unto you is born this day, a Savior.' People may say, 'But I don't need a Savior,' but believe me, if people didn't need one, God would not have sent it..... Jesus meets every one of our deepest needs.... What we need to do is to accept this gift, have our past forgiven, have a purpose for living, and have a home in heaven." Devil's advocate (literally) Alan Colmes, said "But not everybody goes that route. I am Jewish." This is the typical ploy used by secular, non-believing TV hosts, trying to trip up the Christian guests or make them look stupid. I have seen many top Christian leaders stumble and give poor and unconvincing answers. Rick Warren handled it masterfully. Warren replied that Jesus did not come for Christians, but for everyone, naming those in several non-Christian religions, quoting the Great Commission of Jesus to “go into all the world.” He said Jesus Christ still loves you, no matter what religion you are. Still trying to trip him up, the advocate of the devil said again, "That's a wonderful message, but if you do not accept Jesus, can you find your way to heaven?" Warren wisely replied, "I am not the authority on that but I believe Jesus is. Everybody is betting his life on something. Jesus said, 'I am the way.' I am betting that He is not a liar. I am betting that He told the truth." Frustrated, the advocate of the devil replied, "But what about those people who do not accept Christ as their personal Savior?" Warren challenged, "This is the perfect time for people to open their lives and give Him a chance.... God wants people to love Him. God says, 'I've given you this gift of grace. You don't earn or work your way to heaven. That means you simply receive my gift.' That means we need to unwrap that gift God has given to us. Then your past can be forgiven, you have a purpose for living, and you can have a home in heaven." Persistent, the advocate of the devil tried again, "Can you have all those things in other religions too?" With great wisdom, Warren replied, "I don't see how that is possible. God didn't send 100 Jesuses. He didn't send a thousand. He sent just one." From http://www.foxnews.com/hannityandcolmes/ Praise God for Rick Warren. He has had many detractors but I have always seen that he has been a great witness for Jesus and the gospel. I have read his best-selling book, The Purpose Driven Life, and only disagreed with a very small part, and that was about biblical prophecy. Some "religious" people will still hate Rick Warren because in that extremely limited TV time he did not include all their religious hoops for people to have to jump through, but it was a magnificent summary of what God Himself says in John 3:16 and Ephesians 2:8-9. In every weakness; God will be your strength! Who needs His touch, remember He loves you! Because of God's love we have Jesus! He Jesus, was given to us! Do not harbor things in your hearts as this blocks the blessing of God! Forgive as God forgave you. Open up your heart & stop your critical heart! Do not criticize or judge others! God will judge you in the same way. Do not find fault or disapproval in/of others! Do not let your heart to become harden! Let the blood of Jesus cleanse you! Bring your unforgiveness to God & leave it with Him. God loves you and He wants to do so much for His children. Unforgiveness really stops the anointing of God in our lives. We can do so much! We have to forgive others! FORGIVE

I'm Flying by Roger Dean Kiser, Sr.

I'm Flying! Roger Dean Kiser, Sr. Once upon a time there was a little boy who was raised in an orphanage. The little boy had always wished that he could fly like a bird. It was very difficult for him to understand why he could not fly. There were birds at the zoo that were much bigger than he, and they could fly. "Why can't I?" he thought. "Is there something wrong with me?" he wondered. There was another little boy who was crippled. He had always wished that he could walk and run like other little boys and girls. "Why can't I be like them?" he thought. One day the little orphan boy, who had wanted to fly like a bird, ran away from the orphanage. He came upon a park where he saw the little boy, who could not walk or run, playing in the sandbox. He ran over to the little boy and asked him if he had ever wanted to fly like a bird."No," said the little boy who could not walk or run. "But I have wondered what it would be like to walk and run like other boys and girls.""That is very sad," said the little boy who wanted to fly. "Do you think we could be friends?" he said to the little boy in the sandbox."Sure," said the little boy.The two little boys played for hours. They made sand castles and made really funny sounds with their mouths. Sounds which made them laugh real hard. Then the little boy's father came with a wheelchair to pick up his son. The little boy who had always wanted to fly ran over to the boy's father and whispered something into his ear."That would be OK," said the man.The little boy who had always wanted to fly like a bird ran over to his new friend and said, "You are my only friend and I wish that there was something that I could do to make you walk and run like other little boys and girls. But I can't. But there is something that I can do for you."The little orphan boy turned around and told his new friend to slide up onto his back. He then began to run across the grass. Faster and faster he ran, carrying the little crippled boy on his back. Faster and harder he ran across the park. Harder and harder he made his legs travel. Soon the wind just whistled across the two little boys' faces. The little boy's father began to cry as he watched his beautiful little crippled son flapping his arms up and down in the wind, all the while yelling at the top of his voice,"I'M FLYING, DADDY. I'M FLYING!"

Romans 1:8 - 15

8) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. 9) For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without casing I make mention of you always in my prayers. 10) making request if, by some means, now of last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you. 11) For I long to see you that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established -- 12) that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you & me. 13) Now I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that I often planned to come to you (but was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles, 14) I am a debtor both to Greeks & barbarians, both to wise & to unwise 15) So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. Verse 12 really says a lot about encouraging you & me. That our faith be mutual for both of you & me. Not just myself. It's God's will that we gather together for each other even on the inter-net. We should worship together, To learn more about our Lord & Saviour. I know that I come to you all through modern technowledge; my prayers & thoughts are with you. God is a wonderful God!! With-out Him where would we be? The celebration of the birth of Christ in coming up before us. Please, keep the birth of our Lord Saviour & Redeemer in Christmas. Passing on the LOVE of God to others. May God Blessing you this Christmas Holiday & the New Year of 2009. In Christ Rev. Londa Picard

Speaking to the Mountain

How many times have we really spoken to our mountain? For our words are life and death look at: Proverbs 18:20-21 20) A mans belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. and John 6:63 It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life, So, if we speak the Word to our Mountain; it should become as the Bible says LIFE and to bring that mountain down. Speak it out and speak it with faith, Be BOLD and speak to that mountain!!! You speak enough of the mountain that you have. So start speaking to the mountain. You have the word to use against your mountain! So, search the Word and find your promise of it and use it. Mark 11:23-24 23) For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith, shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24) There fore I say unto you, What things so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. When you pray, pray in an audible voice. So, your soul/body will hear it also. When you speak about your victory, speak faith and do not doubt. Pray until you get a release. Now Jesus prayed twice for the blind man in Mark 8:22-25 22) And he commeth to Bethsaida, and they bring a blind man unto Him, and besought Him to touch him; 23) And He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town, and when He had spit on his eyes, & put His hands upon him, He asked him, if he say ought. 24) And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. 25) After that He put His again upon his eyes, and made him look up; and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. Jesus prayed for the blind twice, the first time the sight was partly restored, it wasn't because Jesus didn't have enough faith. He wanted the blind man totally healed. So, Jesus prayed until it was and the blind man was able to see clearly! So, pray until you feel a release. How long shall we pray until we have peace and inner assurance that God is moving on your behalf. Not until it happens but, until you feel an inner assurance about it, then give Thanks for it. Remember once you feel the release then change your prayers over to Thanksgiving. Stop asking start praising for the answer. That is where the faith comes in. You may not see it still for a while; Abraham didn't see his son right off. In Daniel 10; you see that Daniel was hindered for twenty-one days, three weeks. Daniel received nothing about discern able answer to his prayer, but Daniel continued to hold on and kept his petition before God, until he got his answer. Now you may experience the same thing until you begin to pursue God's promises and you get your personal inner assurance. A) WRITE DOWN YOUR ASSURANCEB) SPEAK YOUR ANSWERC) PRAY UNTIL YOU HAVE A RELEASED) THANK GOD FOR THE ANSWER Philippians 4:6-7 6) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made know unto God. 7) And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts & minds through Christ Jesus. DON'T JUST SAY WORDS, FIND SCRIPTURE TO STAND ON - PROMISES OF GOD PRAY IT OUT LOUD, IN A AUDIBLE VOICE PRAY UNTIL YOU HAVE A RELEASE SPEAK YOUR ANSWER DON'T RESIST THE HOLY SPIRIT PRAYING THROUGH YOU. GIVE THANKS TO GOD FOR YOUR ANSWER, AND DON'T WAVER, OR BE DISCOURAGED! AMEN & AMEN In Christ Jesus Rev. Londa Picard

Blood Covenant 2

Even in the Holy of Holies, the most high place of God; you cannot enter without blood. As Andrew Murray says "the way to fellowship with God is through the blood alone. What did Jesus Christ teach about the Blood? John the Baptist spoke of a dual purpose of the coming Messiah. John 1:29,33 29) The next day, John seen Jesus coming unto him, & saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh (beareth) away the sin of the world. 33) And I knew him not; but he that sent me to baptise with water, the same said unto me, upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, & remaining on him, the same is he which baptized with the Holy Ghost As you see the out pouring of the blood (lamb of God) had to come first before the baptism of the Holy Ghost. John 3:35, 48, 51 35) And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me, shall never hunger; & he that believeth on me, shall never thirst. 48) I am that bread of Life. 51) I am the living bread, which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever & the bread, that I will give, is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. One fact we should know that eternal life can be ours ONLY through the SHEDDING OF BLOOD. The perfect unblashem lamb of God. Jesus Christ. Never forget this fact. Jesus last night on this earth was given the Last Supper, He broke bread with the twelve. Look at John 3:35, Jesus is the living bread. Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministred unto, but to minister, & to give his life a ransom for many. Matthew 26:27-28 27) And He took the cup, & gave thanks, & gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it: 28) For this is my blood of the new Testament (covenant), which is shed for many for the remission of sin. We should look at what a blood covenant is. I'm getting this on line about the blood covenant: "Covenant in Hebrew is beriyth (ber-eeth') in the sense of cutting; a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh); - confederacy, (con-)feder(-ate), covenant, league. The covenant is an agreement sealed by blood. It is based on trust, unlimited responsibility, & cannot be broken. It is a binding together of two separate individuals into one. In each covenant there is a vow made, an interweaving of identity, a sign or mark & the shedding of blood. It's a promise between the agreeing parties that is irrevocable."

It depends whose Hands it's in

Hands!! A basketball in my hands is worth about $19. A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million. It depends whose hands it's in. A baseball in my hands is worth about $6. A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $475 million. It depends on whose hands it's in. A tennis racket is useless in my hands. A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions. It depends whose hands it's in. A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog. A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea. It depends whose hands it's in. A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy. A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon. It depends whose hands it's in. Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches. Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands. It depends whose hands it's in. Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse. Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will Produce salvation for the entire world. It depends whose hands it's in. As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in. So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because... It depends whose hands it's in. I don't know who the author is on this. My brother Larry sent it to me. Thank you Rev. Londa Picard

Our Childhood in Black & White

Our Childhood in Black and White. I think you'll enjoy it. Whomever wrote this, described childhood to a T. Hope you enjoy it. Black and White (Under ag e 40? You won't understand.) You could hardly see for all the snow, Spread the rabbit ears as far as they go. Pull a chair up to the TV set, 'Good Night, David. Good Night, Chet.' My Mom used to cut chicken, chop eggs and spread mayo on the same cutting board with the same knife and no bleach, but we didn't seem to get food poisoning. My Mom used to defrost hamburger on the counter AND I used to eat it raw sometimes, too. Our school sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper in a brown paper bag, not in ice-pack coolers, but I can't remember getting e-coli. Almost all of us would have rather gone swimming in the lake instead of a pristine pool (talk about boring), no beach closures then. The term cell phone would have conjured up a phone in a jail cell, and a pager was the school PA system. We all took gym, not PE .. and risked permanent injury with a pair of high top Ked's (only worn in gym) instead of having cross-training athletic shoes with air cushion soles and built in light reflectors. I can't recall any injuries but they must have happened because they tell us how much safer we are now. Flunking gym was not an option even for stupid kids! I guess PE must be much harder than gym. Speaking of school, we all said prayers and sang the national anthem, and staying in detention after school caught all sorts of negative attention. We must have had horribly damaged psyches. What an archaic health system we had then. Remember school nurses? Ours wore a hat and everything. I thought that I was supposed to accomplish something before I was allowed to be proud of myself. I just can't recall how bored we were without computers, Play Station, Nintendo, X-box or 270 digital TV cable stations. Oh yeah .. and where was the Benadryl and sterilization kit when I got that bee sting? I could have been killed! We played 'king of the hill' on piles of gravel left on vacant construction sites, and when we got hurt, Mom pulled out the 48-cent bottle of Mercurochrome (kids liked it better because it didn't sting like iodine did) and then we got our butt spanked. Now it's a trip to the emergency room, followed by a 10-day dose of a $49 bottle of antibiotics, and then Mom calls the attorney to sue the contractor for leaving a horribly vicious pile of gravel where it was such a threat. We didn't act up at the neighbor's house either because if we did, we got our butt spanked there and then we got our butt spanked again when we got home. I recall Donny Reynolds from next door coming over and doing his tricks on the front stoop, just before he fell off. Little did his Mom know that she could have owned our house. Instead, she picked him up and swatted him for being such a goof. It was a neighborhood run amuck. To top it off, not a single person I knew had ever been told that they were from a dysfunctional family. How could we possibly have known that?We needed to get into group therapy and anger management classes? We were obviously so duped by so many societal ills that we didn't even notice that the entire country wasn't taking Prozac! How did we ever survive? LOVE TO ALL OF US WHO SHARED THIS ERA, AND TO ALL WHO DIDN'T; SORRY FOR WHAT YOU MISSED. I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING. I don't know who wrote this and so far nobody else does either. It's true.

Blood Covenant 1

The blood covenant was first done by Abel. Abel did this by faith of his first acceptable sacrifice, the first worship, the first blood that was shed. A burnt offering. Genesis 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstings of his flock, & of the fat thereof; & the Lord had respect unto Abel, & his offering; Hebrew 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice then Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; & by it he being dead, yet speaketh. This shows that without the sacrifice blood there isn't a way to God. No fellowship, no power, no joy of worshiping the Lord, nothing but, of the sacrificed blood. Then you see Noah after the flood. The first thing Noah does is to give a sacrifice of blood. A burnt offering. Then you have Abraham; the test of Abraham giving up his most precious belonging as a sacrifice. His son, Isaac. Abraham knew that he had to have sacrifice & shedding of blood. God had a covenant with Abraham, that Abraham would be the father of a Nation - Israel. So Abraham took Isaac to sacrifice him to God. God saw that Abraham would give up his precious son. So, God provided a blood sacrifice of a lamb. Then you have Moses and you see the Israelites having blood on their door frame. That saved the Israel first Born's from being killed. That when the angle of death went through Egypt the angle would pass over the blood & not touch that house hold. Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the house where you are; & when I see the blood, I will pass over you, & the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. There had to be blood & again a substitute was used instead of the their own blood being she-dded. Hebrew 9:7 But into the second went the high Priest alone once every year, not with-out blood, which he offered for himself & for the errors of the people. As it said NOT WITH-OUT BLOOD. A blood covenant was made once Moses and the Israelites reached Sinai, Exodus 24:8 And Moses took the blood & sprinkled it on the people, & said, Behold the blood of the Covenant which the Lord hath made with you, concerning all these words. So, with the shedding of the Blood here the covenant has power & foundation. And by the shedding of blood; God & man can have a fellowship with each other as the blood has removes the sins of man. A blood Covenant is still done today. What is yours is mine and what is mine is yours. So, what is God is mine & what's mine is God's. God wanted to dwell among Moses & Israel. So He had them to build a sanctuary that he may dwell among them. Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. Can you imagine God living among you? That you can find Him & serve Him in His house. You knew God was there!! You can have that today also, by believing in God's word. Jesus was our covering of the Blood Covenant. by Rev. Londa Picard

Prophecy

Dear Brother & Sister in Christ, For the last few weeks the Lord has been compelling me to sit down and write about some of the things that He has revealed to me over the last few years. To be honest I have been hesitant to share them because of their content, but as the days have gone by and I see the signs of the final hour all around, I know that it is time for me to do what He is leading me to do. I have shared some of what I will write here with a few of you… some of it you have heard before from others and I know that it will be confirmation to a lot of you. But, it burns within me and I must speak it… I will be as brief and to the point as possible. Late into the night, about six and a half years ago, the Lord woke me several times speaking, “It is the eleventh hour”. I wrestled with this all night long not knowing for sure what He meant. You see I had never heard the expression ‘eleventh hour’ before that night. The next day when I shared it with my pastor he opened up his Bible to Matthew, chapter 25, verse 6, and read, “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the Bridegroom is coming; go out to meet Him!’ It was suddenly very clear to me what the Lord had meant… It was a very sobering moment for me. Two years later, I was sitting and reading in the Old Testament how God allowed Israel to be taken captive by Babylon, something that I have read many times before. Suddenly, through the Holy Spirit and before my eyes, America became Israel and it was revealed to me that America would soon come under the captivity of Babylon just as Israel had. It was so strong, so powerful, that I immediately began to weep and felt very sick to my stomach. I felt as if I had been hit by a train… and was bent over in unbelievable anguish. I went to Jim to try and tell him what I had seen and was weeping so hard that I could barely speak. Today, as I watch the events in the world around me, I remember what was revealed to me and pray and ask the Lord if there is any way that things can be turned around… if this great nation can be saved…. Spared… is there a way? One morning, about three years ago, as I was in prayer I had a vision and it was as real as anything that I have ever seen. As it began I started to shake my head trying to make it stop until I realized what it was. My fear subsided and I allowed the Holy Spirit to have His way. I began to see great battleships and the sky full of different jets and planes…. Hundreds of them…. There were army tanks of all kinds… many, many implements of war were everywhere. Than I stood in a place that was barren, a virtual wasteland… as far as my eye could see there was nothing, total desolation. It looked like a great desert…. There was what appeared to be a piece of a building jutting up out of the sand, here and there. The sky was black with thick heavy smoke… there was no sunlight at all. As I stood there I saw a great trench where soldiers were hiding. I remember that they were very frightened and one of them, with his rifle in his hand, rose up out of the trench as if to run. And as he did I could hear the screams of the men…. As I looked up to see what they were so frightened of I saw a great bird-of-prey swooping down from the sky… The last thing I remember seeing were a pair of eyes, ancient eyes, watching it all from the heavens…. But I believe that what I saw was Armageddon. I do not know why the Lord revealed it to me… but it was real. I have held this in my heart up until now. Then, about two years ago, the Lord woke me early in the morning and told me that someone was going to come and visit me that day. I was so excited and got up early and got to work cleaning and straightening my home. I worked quickly wanting to make sure that everything was ready for my company. A little after noon I sat down and waited still excited believing that someone was coming for a visit. But, after a while I began to wonder what was going on. No one had come. Was I wrong, did I misunderstand the Lord? I was so sure that I had heard Him correctly. Suddenly, the room began to fill with His sweet presence… I was quickly overwhelmed and felt such joy at knowing that He was right there with me! It was He that had come to visit me!! He, my Lord, my King, was the visitor!! I sat there in His beautiful presence with tears flowing down my face and it was then that He opened my eyes and I caught a glimpse of the Throne Room. It was glorious!! I saw that there was preparation being made. There was a great deal of hustle and bustle, as if things were being done at a very fast pace. I only saw it for just a brief moment and then it was gone. I sat there for a bit, silently going over what I had seen. Then I asked the Lord if what I had seen was preparation for his return. He answered and said, “No, that what I had seen was preparation for our (His Church’s) Homecoming…” Needless to say, I rejoiced!!!!! We are truly in the ‘Eleventh Hour’ the signs are all around us, and it is time to make sure that we are where we are supposed to be, in Him. We are not to fear, for He has promised that no matter what is happening, whatever comes to be, if we are where we are suppose to be in Him that He will care for us and our needs will be met. I only ask one thing, that you read this prayerfully and with openness to the Holy Spirit. These things were revealed to me for a purpose and not for me to keep forever closed up in my heart. I have felt compelled of the Lord for many days to not be afraid and to open up and share it… and, so I have. It is an exciting time to be a Child of God… each day we are seeing the prophecy of the Bible being fulfilled. Though there may be days of great trial, and things may get tough, we can rest assured that it is Jesus our Lord and Savior that is in control and through it all that He is on the Throne. In His love, Connie

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY! 'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!' Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.' Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world. (It's worth a try!) One Nation Under God.

What God Hath Promised

What God Hath Promised Annie Johnson Flint God hath not promised Skies always blue, Flower-strewn pathways All our lives through; God hath not promised Sun without rain, Joy without sorrow, Peace without pain. But God hath promised Strength for the day, Rest for the labour, Light for the way, Grace for the trials, Help from above, Unfailing sympathy, Undying love.

The Touch of the Master's Hand by Myra Brooks Welch

The Touch Of The Master's Hand Myra Brooks Welch It was battered and scarred, And the auctioneer thought itHardly worth his while To waste his time on the old violin,But he held it up with a smile."What am I bid, good people", he cried, "Who starts the bidding for me?" "One dollar, one dollar, Do I hear two?""Two dollars, who makes it three?" "Three dollars once, three dollars twice,Going for three". . . but no! From the room far back a gray-haired man Came forward and picked up the bow; Then wiping the dust from the old violin, And tightening up the strings, He played a melody, pure and sweet, As sweet as an angel sings. The music ceased and the auctioneer With a voice that was quiet and low, Said "What now am I bid for this old violin?" As he held it aloft with its bow. "One thousand, one thousand, Do I hear two?""Two thousand, Who makes it three?""Three thousand once, three thousand twice, Going and gone", said he. The people cheered, but some of them cried, "We do not quite understand. What changed its worth?" Swift came the reply: "The touch of the Master's hand." And many a man with life out of tune, And battered and scarred with sin, Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd Much like the old violin. A "mess of pottage," a glass of wine, A game and he travels on,He's going once, and going twice -He's going - and almost gone! But the MASTER comes, and the foolish crowd, Never can quite understand, The worth of a soul, and the change that's wrought By the touch of the MASTER'S hand. I love this!!!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Quotes

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven played music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. American Civil Rights Leader Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Quotes

Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question,'Is it politic?' But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?' And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because conscience tells one it is right. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, quality, and freedom for their spirits. I believe that what self-centered men have torn down, other-centered men can build up. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream. In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up. Martin Niemoeller (1892-1984)

Mark Copfer Prophecy

Mark Copfer (8 Nov 2008) "This is a must read NOW! EXCITING" Scott Walkington experienced a life after death experience. We have talked with him on several occasions and he spoke at our church. When he speaks, he is very articulate and he gives details that would be difficult to relate if this experience had not been real. Jesus gave Scott seven events that were to happen before the rapture. (1st Thes. 4:13-17; 5:1-4.) The following is Scott's thoughts on the past election. The fulfillment of the following will be the verification of whether Scott had a dream or his life after death experience was real. Whatever happens, this is definitely a time for Christians to pray for our families and our nation. Joyce Prophecy Date: Thu, 6 Nov 2008 00:46:57 -0600 Dear friends in Christ, Before I start, let me make this statement ... I'm just a messenger, nothing more, nothing less. Many of you asked in the past year or so who might be elected the next president, based on the Seven Signs that Jesus gave me in my heaven experience. And I answered that Obama's campaign seemed to match many of the issues that Jesus promised in this next candidate. I would have liked to shared this prophecy back then, but I did not want it to look like a political advertisement. So I chose to write about this AFTER the election. I can also tell you that this presidential election based on my heaven experience is prophecy being fulfilled. We're just one more milestone closer to the rapture. Just remember...except for local elections, last Tuesday's election was the LAST presidential election we will ever experience before the rapture. There will be no more! Isn't that exciting? Here is what's yet to happen. 1. Coming in January (inauguration) ... Due to a "problem", Obama will NOT be sworn in as the next president. He will never take that office. Why? I don't know. This is the missing piece to the puzzle. We must wait in anticipation to see whatever this "problem" might be. 2. Bush will be forced to extend his presidential term until this "problem" can be resolved. Remember, Jesus told me, "The president you know right now (meaning Bush) will be the last president you will know at the time of the rapture." 3. Violence will erupt within our nation due to this "problem". What might this be? Rioting? Demonstrations? Terrorism? We will wait and see. 4. Jesus told me, "Your troops will be brought home from around the world, but this does not mean peace." Then my minister, Rev. John Rice, (in heaven) said, "When this happens, stay off the airplanes, the trains and the interstate highways. If you must cross a river, use a less traveled bridge or a ferry. When driving, use as many back roads as possible." Then Jesus told me, "Your nation will need all the help it can get to defend itself." 5. World War III will erupt. All the nations will turn against this nation, blaming Bush for this "problem", but by the time the world realizes that Bush was not to blame, it will be too late. 6. Missiles will be dropped on cities on the east coast, then the west coast, making 9/11 look very minimal. 7. Then by the time we see missiles and fighter jets flying above us in all directions right here at home and you feel like it can't get any worse than this, that's when you know the rapture is about to take place. Our nation will lose this war badly. It will be the end of the United States. At this time the one world government and the Antichrist will take over. All these things I learned from my heaven experience. Jesus also told me, "These are all in God's plan. As horrible as these events may seem, these events must happen in order for the rapture to take place. But you must fear not, for as you see these things happen, you must realize these are merely milestones as we get closer to the rapture. Just do your works as normally as you possibly can. Then when this time comes, I will call you and everyone else on My list, in the twinkle of My eye, just that fast." Let me finish by saying, I'm just a messenger, nothing more, nothing less. God bless, Scott This prophecy I do believe. I had an experience of Obama. I know many many Europeans hate Bush not Obama, and I can see the world blaming Bush. It's always someone else for the world to blame the United States for everything as they already are. PRAY for the United States, We have murder the unborn, corruption in our Government, UN-GODLYNESS RUNNING RAMP IT, & so much more. It only takes time before God allows judgement to come to the United States. I know that this prophecy is not trying to pass hatred around but, information to us. Lift your voices to God, all Christians and pray for a revival for our land, our families, our friends. ARE YOUR LOVED ONES IN?? In CHRIST Thank you Love Rev. Londa

Cell Phone VS. Bible

Cell phone vs. Bible Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone? What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we flipped through it several time a day? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn ' t live without it? What if we gave it to Kids as gifts? What if we used it when we travel ed? What if we used it in case of emergency? This is something to make you go....hmm... Where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don ' t have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. Makes you stop and think, where are my priorities? And no dropped calls! Trust in the Lord and *ASAP (Always Say A Prayer) Have a blessed and wonderful day! I think this is really good. Dad sent it to me. Thanks Dad!!! Love Rev. Londa Picard

Paul's Persecution

Paul's Persecution Paul went through a lot because of his beliefs of Jesus Christ. Preaching about Jesus Christ. He preached healing & he healed the disable and the sick. Paul was in Romans prison, Jews ran him out of their synagogues. How many of us could live through a stoning like Paul did, Acts 14:19Then Jews from Antioch & Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. Paul had conflict with some over customs and being saved. Acts 15:1-2 1) And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved 2) Therefore, when Paul & Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul & Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question. Now we turn to the Bible for our answers. If it isn't there it is a custom not of the Bible. If it was of the Bible the Bible would say it correct? Paul even had the wind tear up the boat he was in. In Chapter 27 of Acts, talks about his trip to see Caesar in Roman. Then on that trip a very poisonous snake and the snake fastened on his hand Acts 28:3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, & fastened on his hand. Paul just shook off the snake and suffered nothing from it. That is in Acts 28:5 Paul was able to overcome every area of the persecutions and hindrance. And came back even stronger then before. And Paul wrote to churches from prison and gave us a great deal of the New Testament. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness" Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. How many of us could go through things like Paul did? I've been through some things but not like Paul. With the world today there is a hatred towards Christians that is growing and growing and Radical Muslims hate us like there is no tomorrow. And soon we may have a radical muslin president. So we maybe where Paul was in the prison for our beliefs. Don't laugh just wait and see. The reason I used Paul is because he was a regular person like you and me. Most people say the only way Jesus Christ went through things He was the Son of God. Even Jesus went through things and yes, He is the Son of God. But, He wasn't any different then you and me. He went through a lot, Jesus died for our sins He shed His Blood for us. The lamb without blemish. At the very end God hurt so much and could not look at mans sin that God turned His face away from Jesus. Jesus raised from the dead. So, will we as Christians. NOTE: I am not preaching hatred towards Muslims. Not all Muslims are bad, the Radical Muslims are. Just like we have different Christians who make Christians have a bad name, also. They say they're Christians but, Jesus has no hatred. AMEN & AMEN (so, be it) Rev. Londa Picard
