JOY - 1

JOY - 1

Hebrews 12:2
looking unto Jesus, the author & finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, & has a sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

If our minds stay focus on God & not ourselves we will have peace & joy. But if we keep our minds on self we lose all the joy & peace we had. It has nothing to do with how I feel, what I have done, or what I think. It all has to do with what Jesus Christ have done & what He is.

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge & strength, A very present help in trouble

We put our trust into Jesus Christ, not ourselves. Now faith itself looks out-wards, but self looks inwards. Jesus Christ will never fail us; He is our refuge & our strength. So put your trust in God's power, in His love, in His peace, & in His joy!
It is a privilege to have love, joy, & peace. Joy is the second one of the main Fruit of the Spirit. And there is power in Joy.

Galatians 5: 22 - 26
22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
24) And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions & desires,
25) If we live in the Spirit, let also walk in the Spirit.
26) Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Let us walk in the light of the blood of Jesus Christ!

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, & the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Isaiah 2:5
O house of Jacob, come & let us walk In the light of the Lord.

Ephesians 5: 8 & 9
8) For you were once darkness, but, now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light
9) (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, & truth)

Once again it is our privilege to be full of the Joy of the Lord. As the song says "The Joy of the Lord is my strength". Joy comes after believing. When we believe the Gospel the joy comes into our soul & spirit.

In Luke 10:1 Jesus sent seventy people out & they preached salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. The seventy had something to rejoice about! That was totally something to rejoice about - The Gospel & the Word of God is an assurance to us. God is the author of joy, peace, & love. He is the one who brings this joy unto you. We cannot have joy without Him.
