American History

I've been doing a study of Christianity in the United States History. I found some interesting information on it. It started in the early 1600's in Scrooby, England. It was when William Bewster, Richard Clifton, & William Bradford wanted to sperate from the Church of England. These men started reading the Bible, instead of somebody saying what was in the Bible (this was after King James the First wrote the King James Verson of the Bible). They became the Separatist who practice Christianity according to their own determination & not the will of the English Church. They tried to practice there beliefs in England but, the Church would not allow it. They even went to another country, that was against the law. You couldn't leave England without permission. They came back then to England and tried then to go to America. They recieved permission to go. They got permission and land to go. So the Separatist hired two ships to take them the Speedwell & the Mayflower The Speedwell didn't leave England as the crew did damage to the ship, they had to get on the the Mayflower. Not all of the Separatist didn't get to go. The land granted from the Crown to the London Virginia Co. at the mouth of the Hudson River. They did not land at the mouth of the Hudson River but North of there. We know it as Massachusetts. Since all the people on the Mayflower weren't the Separatist/Pilgrams group there was a contract drawn up; which is the Mayflower Compact signed by the Separatist & the Captian of the Ship on November 11th, 1620. The Separalist wanted their own Goverment. This is the first govering document of the Plymouth Colony. The Mayflower Compact led to; Fundamental Order's of Connecticut (1638) Instrument of Goverment (1638) Declaration of Independence (1776) Constitution (1776) Bill of Rights (1791) Federalist Papers (1787 - 1788) Emancipation Proclamation You know the rest of the story plus, I've put some e-mail address to get the whole story. The first Thanksgiving took place, we right now have the freedom of religion. Plus, the documents we have listed above. The United States was formed on the belief of God! Do some reshearch on it. Don't just take my word. The Separalist/Pilgrims fought for the right to worship God. Don't let the goverment take it all away from us. Speak up when your rights are being taken away. Rev. Aluminum Foil

I had to go into the kitchen and check this out for myself. Whoever looks at the end of your aluminum foil box? You know when you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time. Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box and written on the end it read: Press here to lock end.Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can't count the number of times the Saran wrap roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up. I'm sharing this with my friends. I hope I'm not the only person who didn't know about this. unknown author

Upside Down Economics By Thomas Sowell Thomas Sowell is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institute and author of Basic Economics: A Citizen's Guide to the Economy. From television specials to newspaper editorials, the media are pushing the idea that current economic problems were caused by the market and that only the government can rescue us. What was lacking in the housing market, they say, was government regulation of the market's "greed." That makes great moral melodrama, but it turns the facts upside down. It was precisely government intervention which turned a thriving industry into a basket case. An economist specializing in financial markets gave a glimpse of the history of housing markets when he said: "Lending money to American home buyers had been one of the least risky and most profitable businesses a bank could engage in for nearly a century." That was what the market was like before the government intervened. Like many government interventions, it began small and later grew. The Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 directed federal regulatory agencies to "encourage" banks and other lending institutions "to help meet the credit needs of the local communities in which they are chartered consistent with the safe and sound operation of such institutions." That sounds pretty innocent and, in fact, it had little effect for more than a decade. However, its premise was that bureaucrats and politicians know where loans should go, better than people who are in the business of making loans. The real potential of that premise became apparent in the 1990s, when the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) imposed a requirement that mortgage lenders demonstrate with hard data that they were meeting their responsibilities under the Community Reinvestment Act. What HUD wanted were numbers showing that mortgage loans were being made to low-income and moderate-income people on a scale that HUD expected, even if this required "innovative or flexible" mortgage eligibility standards. In other words, quotas were imposed -- and if some people didn't meet the standards, then the standards need to be changed. Both HUD and the Department of Justice began bringing lawsuits against mortgage bankers when a higher percentage of minority applicants than white applicants were turned down for mortgage loans. A substantial majority of both black and white mortgage loan applicants had their loans approved but a statistical difference was enough to get a bank sued. It should also be noted that the same statistical sources from which data on blacks and whites were obtained usually contained data on Asian Americans as well. But those data on Asian Americans were almost never mentioned Whites were turned down for mortgage loans more often than Asian Americans. But saying that would undermine the reasoning on which the whole moral melodrama and political crusades were based. Lawsuits were only part of the pressures put on lenders by government officials. Banks and other lenders are overseen by regulatory agencies and must go to those agencies for approval of many business decisions that other businesses make without needing anyone else's approval. Government regulators refused to approve such decisions when a lender was under investigation for not producing satisfactory statistics on loans to low-income people or minorities. Under growing pressures from both the Clinton administration and later the George W. Bush administration, banks began to lower their lending standards. Mortgage loans with no down payment, no income verification and other "creative" financial arrangements abounded. Although this was done under pressures begun in the name of the poor and minorities, people who were neither could also get these mortgage loans. With mortgage loans widely available to people with questionable prospects of being able to keep up the payments, it was an open invitation to financial disaster. Those who warned of the dangers had their warnings dismissed. Now, apparently, we need more politicians intervening in more industries, if you believe the politicians and the media.
Lightning Strike! February 26, 2009 By Joe Farley I¹m your average, rough-around-the-edges, tough-skinned, middle-aged guy. Iwas saved from a life of drugs and alcohol, but for the past 29 years wascontent to live a complacent Christian life. I went to church every Sundaybut was very skeptical when people would testify about miracles of healing. That was until Aug. 2, 2008, when my life was changed forever. It was a Saturday morning just like any other. My brother-in-law Dan wasvisiting from Virginia. We went to a nearby golf course early that morning. The weather predictions were promising heavy afternoon rains, but I figuredwe¹d be on and off the course before it started. By 10 we were approachingthe seventh hole when the clouds rolled in, not enough to deter us fromplaying on. Foolishly, I turned to Dan and said, ³If we get hit by lightening, it¹s ourtime to go.² The winds began to pick up and the rain began to fall lightly. In thedistance I heard thunder. Then a whistle alerted golfers to leave thecourse. Immediately the rain began to come down in sheets, and the wind brisklypicked up its force. Dan suggested we go back to the clubhouse. I wanted totake cover under a tree nearby because I was sure it would blow over. Therewere two trees approximately 50 yards apart. Dan checked the trees for priorlightening damage. Feeling pretty safe, he decided to use the outhouselocated nearby. As Dan began to make his way back to where I was standing, he saw lightningstrike my head and deflect from what looked like a shield covering my head, shattering in three different directions. Immediately, Dan was thrownforward, having been shocked from the aftereffect. He looked up to see metake a step back and slump backwards against the tree. Dan says I did notfall straight back, but it was if someone caught me and gently laid meagainst the tree. Scrambling to get to my side, Dan took my pulse. It was very weak. He liftedmy arms up and they were limp. Then I passed out and Dan could get no pulseat all. He dragged me into a clearing and began to do CPR. I came back. Notknowing what to do next, Dan propped me against himself and just prayed andbegged me to stay with him. Dan began to whistle for help. After the third attempt, four men rushed overfrom a pavilion approximately 200 yards away and helped bring me safely tothe pavilion. One of them called 911. Dan ran back to the spot to retrievemy wallet and cell phone. That¹s when he saw my baseball cap lying on theground with a five-inch hole burned through it. An ambulance took Dan and me to St. Luke¹s Hospital. My wife, mother-in-lawand sister-in-law arrived just as I was transferred to the trauma center¹sICCU. They were not prepared for what they saw. The doctor told them my painwas off the charts. I should not have survived the hit. The trauma unit hadnever had a survivor of a lightening strike of this magnitude. It went inthrough my head and out through my side. My family watched as I lay crying out in pain and convulsing. This went onfor hours. Heavier and heavier doses of pain meds were administered. Myfamily surrounded me and prayed. Hours went by and nothing changed. Dawn, mywife, stayed with me. Our son, Joey, was on his way and they had notifiedour daughter, Jacinda, who was serving in the Air Force. My church familyand friends were alerted to pray. Extensive scans and tests indicated I had been dead for 61Ž2 minutes. Thefirst miracle was that I had no brain damage. Meanwhile, Dan went back to my in-laws to sleep. He woke up early Sundaymorning and was sitting on the couch praying and asking God what was it thathe saw over my head deflecting the lightning. Dan sensed Jesus telling him,³It was my nail-pierced hand, and I only allowed what went through mynailed-pierced hand to touch Joe.² Dan felt a peaceful, comforting presence. He was able relay the amazing miracle of God¹s protection he witnessed tofriends and family. He called me that afternoon to tell me. On Monday morning the doctor unplugged the IVs administering the pain medsin order to help me out of bed. My body immediately began to convulse. Verydiscouraged, she hooked me back up and explained to my wife it would be avery long process. She prepared my wife for months of physical, speech andoccupational therapy. At 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning I experienced the miracle that changed my lifeforever. I was awakened out of a deep sleep. I was wide awake. I feltSomeone standing next to me on the left side of my bed. He said, ³Get out of bed; You have been healed.² I did not hesitate. I knew it was Jesus. I unplugged my oxygen and IVs,threw off the blankets and got out of bed. I did not have one twitch ortremor. But when I unplugged myself, the alarms went off and the doctor oncall came running in. ³What¹s going on in here?² he asked. ³Doc,² I said, ³we¹re going for a walk. Jesus came and told me I washealed.² The doctor did not think this was a good idea, but I told him I was goingfor a walk with or without him. So we went for a walk around the traumaunit, came back and he hooked me up again. We repeated this again at 6 inthe morning before he went off his shift. At 8 that morning, the doctor who put the staples in my head and had seenthe dismal progress just a day earlier came in. ³Hi, Joe. How are you doing today?² she asked with some discouragement. ³I¹ll show you how I¹m doing,² I said. I jumped out of bed. ³Let¹s go forawalk.² We walked around once with me holding her hand. When we got back to the roomI said, ³I¹m not done. Let¹s go around again.² On the second lap around Ilet go of her hand and said, ³Do you know how to do the two-step?² ³The Texas two-step?² she asked. ³Yes, let¹s go.² And we two-stepped. The doctor was astonished. ³What¹s going on?² she asked. ³Did you get anysleep last night?² ³Yes,² I replied, ³up until 3 in the morning. That¹s when Jesus came to meand told me I was healed. When we get back to the room I want you to checkall my vitals and the staples in my head. I think they can come out.² ³Oh, no,² she replied. ³They need to stay in for at least 10 days.² ³No, I want you to check them,² I insisted. She agreed, checked all my vitals and looked at the staples. All my vitalswere perfect ‹ and my staples came out. Shortly after that, the head doctor for the trauma unit came in bearinggifts. I knew immediately that he wanted my burned hat. ³Doc, you want my hat, don¹t you?² I asked. ³Yes,² he admitted. ³We have a showcase as you enter the hospital for itemsthat are unexplainable, and I would like to put it on display.² I didn¹t give up my hat, and the doc had to settle for pictures. I was released just three days after being struck. They tell me I¹m thefirst in the history of St. Luke¹s Hospital to go home straight from thetrauma unit. I would have walked out of the hospital, but their policystated I needed to be put in a wheelchair. They wheeled me down and I jumpedout of the chair and got into the van and headed home. I don¹t know why Jesus chose me. The power in the bolt that hit me wouldhave blown apart a tree. Yet, here I am. I¹ve learned that when Jesus comesto you, He changes your life forever. I have never been a crier, not even asa child. But now I cannot hold the tears back when I mention Jesus¹ name. I¹m going out and telling my story to whomever will listen. Mostly it¹s beenhard-core people who do not know Jesus. I¹ve always been content to walkinto church and take a backseat. Now I feel like I should be doing something‹ preaching, talking to someone, encouraging someone. I tell people atchurch, ³Leave your Bibles open. Jesus isn¹t finished with you yet. He isstill doing miracles. It¹s still being written in each of our lives.² Face it, I was dead and was raised up. I don¹t know what else to say. I am aliving, breathing miracle, and only Jesus can take the credit. ‹ Joe Farley lives in Easton, Pa., and attends Bunnvale (N.J.) Community AG.(Endorsed by Pastor Michael Pignaloso Jr.)

THE LORD AND THE BLONDE A blonde wanted to go ice fishing. She'd seen many books on the subject, and finally getting all the necessary tools together, she made for the ice. After positioning her comfy footstool, she started to make a circular cut in the ice. Suddenly, from the sky, a voice boomed "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE" Startled, the blonde moved further down the ice, poured a thermos of cappuccino, and began to cut yet another hole. Again from the heavens the voice bellowed, "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE." The blonde, now worried, moved away, clear down to the opposite end of the ice. She set up her stool once more and tried again to cut a hole. The voice came once more, "THERE ARE NO FISH UNDER THE ICE." She stopped, looked skyward, and said, "IS THAT YOU LORD?" The voice replied, “NO, THIS IS THE MANAGER OF THE HOCKEY RINK.”

His Manifested Power 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 4) And my speech & my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit & of power, 5) that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Let us set our sights high & refuse the tradition of men. Set our goals higher into the wisdom of God. How can the human wisdom come even close to the power of God's wisdom. It doesn't even come close. The power & wisdom of God, it is sent through the Holy Spirit. For us to have Gods manifested of His power, His wisdom than we should be baptized in the Holy Spirit. I know people say that being baptized in the Holy Spirit isn't for today. Some even goes as far saying that being baptized of the Holy Spirit is satan because it is all emotional. No, it is not emotional; it is of God & IN HIS POWER, it is the One whom Christ said that He must go for the Holy Spirit to come & be our helper!! It is like regular baptism where you die to self & raise up & be a new creature in Christ. That being baptised in the Holy Spirit is where God gives you His power to use. This is a manifestion of God's Power in our life. It gives us a boldness, power of God, We need to quit having a low standard of us be Christians. We put Him on, on the outside of ourselves just doing What Would Jesus Do (WWJD), We need Him on our inside!! We perform the kind deeds, that Jesus did. Did we do it out of Love out of the boldness of God's power inside us. The secret of Christianity is not in the doing, it's in the being, A possessor of the nature of Jesus Christ. We need to be Christ in character, demonstration, & the agency of transmission. Now when a man gives His life to Jesus Christ/God & becomes a child of God, a Christian is a CHRIST-Man. Everything he says, or do; should be done, as coming forth as Jesus Chirst. You become as Christ both inside & outside. Not just the outware but doing the Manifested Power of God. God's Will. Letting the Holy Spirit to fully baptized you in the power that Jesus had to leave for. That we can have this power. One of the secrets of God's power is to abide in the perfect leading of the Holy Spirit. Walking in God's power will bring victory and jealousy of others. As the jealous people will want that victory, that power of God!! Walk in the perfect Love, Power, & being of God!! Doing the Lord's Supper is the reinactment of Christ's last supper. We follow this but, we really need to know the meaning that Christ had done. Matthew 26:26-29 26) And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed it & broke it, & gave it to the disciples & said, "Take, eat; this is My body." 27) Then He took the cup, & gave thanks, & gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you." 28) "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29) "But I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's Kingdom." We are taking in Christ when we do this!! Jesus has sanctified the church, The church is you & me!! So, we are sanctified in the covenant of the Manifested Power of God. Luke 24:49 "Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power on high." Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; & you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, & in all Judea & Samaria, & to the end of the earth". How can the nature of man be changed except that nature is first revealed? The heart of man must first be purged by holy fire & washed from every stain by cleasing blood. So there arises in the heart the desire & prayer for the Spirit of God to eject, Crucify, & destroy every tendency of opposition to the Holy Spirit. He who would understand the ways of God must trust the Spirit's power to guide & keep. The working of the Spirits's power answer that attainment of him who overcomes. In him the joy & power of God shall be. Through him the healing streams of life shall flow. We should be baptized in the Holy Spirit & speak with tongues. For the edifcation of the church & one self as Christ has lead us to. AMEN & AMEN, So Be It. Rev. Londa Picard

Cemetery Duty I just wanted to get the day over with and go down to Smokey's. Sneaking a look at my watch, I saw the time, 1655. Five minutes to go before the cemetery gates are closed for the day. Full dress was hot in the August sun. Oklahoma summertime was as bad as ever--the heat and humidity at the same level--both too high. I saw the car pull into the drive, '69 or '70 model Cadillac Deville, looked factory-new. It pulled into the parking lot at a snail's pace. An old woman got out so slow I thought she was paralyzed; she had a cane and a sheaf of flowers--about four or five bunches as best I could tell. I couldn't help myself. The thought came unwanted, and left a slightly bitter taste: 'She's going to spend an hour, and for this old soldier, my hip hurts like hell and I'm ready to get out of here right now!' But for this day, my duty was to assist anyone coming in. Kevin would lock the 'In' gate and if I could hurry the old biddy along, we might make it to Smokey's in time.I broke post attention. My hip made gritty noises when I took the first step and the pain went up a notch. I must have made a real military sight: middle-aged man with a small pot gut and half a limp, in marine full-dress uniform, which had lost its razor crease about 30 minutes after I began the watch at the cemetery.I stopped in front of her, halfway up the walk. She looked up at me with an old woman's squint.' Ma'am, may I assist you in any way? ' She took long enough to answer. ' Yes, son. Can you carry these flowers? I seem to be moving a tad slow these days. '' My pleasure, ma'am. ' Well, it wasn't too much of a lie.She looked again. ' Marine, where were you stationed? '' Vietnam, ma'am. Ground-pounder. '69 to '71. 'She looked at me closer. ' Wounded in action, I see. Well done, Marine. I'll be as quick as I can. 'I lied a little bigger: ' No hurry, ma'am. ' She smiled and winked at me. ' Son, I'm 85-years-old and I can tell a lie from a long way off. Let's get this done. Might be the last time I can do this. My name's Joanne Wieserman and I've a few Marines I'd like to see one more time. '' Yes, ma 'am. At your service. ' She headed for the World War I section, stopping at a stone. She picked one of the flowers out of my arm and laid it on top of the stone. She murmured something I couldn't quite make out. The name on the marble was Donald S. Davidson, USMC: France 1918 . She turned away and made a straight line for the World War II section, stopping at one stone. I saw a tear slowly tracking its way down her cheek. She put a bunch on a stone; the name was Stephen X.Davidson, USMC, 1943 . She went up the row a ways and laid another bunch on a stone, Stanley J. Wieserman, USMC, 1944 .She paused for a second. ' Two more, son, and we'll be done. 'I almost didn't say anything, but, ' Yes, ma'am. Take your time. 'She looked confused. ' Where's the Vietnam section, son? I seem to have lost my way. 'I pointed with my chin. ' That way, ma'am. ''Oh!' she chuckled quietly. ' Son, me and old age ain't too friendly. ' She headed down the walk I'd pointed at. She stopped at a couple of stones before she found the ones she wanted. She placed a bunch on Larry Wieserman, USMC, 1968 , and the last on Darrel Wieserman, USMC, 1970 . She stood there and murmured a few words I still couldn't make out.' OK, son, I'm finished. Get me back to my car and you can go home. 'Yes, ma'am. If I may ask, were those your kinfolk? ' She paused. ' Yes, Donald Davidson was my father, Stephen was my uncle, Stanley was my husband, Larry and Darrel were our sons. All killed in action, all Marines. ' She stopped. Whether she had finished, or couldn't finish, I don't know. She made her way to her car, slowly and painfully. I waited for a polite distance to come between us and then double-timed it over to Kevin, waiting by the car. ' Get to the 'Out' gate quick. I have something I've got to do. 'Kevin started to say something, but saw the look I gave him. He broke the rules to get us there down the service road. We beat her. She hadn't made it around the rotunda yet.' Kevin, stand at attention next to the gatepost. Follow my lead. ' I humped it across the drive to the other post. When the Cadillac came puttering around from the hedges and began the short straight traverse to the gate, I called in my best gunny's voice: ' TehenHut! Present Haaaarms! 'I have to hand it to Kevin; he never blinked an eye--full dress attention and a salute that would make his DI proud. She drove through that gate with two old worn-out soldiers giving her a send-off she deserved, for service rendered to her country, and for knowing duty, honor and sacrifice.I am not sure, but I think I saw a salute returned from that Cadillac. Instead of ' The End ,' just think of ' Taps. ' As a final thought on my part, let me share a favorite prayer: ' Lord, keep our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas. Hold them in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us. ' Let's all keep those currently serving and those who have gone before in our thoughts. They are the reason for the many freedoms we enjoy.'In God We Trust.' Sorry about your monitor; it made mine blurry too! If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under! You are required to pass this on NOW !!! Author unknown

Some people want to see God with their eyes as they see a cow, and to love Him as they love their cow-for the milk and cheese and profit it brings them. This is how it is with people who love God for the sake of outward wealth or inward comfort. - Meister Eckhart

As Christians today, why are we allowing a smaller minority to run our country? Our Country the United States of America was founded on the belief of one God. They do not teach that information in the schools. You can go to the inter-net and find it. Even Christians preachers today, they don't teach the Word of God. They will believe verses like John 3:16 but they don't believe in the Fruit of the Spirit, Gifts of the Spirit, walking in love. Which every one is in the Bible. We cannot just believe one verse and then say the others aren't for today. Then that means John 3:16 must not be right. You need to believe the whole Bible. That means from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22:21 to AMEN. Where does the whole bible come from then. It comes From OUR LORD GOD. God gave us the bible as a instructional Holy Book. If you leave our half of the instructions how will you finish your live the way God planned it? That your life and my life would be so much better. Filled with HIS Power, HIS Glory, His plan for us to have a good life. Yes, we will have ups & down. At least we would be on the correct road to heaven. It's better to please God then mankind. We need to stand up for what is right. You don't like people stealing from you; is that not correct. Then why do we let Satan steal our inheritance of God?? We shouldn't lose our inheritance. God has blessed His people! We as Christians are His Children.! Please, think about the bible and that it is written by the hand of our LORD GOD! What wonders does it hold for us. What blessings? What comfort? Knowledge? And the best one that fulfills the LAW. L O V E. To walk in that love. And yes remember JOHN 3:16-18. Our God reigns! If God is for us then who can be against us. He stands with us! AMEN Love Rev. Londa Picard
Sitting on top of riches Jim Bramlett Feb 15, 2009Dear friends: The other day I told the story of old Joe, a homeless man who lived under a bridge, but was worth $100 million and didn't know it. He was the major beneficiary in a rich relative's will and was never made aware of it. I compared old Joe with many Christians who are not aware of the riches they have in Christ and are living in spiritual poverty.Later I remembered a similar story told by the late Dr. Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade International, who went to be with the Lord in 2003. From one of his daily devotions, I will let him tell you about it himself....Jim________________________________________________________ Sitting On Top of RichesBill BrightDuring the Depression, a man named Ira Yates was living in poverty, unaware that he was one of the richest men in the world. He owned a large sheep ranch, and due to his poverty, he was in danger of losing it, because he could not afford to pay the interest on his bank loan and his property tax. One day an oil company gained Mr. Yates' permission to drill a wildcat test well, believing there was a rich reservoir of oil on the property. Soon they discovered the one of the largest oil pools in the world. Although he was a billionaire, Mr. Yates had lived for years in poverty. The day he purchased the land he received with it all the oil and mineral rights. It was all his, but he didn't know the oil was there, and thus he lived in great need. I do not know of a better illustration for the Christian. Like Mr. Yates, many Christians are ignorant of their rights and resources and as a result are living in spiritual poverty. Actually, there are two great tragedies in history: (1) that many have rejected God's Son and all the incalculable riches that accompany our adoption by God through Him; and (2) many have chosen to trust in Christ for their eternal salvation but live a life of spiritual poverty, ignorant of their inheritance, in this life and beyond. If you are a believer, don't be like Ira Yates and sit in ignorance on top of your riches in Christ, while living in spiritual poverty! Scripture: "So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom" (Luke 12:32). Bible Reading: Ephesians 1:3, 18; 3:8; Philippians 4:19; James 4:2-3; Prayer: "Thank you, Father, for the glorious riches we have in Christ, free to us but paid for with His own precious blood. He is worthy of all praise."

Law Of The Garbage Truck One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital! This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.' He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it! Have a blessed, garbage-free day! The seeds you plant today, determine the harvest you reap tomorrow.

FOCA

You are receiving this email because you signed the FightFOCA petition. If you feel you have received this email in error, please accept our apologies. You may unsubscribe at this link Dear Londa, As you may have heard, Congress has not yet introduced the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). That's because the pro-abortion forces have heard your voice. Planned Parenhood President Cecile Richards told the Wall Street Journal: We're going to be smart and strategic about our policy agenda to bring people together to make progress for women's health. The Freedom of Choice Act is very important . . . but we have a long list of things to get done that I think can address problems immediately that women are facing, that are really immediate concerns. In other words, because of the more than 650,000 people like you who have stood up to Fight FOCA, pro-abortion forces are focusing on another tactic for now -- FOCA-by-Stealth. They want to try to pass pieces of FOCA under your nose. The first target is your pocketbook. The top priority for Planned Parenthood and their pro-abortion allies is to repeal the laws that prohibit federal funding of abortion. Often called pro-life "riders," the pro-abortion forces want House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to eliminate them and start using our tax dollars to pay for abortion-on-demand . . . nationwide. Thankfully, a bi-partisan group of Members of Congress are standing up to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood (who used to work for Speaker Pelosi). A letter to Speaker Pelosi written by Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio and Democrat Congressman Heath Schuler of North Carolina is being circulated for signatures by Members of Congress. Please ask your member of Congress to sign the Jordan/Schuler letter. Just click this link. The deadline is this Friday, February 13. Yours for Life, Charmaine Yoest, Ph.D.President & CEOAUL Action The Legislative Arm of Americans United for LifeFightFOCA.comFightFOCA@FightFOCA.com P.S. -- A PDF of the letter is available at the AUL Action blog. Please ask your member of Congress to sign it before Friday!

Love fulfillment of the Law

I know a lot of people are talking about the end times. If we put our trust in God and His Word, We shouldn't have the panic that is going through the Christians. We need to be right before God not man. But, we're putting our trust in man. Is mankind the creator of this world? No,! Is mankind right before God? No,! Does mankind know right from wrong? It sure doesn't seem like it! I've been just as guilty. God & I have been talking. He has shown me where I've missed it. I'm sorry that I put my trust in mankind and not OUR LORD & SAVIOUR. I'm sorry that I may have mislead you on some of the information that I placed in this ministry. I ask for your forgiveness on this!! Please, forgive me. As a Minister & a Christian I need to put ALL my trust on God. Follow His purpose that He has for me. God has set laws for us. Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens & so fulfill the law of Christ Philippians 2:2 fulfill my joy by being like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Romans 13:8-10 8) Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he loves another has fulfilled the law. 9) For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," : You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet,: and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" 10) Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law!! Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law & the Prophets. Also, look at Luke 6:31, Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. These are all in the New Testament (New Covenant) Also, blessing come. James 1:25 But he who looks into perfect law of liberty & continues in it, & is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. James 2:12 So speak & so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty Liberty: meaning in Greek from (Strong's G 1657) freedom, - legitimate or licentious, chiefly moral or ceremonial, liberty In 90% of the law is meant to be principle, also of the Gospel, is law used this way I know most of you believe your not under any law, but love fulfills the law. God set this into action. Look at John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Yes, we are covered by the Blood of our LORD, if we as Christians live like everyone else; who would want what we have. But, if we life like the BIBLE says to live, everybody would want what we have in the Blood of our LORD!! Nobody is perfect. I'm not I've had to say I'm sorry to you a few times. I missed it. God showed me the right/correct way to be. Love your neighbor as yourself!! And that Love is the fulfillment of the LAW!

Peroxide

~ Did you know this about Peroxide ~ This was written by Becky Ransey of Indiana (a doctor's wife), and I want to share it with you. She was over recently for coffee and smelled the bleach I was using to clean my toilet and counter tops. This is what she told me:I would like to tell you of the benefits of that plain little ole bottle of 3% peroxide you can get for under $1.00 at any drug store. What does bleach cost?My husband has been in the medical field for over 36 years, and most doctors don't tell you about peroxide. Have you ever smelled bleach in a doctor's office? NO!!! Why? Because it smells, and it is not healthy! Ask the Nurses who work in the doctor's offices , and ask them if they use bleach at home. They are wiser and know better!Did you also know bleach was invented in the late 40's? It's chlorine, folks! And it was used to kill our troops. Peroxide was invented during WWI in the 20's. It was used to save and help cleanse the needs of our troops and hospitals. Please think about this: 1. Take one cap full (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe.) No more canker sores, and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash. 2. Let your toothbrushes soak in a cup of peroxide to keep them free of germs. 3. Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray it on the counters. 4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria. 5. I had fungus on my feet for years until I sprayed a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and let dry. 6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not heal with any medicine but was healed by soaking in peroxide. 7. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep it in every bathroom todisinfect without harming your septic system like bleach or most other disinfectants will. 8. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture whenever you have a cold, plugged sinus. It will bubble and help to kill the bacteria. Hold for a few minutes, and thenblow your nose into a tissue. 9. If you have a terrible toothache and cannot get to a dentist right away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly. 10. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the 50/50 solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not have the peroxide-burnt blonde hair like the hair dyepackages but more natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, faddish, or dirty blonde. ** It also lightens gradually, so it's not a drastic change. 11. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils fungus, or other skin infections. 12. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing pour it directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit for a minute, then rub it and rinse with cold water. Repeat if necessary. 13. I use peroxide to clean my mirrors. There is no smearing, which is why I love it so much for this.I could go on and on. It is a little brown bottle no home should be without! With prices of most necessities rising, I'm glad there's a way to save tons of money in such a simple, healthy manner! This information really woke me up. I hope you gain something from it, too. I've known that with an infection, a bit of peroxide on that will fizz and help to cure the infection. I've also known that if you had a dog that's flea infested, a bit of peroxide in it's bath water will kill them immediately. But never thought of all the above uses. It is a very useful bottle to have in your home. Number 13 is how hotels clean their sheet, towels to remove the blood stains

When We Die We have The Master

~DEATH~ WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO EXPLAIN IT . A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to Leave the examination room and said, 'Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.' Very quietly, the doctor said, 'I don't know.' 'You don't know? You're, a Christian man, and don't know what's on the other side?' The doctor was holding the handle of the door; On the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, And as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room And leaped on him with an eager show of gladness. Turning to the patient, the doctor said, 'Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, And when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, But I do know one thing... I know my Master is there and that is enough.' This is very wonderful to really know that our Master is on the other side with open arms. He loves His Children!

Comedy In Washington

Comedy in Washington Jim Bramlett Feb 2, 2009 Comedy in Washington I don’t know whether we should laugh or cry about what is going on in Washington in the name of “change.” But I think we should keep our sense of humor and just laugh! Check these out: An admitted tax cheat, Timothy Geithner, was named to head the IRS, to set the example for all of us. Former Senator Tom Daschle, nominated to be Obama's Secretary of Health and Human Services, also has tax evasion problems. A slick Clinton lawyer, Eric Holder, who got a felon pardoned, was named Attorney General, charged with enforcing the law. Due to severe cold, snow and ice, ex-VP Al Gore almost missed his testimony before Congress to warn about the dangers of global warming. (650 climatologists say the earth is cooling and not warming.) A man believed to be born a Muslim in Kenya, raised a Muslim in Indonesia, and a close associate of an unrepentant terrorist, is now President of the U.S. For his first TV interview, he chose a Muslim, terrorist-supporting TV network. This man is now charged with our security! The new President’s wife, over whom the media are slobbering, says America is a mean country and she has never been proud to be an American. Such an inspiration! That is in spite of America giving her an elitist education at Princeton, even after mediocre test scores. (Spell that d-i-s-c-r-i-m-i-n-a-t-i-o-n.) Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid insists that the U.S. income tax is voluntary! You won’t believe this, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7mRSI8yWwg And now for the funniest thing of all…. On January 29, 2009, ultra-partisan House Speaker Nancy Pelosi firmly announced that she is non-partisan! (You can roll in the floor laughing now.) Stay tuned. More fun coming!

Revelation 12:10-12 (NKJ)

10) Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation & strength, & the kingdom of our God, & the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day, & night, has been cast down. 11) "And they overcame by the blood of the Lamb & by the word of their testimony, & they did not love their lives to the death. 12) "Therefore rejoice, O heavens, & you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth & the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, becauce he knows that he has a short time", WOW!! The ACCUSER has been CAST DOWN!!! Satan has been thrown out of heaven because of the results of the ascension of Jesus. The war in heaven that followed, VICTORY is ascribe chiefly to the blood of the LAMB . The blood was the power by which VICTORY had been gained. Praise God!! JESUS IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD!!! We all have a share in this as Christians, We stand on the blood of Christ the Lamb of God! That Blood covers us. We have the authority & victory over Satan by the blood of the Lamb!!! Praise God, stand on His Word, His Authority, His Victory!! In Christ Jesus Name, Rev. Londa Picard!!!

When You Speak, God Hears by Max Lucado

When You Speak, God Hears by Max Lucado Those who pray keep alive the watch fires of faith. For the most part we don’t even know their names. Such is the case of someone who prayed on a day long ago. His name is not important. He is important not because of who he was, but because of what he did. He went to Jesus on behalf of a friend. His friend was sick, and Jesus could help, and someone needed to go to Jesus, so someone went. Others cared for the sick man in other ways. Some brought food; others provided treatment; still others comforted the family. Each role was crucial. Each person was helpful, but no one was more vital than the one who went to Jesus. John writes: “So Mary and Martha sent someone to tell Jesus, ‘Lord, the one you love is sick’” (John 11:3, emphasis mine). Someone carried the request. Someone walked the trail. Someone went to Jesus on behalf of Lazarus. And because someone went, Jesus responded. In the economy of heaven, the prayers of saints are a valued commodity. John the apostle would agree. He wrote the story of Lazarus and was careful to show the sequence: The healing began when the request was made. The phrase the friend of Lazarus used is worth noting. When he told Jesus of the illness, he said, “The one you love is sick.” The power of the prayer, in other words, does not depend on the one who makes the prayer but on the one who hears the prayer. We can and must repeat the phrase in manifold ways. “The one you love is tired, sad, hungry, lonely, fearful, depressed.” The words of the prayer vary, but the response never changes. The Savior hears the prayer. He silences heaven so he won’t miss a word. The Master heard the request. Jesus stopped whatever he was doing and took note of the man’s words. This anonymous courier was heard by God. John’s message is critical. You can talk to God because God listens. Your voice matters in heaven. He takes you very seriously. When you enter his presence, the attendants turn to you to hear your voice. No need to fear that you will be ignored. Even if you stammer or stumble, even if what you have to say impresses no one, it impresses God—and he listens. Intently. Carefully. The prayers are honored as precious jewels. Purified and empowered, the words rise in a delightful fragrance to our Lord. “The smoke from the incense went up from the angel’s hand to God” (Rev. 8:4). Incredible. Your words do not stop until they reach the very throne of God. One call and heaven’s fleet appears. Your prayer on earth activates God’s power in heaven. You are the someone of God’s kingdom. Your prayers move God to change the world. You may not understand the mystery of prayer. You don’t need to. But this much is clear: Actions in heaven begin when someone prays on earth. What an amazing thought! When you speak, Jesus hears. And when Jesus hears, the world is changed. All because someone prayed. Read This Slowly

Read This Slowly Jack took a long look at his speedometer before slowing down: 73 in a 55 zone. Fourth time in as many months. How could a guy get caught so often? When his car had slowed to 10 miles an hour, Jack pulled over, but only partially. Let the cop worry about the potential traffic hazard. Maybe some other car will tweak his backside with a mirror. The cop was stepping out of his car, the big pad in hand. Bob? Bob from Church? Jack sunk farther into his trench coat. This was worse than the coming ticket. A cop catching a guy from his own church. A guy who happened to be a little eager to get home after a long day at the office. A guy he was about to play golf with tomorrow. Jumping out of the car, he approached a man he saw every Sunday, a man he'd never seen in uniform. 'Hi, Bob. Fancy meeting you like this.' 'Hello, Jack.' No smile. 'Guess you caught me red-handed in a rush to see my wife and kids.' 'Yeah, I guess...' Bob seemed uncertain. Good. 'I've seen some long days at the office lately. I'm afraid I bent the rules a bit -just this once.' Jack toed at a pebble on the pavement. 'Diane said something about roast beef and potatoes tonight. Know what I mean?' 'I know what you mean. I also know that you have a reputation in our precinct .' Ouch. This was not going in the right direction. Time to change tactics. 'What'd you clock me at?' 'Seventy... Would you sit back in your car please?' 'Now wait a minute here, Bob. I checked as soon as I saw you. I was barely nudging 65.' The lie seemed to come easier with every ticket. 'Please, Jack, in the car' Flustered, Jack hunched himself through the still-open door. Slamming it shut, he stared at the dashboard. He was in no rush to open the window. The minutes ticked by. Bob scribbled away on the pad. Why hadn't he asked for a driver's license? Whatever the reason, it would be a month of Sundays before Jack ever sat near this cop again. A tap on the door jerked his head to the left. There was Bob, a folded paper in hand Jack rolled down the window a mere two inches, just enough room for Bob to pass him the slip. 'Thanks.' Jack could not quite keep the sneer out of his voice. Bob returned to his police car without a word. Jack watched his retreat in the mirror. Jack unfolded the sheet of paper. How much was this one going to cost? Wait a minute. What was this? Some kind of joke? Certainly not a ticket. Jack began to read: 'Dear Jack, Once upon a time I had a daughter. She was six when killed by a car. You guessed it - a speeding driver. A fine and three months in jail, and the man was free. Free to hug his daughters, all three of them. I only had one, and I'm going to have to wait until Heaven before I can ever hug her again. A thousand times I've tried to forgive that man. A thousand times I thought I had.Maybe I did, but I need to do it again. Even now. Pray for me. And be careful, Jack, my son is all I have left.' 'Bob' Jack turned around in time to see Bob's car pull away and head down the road. Jack watched until it disappeared. A full 15 minutes later, he too, pulled away and drove slowly home, praying for forgiveness and hugging a surprised wife and kids when he arrived. Life is precious. Handle with care. This is an important message; please pass it along to your friends. Drive safely and carefully. Remember, cars are not the only things recalled by their maker. Funny how you can send a thousand jokes through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the sanctity of life, people think twice about sharing. Funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them. Pass this on, you may save a life. Maybe not, but we'll never know if we don't try.
