JESUS OF THE COVENANT

Jesus
of the New Covenant

I have written on Jesus being our MEDIATOR in the New Covenant. I will give you a couple more.

2 Corinthians 3:6
who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Hebrew 8:6
But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better Covenant, which was established on better promises.

Hebrew 7:22
And according to the law almost all things are purged with blood, without shedding of blood there is no remission.

He is the New Covenant -
Union between God & man. A reconciliation between the human & the divine. In Him His people found the Covenant & all it's Blessing. Jesus is the gift of God, that was given to us for the covering of our sins.

Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His Grace.

He is the Messenger of the New Covenant -
Jesus is our guarantee of the covenant. His blood was shed for us. Jesus was the one who paid the price for us with His own life. That blood covered our sins so God would not remember them any more.

Hebrew 12:24
to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, & to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel

He is the Mediator of the New Covenant -
Jesus is the atoning blood. He established that by FAITH. Jesus walked in FAITH, so we enter by FAITH in His resurrection life. That He never stops interceding for us before God.
Christ points us toward the one truth in the New Covenant "Christ is all in all".

Hebrews 7:20, 22, 25
20) And inasmuch as He was not made a priest without an oath.
22) by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant,
25) Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them

He is the Surety & High Priest of the New Covenant -
From Strong's Exhaustive Concordance G1450:
engyos from G1722 & guion (limb); pledged (as if articulated by member), i.e. bondsman.
G1722 en a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state) & (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest, give self wholly
The Bible tells that His priesthood was confirmed by the oath of God. He became a lot better Covenant. And with Gods Oath, Jesus gives us security.

Hebrew 6: 16 - 18
16) For men indeed swear by the greater, & an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.
17) Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath,
18) that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

God cannot lie!!! As the Hebrew 6 tells us we are heirs of the promise. It is an OATH, a BLOOD Covenant. God see Jesus not us. Jesus is at God thrown interceding for us.

Amen & Amen
