Now that I know it is the LAW - I will do it for sure
Any time you call an 800 number
(for a credit card, banking, charter communications, health and other insurance, computer help desk, etc)
and you find that you're talking to a foreign customer service representative
(perhaps in India, Philippines, etc),
please consider doing the following:
After you connect and you realize that the customer service representative is not from the USA
(you can always ask if you are not sure about the accent),
please, very politely
(this is not about trashing other cultures)
say, "I'd like to speak to a customer service representative in the United States of America .."
The rep might suggest talking to his/her manager,
but, again, politely say, "Thank you, but I'd like to speak to a customer service representative in the USA .."
YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A REP IN THE USA .
That's the rule and the LAW.
It takes less than one minute to have your call re-directed to the USA .
Tonight when I got redirected to a USA rep, I asked again to make sure - and yes, she was from Fort Lauderdale .
Imagine what would happen if every US citizen insisted on talking to only US phone reps from this day on.
Imagine how that would ultimately impact the number of US jobs that would need to be created ASAP.
If I tell 10 people to consider this and you tell 10 people to consider doing this - see what I mean...it becomes an exercise in
viral marketing 101.
Remember - the goal here is to restore jobs back here at home - not to be abrupt or rude to a foreign phone rep. You may even get
correct answers, good advice, and solutions to your problem - in real English.
If you agree, please tell 10 people you know, and ask them to tell 10 people they know....etc...etc

In This Issue: Following a pro-life victory in the House, the Protect Life Act moves to a reluctant Senate where a group of Senate leaders push Rep. Cliff Stearns to drop his investigation of Planned Parenthood.
AUL Salutes Bipartisan Victory --
The Passage of the
Protect Life Act
Up Next: a vote in the Senate
“Money is fungible,” says AULA’s Dr. Yoest. “Taxpayers should not be
involuntary donors to the abortion industry
and health care workers’ conscience rights must
be protected. It is time for the U.S. Senate to add its support for the 7 in 10
taxpayers who do not want their money subsidizing the abortion industry.”
Members of the U.S. House voted 251 to 172 to support the Protect Life Act -- a bill that addresses anti-life and anti-conscience threats in the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the health care law enacted in 2010. The measure is designed to deal with loopholes in the health care law that would allow some monies to subsidize abortions. AULA has been active on Capitol Hill on behalf of the bill to deal with the deficiencies in the health care law where the matter now moves to the Senate.
“This is a bi-partisan issues,” said AULA’s President and CEO Dr. Charmaine Yoest. “Among the majority voting in the House were 15 Democrats who understood that taxpayers do not support a health care law when it funds abortion. It is now up to the Senate to defend the rights of taxpayers who do not want to be forced to subsidize abortion.” For a round up of reaction to the vote, and to see how your member voted, click here.
The bill now heads to the Senate where passage is deemed less likely. Last week, White House advisors released a statement saying that they would recommend that the President veto the measure should the Senate follow the House. That would be a mistake on the part of the President, said Dr. Yoest.
"This vote applies longstanding federal law and policy to the pro-abortion health care law. It would ensure that no funds authorized or appropriated through the health care law can be used for abortion or insurance plans that provide abortion coverage,” said Dr. Yoest. “That is what the White House promised when the law was written. A vote for the Protect Life Act would keep that promise.”
The Protect Life Act applies the principles of the Hyde Amendment – which prohibits federal funding for abortion and federal funding for insurance plans that cover abortion – to the ACA. It replaces the ACA’s accounting gimmick in the state insurance exchanges (which the ACA requires be in place by 2014) and closes the loopholes in other funding streams that lack any statutory restrictions on using their funds directly for abortion.
But in reporting on the debate, The Washington Post noted, “The real abortion battle isn’t on the Hill. It’s in the states.”
Talking with reporter Sarah Kliff, Dr. Yoest noted that AUL is working a “two-pronged approach,” targeting the issue of ending taxpayer funding of abortion at the state and national levels.
“The vote today on Capitol Hill is important, but it is not the only game going on,” she said. “Many victories have been accumulated at the state level.” To read the analysis in The Washington Post, click here.

Senators Pressure Rep. Cliff Stearns to Drop Investigation of Planned Parenthood
Pro-abortion U.S. Senators sent a letter to Rep. Cliff Stearns last week to “express our strong disapproval of your Subcommittee’s investigation into Planned Parenthood and their affiliates.”
Despite the fact that AUL documents in its “Case for Investigating Planned Parenthood” evidence of Planned Parenthood’s misuse of federal government funding, its failure to comply with mandatory reporting laws for child sexual abuse and statutory rape, and its willingness to assist those allegedly engaged in sex-trafficking of girls as young as 14, the Senators called Rep. Stearns’ investigation into Planned Parenthood “invasive and baseless.”
The letter was sent by Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), and Patty Murray (D-WA) -- Senators Mark Begich (D-AK), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), and Jon Tester (D-MT) are cosignatories of the letter. To read it in full, click here.
Dr. Yoest commended Rep. Stearns for his courage in investigating an organization “championed by so many politically powerful cultural leaders. This is an honest inquiry into what is happening to our tax dollars: one million dollars a day subsidizing Planned Parenthood.”

Chairman Stearns Discusses
Planned Parenthood Investigation
Rep. Cliff Stearns appeared on The 700 Club last week to discuss the investigation of Planned Parenthood. While being interviewed by Pat Robertson, Stearns mentioned AUL’s Special Report: The Case for Investigating Planned Parenthood as one of the things that prompted his investigation. In the News
The Daily Callernoted Dr. Yoest’s reaction to a powerful, pro-life ad released by Rep. Ron Paul, a former ob-gyn. “The overall message of the ad is a beautiful reminder that as a society, we should consider all our children valuable, worthy of our protection,” she wrote in an emailed statement.

The National Catholic Register, reporting on the Heartbeat Informed Consent Act sponsored by Rep. Michelle Bachmann, noted Dr. Yoest’s reaction: “This bill provides concrete, positive and effective steps for Congress to protect women’s health.” To read the entire article, click here.
Thankfully the drama of September is over. On to the drama of October.
That means that the deadline for the Department of Energy to give away more taxpayer money to companies like Solyndra has come and gone. But the story hasn’t ended, yet.
Even as new details were emerging that showed that big donors to the Democrats got paid millions for legal work on the Solyndra deal, the DOE was rushing to cut more checks in front of the September 30th deadline. These checks will go to more bleeding-edge, bleeding-heart companies that will provide even fewer jobs for the working-class that Democrats say they care about.
On the last day of the program, the DOE approved loans totaling nine Solyndras, or $4.7 billion. That means that in six short months another 10,000 people will be losing their jobs, at the cost of $470,000 per job to the American taxpayers, thanks to the DOE loan program.
But, in fairness, that doesn’t take into account the jobs that will be saved by the administration’s actions on the loan program.
After all, somewhere out there, there are a dozen politically connected, left-leaning lawyers who bill by the hour and write checks by the party. At all costs, these jobs must be saved. For Democrats, lawyers, union executives and community organizers are the new blue collar in America.
In the meantime, leftist anarchists are protesting in Manhattan, that bastion of right-wing ideology over foreclosures, joblessness and bailouts, according to reports from Bloomberg.com.
And their cause is threatening the foundations of that other tower of right-wing thought: Los Angeles.
“The Occupy Wall Street movement, which has garnered the support of celebrities such as filmmaker Michael Moore and actress Susan Sarandon, are protesting against home foreclosures, high unemployment and the 2008 bailouts,” writes Bloomberg. “In Los Angeles, more than 100 protesters camped out in front of City Hall overnight Saturday. Occupy Wall Street organizers say they hope to see such protests spread across the country.”
Over the weekend, the protestors captured the Brooklyn Bridge, but had to give it back to police when NATO failed to follow up in support of the protestors with time-limited, scope-limited, kinetic military activity. Also, there was a text making rounds that Starbucks was offering two-for-one chai-tea mocha lattes (no foam) until 3 pm.
"In an hour or two, we'll be somewhere else protesting," said Patrick Bruner, an English major at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, who has been serving as a spokesman for the protesters according toYahoo.
Skidmore tuition runs $42,380 per year.
Ironically, Skidmore also offers a college employment service.
Memo to protestors: These services are useful in finding jobs. You can even access the site with your mobile phone. If that doesn’t work you can go here.
But before they rush out to rejoin the ranks of English majors and the work-a-day majority, perhaps they should take a civics class to learn exactly where these protests should really be taking place.
Because it’s not on Wall Street or at city hall in Los Angeles, or on the Brooklyn Bridge where the failures in the country start.
If Obama really cared about your progressive causes he wouldn’t have used the DOE program for a slush fund; he would have solved illegal immigration when he had a majority; he would have passed a healthcare bill that brought costs down; he would have closed Gitmo; he would have arrested Al Awaki; he would have declared war in Libya.
He would have kept one of the myriad of promises he made. But instead he broke them because keeping them was too inconvenient.
It’s in the White House where the hypocrisy runs the deepest.
And it’s in the White House where they are playing the progressives for a bunch of dopes.
Right on cue, progressives are playing their part.
Even an English major should be able to figure that much out.

As I write this, Congress has taken the first official steps in investigating Planned Parenthood—in large part because of our work! We applaud this common sense move and congratulate Congressman Cliff Stearns for spearheading this unprecedented initiative for life. Congressman Stearns himself said: "Although Planned Parenthood is barred from using federal funds to perform abortions, these funds are fungible and allow the group to use funds from other sources ostensibly for abortions. Since the Planned Parenthood Foundation of America receives about $1 million a day in taxpayer funds, I sent a letter to the group's president requesting documents and information as we look at the organization's use of federal dollars and its compliance with various laws." Now we must seize the opportunity to break the back of the nation's largest pro-abortion juggernaut. Continue reading this time-sensitive message to learn how.
Dear Friend of Life,
Make no mistake about it: this is the biggest pro-life opportunity since Roe v. Wade. How we respond as a movement, right now, may determine whether Congress ultimately de-funds Planned Parenthood. Congressman Henry Waxman and Planned Parenthood's other allies in the Congress know that Planned Parenthood's federal funding is in danger and are already attacking pro-life efforts, saying that these efforts amount to harassment!
Earlier this year, we released a thirty-page analysis entitled The Case for Investigating Planned Parenthood, exposing Planned Parenthood's misuse of federal funds, failure to report child sex abuse, willful disregard for state laws regulating abortion, and a host of other scandalous activities. The report worked: Planned Parenthood will now be held to account for its long history of waste, fraud, and systemic abuse before the entire nation!
In fact, numerous media outlets have gone to press about AUL's crucial role in pushing for this investigation. The Washington Independent reported that Congressman Stearns has ordered that the process go forward "based on" the findings of the AUL report!
How badly do you want to see Congress strip Planned Parenthood of its federal subsidies? How badly do you want to see Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, forced to explain Planned Parenthood's deadly work before the entire nation?
My friends, we're this close! Will you put us over the top right now?
Planned Parenthood has circled the wagon, hired expensive lawyers and is sweating this out. But they haven't seen anything yet – just wait until they turn on the hot interrogation lights on Capitol Hill! Your immediate response will determine just how much we can help.
Yours for Life,
Charmaine Yoest, Ph.D.

The Obama administration's crony green subsidy scandal is erupting like a solar flare in Washington. But do you know what your kids are learning in their environmental education classes about this red-hot taxpayer eco-scam? Chances are: not much.
Instead, the U.S. Department of Energy and the Democratic apparatchiks at the National Education Association are disseminating solar power propaganda masquerading as math and science curricula.
Titled "Solar Power and Me: The Inherent Advantages," the lesson plan for middle-school and high-school students directs them to "take note of how solar energy is incorporated into the infrastructure of various cities nationwide and write a short essay about how they would encourage solar energy use in their own town."
A worksheet labeled "All About Solar!" makes the blanket assertion that solar technologies are "a sound economical choice as they can reduce or eliminate exposure to rising electricity rates, or even eliminate one's need to pay an electrical bill! In addition, solar panels can be a smart long-term investment, with many solar vendors offering 20-30 year warranties on their products."
The only warranties worth anything from bankrupt, half-billion-dollar solar company Solyndra Inc. are the warranties on the Disney whistling robots and saunas that adorned its Taj Mahal headquarters. But I digress.
Another worksheet cheerleads the "financial savings" of "solar power and me" and coaches students to "imagine you live in amazing and sunny Anaheim, CA, where the combination of local and federal rebates covers 74 percent of your total cost of a solar panel system!" The exercise then entices the student to take out a 20-year loan on a new solar panel system to produce even greater illusory savings.
Yet another question-and-answer key reads: "How would switching to solar energy affect energy use at your home and school?" Answer: "In general, switching to solar energy would lower your home's electrical costs and reduce your emissions, thus saving money and improving the environment."
But as Brian McGraw of the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute points out: "There might be a small niche market, but solar energy is still largely incapable of producing reliable electricity at rates that are even in the ballpark of cost competitiveness compared to coal or natural gas." Energy Secretary Steven Chu, the force behind billions of dollars' worth of rushed green energy loans overseen by deep-pocketed Obama bundlers, himself acknowledged that solar tech will need to improve five-fold before it even begins to have a cost-competitive shot.
After examining decades' worth of failed subsidized solar efforts at home and around the world, the Institute for Energy Research concludes: "Although stand-alone solar power has a certain free-market niche and does not need government favor, using solar power for grid electricity has been and will be an economic loser for ratepayers and a burden to taxpayers."
The DOE/NEA curriculum encourages students to pressure politicians to pour more money into supposedly underfunded green energy schemes. But the House Budget Committee reported last week: "The president's stimulus law alone included tens of billions in new government subsidies for politically favored renewable-energy interests: $6 billion in loan guarantees for renewable energy investments; $17 billion for the Department of Energy's energy efficiency and renewable energy programs; $2 billion for energy-efficient battery manufacturing; and billions more on other 'clean-energy' programs for a total of $80 billion. Two years later, the president's promise of millions of jobs stands in stark contrast with reality."
A more useful homework assignment would be to have these future taxpayers calculate how much their moms and dads are spending to prop up Obama's green jobs industry and its elite Democratic campaign finance donors/investors. The White House projected 65,000 new jobs from nearly $40 billion in green job stimulus spending. Instead, fewer than 3,600 jobs were created. Get out your calculators, kids: That's $4.85 million per job. Investor's Business Daily crunches the numbers further on the taxpayers' return on its DOE green loan guarantee "investments" and finds that the program will cost a whopping $23 million per job.
A separate NEA solar energy lesson plan marketed with Dow Corning teaches 5th- through 8th-graders "how solar panels work." A more apt, real-world lesson would teach them how they don't work. The myth that this alternative energy source "pays for itself" is busted with just a cursory glance at the Denver Museum of Science and Nature.
President Obama staged a photo-op on the facility's solar panel roof in 2009 when he signed the green jobs goodie-stuffed stimulus law. The museum refused to disclose electric bills before and after installation of the solar array. But after digging into the lavishly taxpayer-funded project, the Colorado-based Independence Institute discovered that the panels -- which only last 25 years -- wouldn't "pay for themselves" until the year 2118, more than a century from now.
It's elementary. The government shouldn't be in the business of picking any eco-winners or losers. "Too Green To Fail" redistributes wealth from viable private projects to pipe dreams, forces higher taxes and energy costs on everyone, and rewards partisan funders at public expense. Teach your children well. They're inheriting the bill.
Earlier this week, a Republican strategist told the New York Times, "If the voters wanted politicians with courage, they’d reward them. Voters punish people who behave like that." That mindset, so prevalent among the Washington Establishment, is why our country is on the verge of a fiscal crisis. Heritage Action is standing side-by-side with conservative leaders who have the courage to stand up and fight for conservative principles. Unfortunately, taking this principled stand is unpopular with many in Washington. They are content with preserving status quo in order to avoid politically damaging battles. >> Learn more: See why backing down is not an option. Liberals and the Washington Establishment will never do what it takes to save the American dream. We can either keep the politics that have driven us to the brink of bankruptcy, or we can cut spending, shrink government and restore prosperity. >> Read the column where we push this message to Washington.
Heritage Action will continue to stand with courageous conservatives, pushing Washington to put leadership and country before re-election. These leaders will save the American dream; they need to be heard.

Rick Perry is catching a lot of heat for his statements on educating immigrants in Texas. Rick Santorum, and then Mitt Romney, went after him hard. There is an anti-immigrant movement among a sector of Americans.
Some are Democrats, and some are Republicans. You might see it in emails talking about English as our official language, or how many babies are born in hospitals to illegals. I have never checked out the emails to see what is true and what is not.
In the Democratically controlled Congress from 2007-2010, one of the first things they did was create an economic fence so Americans and immigrants couldn’t get out. A roach motel.
Personally, I like Gary Becker’s approach. There is a supply of immigrants, and demand for immigrants so figure out a way to charge for immigration. We need high quality engineers and scientists. Figure out a way for them to enter the country easily other than the archaic visa program we currently have.
Here is what Perry said the other night:
the law sends a message to young people that, regardless of what the sound of their last name is, that we believe in you. We are going to allow you to be a contributing members of the state of Texas and not be a drain on the system.
In 1980, Ronald Reagan, that icon of conservatives, was asked a similar question.
Here is what he had to say:
Can I add to that? I think the time has come that the United States and our neighbors, particularly our neighbor to the south, should have a better understanding and a better relationship than we’ve ever had. And I think that we haven’t been sensitive enough to our size and our power. They have a problem of 40 to 50 percent unemployment. Now this cannot continue without the possibility arising with regard to that other country that we talked about—Cuba—and what it is stirring up: the possibility of trouble below the border, and we could have a very hostile and strange neighbor on our border. Rather than talking about putting up a fence, why don’t we work out some recognition of our mutual problems? Make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit—and then while they’re working and earning here, they pay taxes here. And when they want to go back, they can go back. And open the border both ways by understanding their problems.
We cannot put up a fence and solve our problems. We can’t put more patrols and solve our problems. Illegal immigration is an economic problem, not a law and order one. We solve for the economics, and the law and order will take care of itself.
A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses. She started her class by saying, “Everyone who thinks they're stupid, stand up!”
After a few seconds, Little Larry stood up. The teacher said, “Do you think you're stupid, Larry?”
“No, ma'am, but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself!”
Larry watched, fascinated, as his mother smoothed cold cream on her face.
“Why do you do that, mommy?” he asked. “To make myself beautiful,” said his mother, who then began removing the cream with a tissue.
“What's the matter”, asked Larry “Giving up?”
The math teacher saw that Larry wasn't paying attention in class.
She called on him and said, “Larry! What are 2 and 4 and 28 and 44?”
Larry quickly replied, “NBC, FOX, ESPN and the Cartoon Network!”
Larry's kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals.
One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person.
“Yes” said the policeman. “The detectives want very badly to capture him.”
Larry asked, "Why didn't you keep him when you took his picture?”
Little Larry attended a horse auction with his father. He watched as his father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the horse's legs and rump, and chest.
After a few minutes, Larry asked, “Dad, why are you doing that?”
His father replied, “Because when I'm buying horses, I have to make sure that they are healthy and in good shape before I buy.”
Larry, looking worried, said, “Dad, I think the Milkman wants to buy Mum .....”
If this brightened your day, don't let it stop here
Pass it on with a smile
A "deadly" article regarding Obama, at the Wall Street Journal, which today is the most widely circulated newspaper in America.
Article from the Wall Street Journal - by Eddie Sessions:
"I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he's led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group (George Soros anybody?) took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.
In a very real way, he has been a young man in a very big hurry. Who else do you know has written two memoirs before the age of 45? "Dreams of My Father" was published in 1995 when he was only 34 years old. The "Audacity of Hope" followed in 2006. If, indeed, he did write them himself. There are some who think that his mentor and friend, Bill Ayers, a man who calls himself a "communist with a small 'c'" was the real author.
His political skills consisted of rarely voting on anything that might be deemed controversial.. He went from a legislator in the Illinois legislature to the Senator from that state because he had the good fortune of having Mayor Daley's formidable political machine at his disposal.
He was in the U.S. Senate so briefly that his bid for the presidency was either an act of astonishing self-confidence or part of some greater game plan that had been determined before he first stepped foot in the Capital.. How, many must wonder, was he selected to be a 2004 keynote speaker at the Democrat convention that nominated John Kerry when virtually no one had ever even heard of him before?
He outmaneuvered Hillary Clinton in primaries. He took Iowa by storm. A charming young man, an anomaly in the state with a very small black population, he oozed "cool" in a place where agriculture was the antithesis of cool. He dazzled the locals. And he had an army of volunteers drawn to a charisma that hid any real substance.
And then he had the great good fortune of having the Republicans select one of the most inept candidates for the presidency since Bob Dole And then John McCain did something crazy. He picked Sarah Palin, an unknown female governor from the very distant state of Alaska . It was a ticket that was reminiscent of 1984's Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro and they went down to defeat.
The mainstream political media fell in love with him. It was a schoolgirl crush with febrile commentators like Chris Mathews swooning then and now over the man. The venom directed against McCain and, in particular, Palin, was extraordinary.
Now, nearly 3 full years into his presidency, all of those gilded years leading up to the White House have left him unprepared to be President.. Left to his own instincts, he has a talent for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. It swiftly became a joke that he could not deliver even the briefest of statements without the ever-present Tele-Prompters.
Far worse, however, is his capacity to want to "wish away" some terrible realities, not the least of which is the Islamist intention to destroy America and enslave the West. Any student of history knows how swiftly Islam initially spread. It knocked on the doors of Europe, having gained a foothold in Spain...
The great crowds that greeted him at home or on his campaign "world tour" were no substitute for having even the slightest grasp of history and the reality of a world filled with really bad people with really bad intentions.
Oddly and perhaps even inevitably, his political experience, a cakewalk, has positioned him to destroy the Democrat Party's hold on power in Congress because in the end it was never about the Party. It was always about his communist ideology, learned at an early age from family, mentors, college professors, and extreme leftist friends and colleagues.
Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an "obstreperous" Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against "jumping to conclusions" about a mass murderer at FortHood who shouted "Allahu Akbar." The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber "an isolated extremist" only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.
He is a man who could strive to close down our detention facility at Guantanamo even though those released were known to have returned to the battlefield against America . He could even instruct his Attorney General to afford the perpetrator of 9/11 a civil trial when no one else would ever even consider such an obscenity. And he is a man who could wait three days before having anything to say about the perpetrator of yet another terrorist attack on Americans and then have to elaborate on his remarks the following day because his first statement was so lame.
The pattern repeats itself. He either blames any problem on the Bush administration or he naively seeks to wish away the truth.
Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual's life.
When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden.
We laugh at the ventriloquist's dummy, but what do you do when the dummy is President of the United States of America?
The Obama administration told the Palestinian Authority it cannot significantly help advance a Palestinian state until after the 2012 presidential elections, a top PA official told WND.
The official, however, said the U.S. will press for a Palestinian state quickly if President Obama is re-elected.
"The main message we received from the U.S. is that nothing will happen in a serious way before the 2012 elections," said the official.
The PA official said Obama "will not accept the Palestinian request of a state at the (U.N.) Security Council and cannot help on the ground for now."
"We were told to wait for Obama's reelection, and that before then nothing serious will happen for a state," the official continued. "But after the reelection, the U.S. said the schedule will be short to reach a Palestinian state."
Obama's policies toward Israel have been highlighted in local and national campaigns, with many Democrats fearing voters will oppose them due to the perception the president is anti-Israel.
Obama's treatment of Israel was a significant issue in the recent election of Republican Bob Turner to former Rep. Anthony Weiner's seat in a district that had not elected a GOP candidate since 1923.
Also, presidential contenders such as Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., have been strongly criticizing Obama on Israel.
