COVENANT - MEDIATOR OF THE COVENANT

Covenant - Mediator of the Covenant

New Covenant is the Basis of Ministry

2 Corinthians 3:6-18
6) who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7) But if the ministry of death, written & engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
8) how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?
9) For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
10) For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.
11) For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
12) Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech --
13) unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.
14) But their minds were hardened. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.
15) But even to this day, when Moses is read a veil lies on their heart.
16) Nevertheless when one turns to the LORD. the veil is taken away
17) Now the LORD is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is liberty
18) But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the LORD are as in a mirror the glory of the LORD, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the LORD

Jesus is the mediator of the covenant. In Jesus we are dead to sin & the law. In the New Covenant Grace is the main characteristic. The Old Covenant is the Law. The Spirit of the LORD has taken the veil or law away & given us Grace, the glory of the LORD, the Spirit of the LORD. With the Spirit we have been transformed into the same image of the LORD.

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Romans 7:4
Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another even to Him who was raised from the dead we should bear fruit to God

Galatians 5:18
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The law could not give deliverance from the power of sin. With the New Covenant glory of grace, it is working in us. And with grace working in us ALL The promises can be fulfilled & experience.
Grace gives God to love us freely with out our merits. God can bestow on us His blessing.

From the Webster Dictionary
GRACE - means:
1a) unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification
a state of sanctification enjoyed through the divine Grace of God.
1b) a virtue coming from God.
2a) APPROVAL, FAVOR.

We have discovered that as we live in Christ to God, that everything now is the work of God Himself! We must die to self, & be prepared to be led by the Holy Spirit into the full enjoyment of the New Covenant life. Giving self to surrender ALL to Jesus/God/Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 2: 14-16
14) knowing that He who raised up the LORD Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, & will present us with you
15) For all things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
16) Therefore we do not lose heart, Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

It is very exciting to know that the law points the way & that the New Covenant grace came by Jesus Christ our LORD. That now we have grace & we see the free & full pardon of all our transgressions & sins. That we have been bestowal of perfect righteousness, & the acceptance of Gods favor.

Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

We owe everything to the Grace of God!!!

1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, & His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the Grace of God which was with me.

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work

2 Corinthians 12:9a
And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness"

Ephesians 3:7
of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.

1 Timothy 1:14
And the grace of our LORD was exceeding abundant, with faith & love which are in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:1
You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

We are to be strong in grace. Jesus Christ gave us that grace it is in Him & since you are in Him, He is in you. You have GRACE! Praise God for that!!
