The political season is here, and it is not silly - it is sad. One of the most articulated, genuine grass root movements is now being smeared with the charge of racism by NAACP. First the tea partiers were violent, then they were Nazis, and now they’re bigots. These charges are not only irresponsible; they are offensive to all Americans. Of course, racial hucksters Al and Jesse weighed in on the NAACP resolution: Al acknowledged racial leaves in their (tea partiers) tea bags. However, Jesse said it was a diversion while declaring “. . . the issue really is not the tea party, it's the coffee pot. In the coffee pot there's room for cream and sugar for all of us.” If you think Jesse has stopped the racial demagoguery, he hasn’t. Earlier this week, Reverend Jackson wrote:

His feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. This is an owner employee relationship -- between business partners -- and LeBron honored his contract.

Back to the NAACP resolution, the race card is being played to distract people from the real issue which is the economy. Did I just agree with Rev. Jackson? Well, a broken clock is right twice a day. Anyway, the truth is the stimulus is not working unless you think central planning of the economy has delayed payoff, or that half million dollars per job created is a good bargain? If you do, take a good look at the 5 year plans of the Soviets in the twentieth century. The truth is only 13% of Americans believe these policies are helping the economy. This has yielded a credibility gap between the President and the people. Speaking of credibility, remember how the health care reform would not use tax payers funds for abortion, Katharine Lopez wrote this yesterday on the National Review’s blog The Corner:

Yesterday, we visited the Pennsylvania high-risk health-care insurance program and its abortion funding.

In New Mexico, the new $37 million high-risk pool began enrolling individuals on July 1. They will start receiving benefits in August, including elective-abortion services, according to the state insurance department's website. Once a deductible is paid, 80 percent of the elective abortion is covered.
