NEA incompatible with Judeo-Christian values

An educator and radio show host in Indiana believes there's no rational reason for a teacher who professes to hold Judeo-Christian principles to continue to support the National Education Association.
Peter Heck is a public school teacher in Indiana who also hosts a daily radio call-in show. He tells OneNewsNow that the NEA is not only anti-Christian but anti-American as well. Heck says there is no other way to explain why the lobby organization would add October 1st on their online "Diversity Calendar" to encourage teachers to celebrate the communist revolution in China.
"[A revolution] that ushered in Chairman Mao Zedong who managed to butcher more innocent people than any regime in world history," he notes.
According to press reports, the NEA has since removed the event from its website. But Heck says there is more to worry about.
"They may take down the piece on Chairman Mao because of the natural reaction it was getting from Americans, but what's still up on their recommended reading list for American educators' is the works of Saul Alinsky, a self-proclaimed Satanist, who of course inspired the current president with his ideas on progressive and socialist community organizing," says the radio host.
Heck believes the NEA has long since taken a stance that is incompatible with a majority of teachers. "There's just no questioning the fact that this is an organization that has staked its claim in opposition of the values that Christian teachers -- and by and large, most American teachers -- hold dear," he comments, adding that he finds the stance "appalling."
He reminds teachers of alternatives to the NEA -- such as Christian Educators Association International and the Association of American Educators.
