The Fantasy of a Palestinian State
It is a lie or stupidity to maintain that the Palestinians will be satisfied with a two-state solution | Ludwig Schneider

GUNS AND GRENADES: Mahmoud Abbas with the Palestinian coat of arms that calls for armed struggleFor years the world has been tricked into believing that the only solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a two-state solution: “an independent Palestinian state living side by side with a secure Israel in peace.” However, bitter futility stands in opposition to sweet dreams.
History bears it out that attempts to turn fantasy into political reality often end in war. One historical example of this political deception is the Polish Corridor from 1918-1939, which led to the outbreak of World War II.
A Palestinian state would be no different. The area would be divided into the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria (the so-called “West Bank”), with the only link a corridor that would pass through the center of Israel. This could provide the fuse for an Arab-Israeli war.
The Palestinians may be separated geographically and politically (Hamas in Gaza and Fatah in Judea and Samaria), but they have a common goal—the destruction of the State of Israel. With a Palestinian state, they would be able to attack Israel on two fronts.
