HERITAGE ACTION FOR AMERICA

Dear Londa,

It has been six months since Obamacare was signed into law. The day after its passage, The Heritage Foundation -- America's leading conservative policy organization -- released a public statement calling for its total repeal. Our message has not changed. And countless Americans, like you, stand with us.

Heritage Action for America has an aggressive strategy for repeal.

Watch the video about Heritage Action and its repeal strategy—and learn more about next Week’s Repeal Obamacare Money Bomb.

Heritage Action has an ambitious goal: raise $200,000 by Friday, October 8 to support their fight for repeal.

In June, they embarked on a national campaign to repeal Obamacare. They’re laying the legislative and political groundwork for repeal in the House of Representatives. They’re teaming up with members of Congress and candidates to ensure that health care remains a critical issue in November and beyond. And they’re reminding Washington liberals that the fight against Obamacare has only just begun.

Heritage Action’s strategy is in motion. Its impact is already visible. In just a couple short months, the Heritage Action team has laid a solid groundwork for repeal. Consider what they’re doing:

Pushing for repeal in Congress. Shortly after its launch, Heritage Action worked with Rep. Steve King (R-IA) to file Discharge Petition 11, a parliamentary procedure that would force a re-vote on Obamacare. To date, 173 members of the House of Representatives have signed the petition, from both parties. 218 signatures are needed to force a re-vote. Heritage Action is holding accountable those members who voted against Obamacare but haven’t signed on to repeal it.

King praised “the effectiveness of the efforts of the Heritage Action team” as critical to the petition’s success.

Building an activist network. Armed with a new activist website, Heritage Action is establishing a grassroots network of concerned Americans, particularly in key Congressional districts. They are providing the American people with the tools to engage the repeal debate, join it, and make a difference.

Running hard-hitting advertisements. Heritage Action’s TV advertisements remind Americans that we must hold our legislators accountable. One recent video became an overnight YouTube sensation. Other advertisements were run in the home districts of key Congressmen to ensure they—and their constituents—know that repeal still matters.

Every day, more and more Americans come out against Obamacare, and Heritage Action has been critical in keeping the fight alive.

But if we’re serious about repeal, we must do so much more. And we have to do it now, before the elections, before the people hold their representatives accountable.

That’s why Heritage Action for America is launching the Repeal Obamacare Money Bomb, with a goal of raising $200,000 by next Friday, October 8.

Watch the video and find out more about their strategy and the Repeal Obamacare Money Bomb.

Please mark you calendars for this important campaign, which is sure to send a message to the Washington establishment that Americans will not tolerate being ignored – especially on an issue as personal as their health care.

The repeal strategy I outlined is only the tip of the iceberg for Heritage Action. In the weeks and months to come, Heritage Action will expand its outreach to swing states around the country. These are key states represented by “moderates” where their resources can have the most impact. Their growing grassroots network will be critical to ensuring that we have allies on the ground at all times.

And your financial support will make all of this possible.

This campaign is truly ambitious in scope. Even after the election, Heritage Action will be operating much as a political campaign does. They will have field operatives on the ground in key places. They will distribute yard signs and bumper stickers. But unlike the campaigns going on now, this is a campaign for principle – not candidates.

Freedom-loving Americans must realize that the only alternative to repealing Obamacare is living with Obamacare in perpetuity.

Not repealing Obamacare will empower an ever-bigger government. It will burden future generations with massive debt. It will undermine the very ideals that make our nation great — freedom, opportunity, prosperity and civil society.

The fight for repeal won’t be easy. But it will be possible if you and I stand with Heritage Action and offer our support.

Please, mark your calendar for October 8 and join Heritage Action in sending a message to Washington: Repeal Obamacare!

Sincerely,

Edwin J. Feulner, Ph.D.

President
