I recently wrote to you about AUL's work to help 28 states "opt-out" of the explicit funding for insurance plans that cover abortion under the new health care reform. Arizona, Mississippi, and Tennessee have already successfully enacted such legislation, while Florida and Missouri are awaiting the governors' signatures. We hope that all 50 states will eventually join us in this important life-saving effort.

I have also told you about Elena Kagan - the most pro-abortion nominee to the Supreme Court in a decade. AUL is hard at work making sure America knows of her long-standing support for judicial activism and abortion on-demand.

Without a doubt, we are facing the greatest threat to life and the greatest expansion of abortion in America since Roe v. Wade. That is why we are urgently requesting your support. A little over a week ago, Planned Parenthood held its ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new abortion "mega-mart" in Houston, Texas. The Houston Chronicle reported that this 78,000 square foot abortion center - the largest in America - has a waiting room that can seat as many as sixty women at a time. With our tax dollars further funding Planned Parenthood, could these abortion "mega-marts" become as common as the local Wal-Mart? We cannot allow our nation to find out!
